Rubberbanding. FYI, I haven't played any of the Hunt since roughly this time yesterday.

I wonder if that is the max that rubberbanding will give you, meaning there is something of a cap on it. As someone who is high in my bracket that would make me happy. icon_lol.gif
  • Probably max for that mission. But
Last of 'em at 1175 points
  • Temporarily Number 1 in my bracket for Alaska with 6053
Also played through most of Florida

Really? 1.2k for a single mission? This ruberbanding is just....I don't even know.

I guess I'll wait for punisher to come up in a PvP tournament, because **** trying to figure this out
  • Independent of the weird rubber banding, I have to say this event's design was fantastic story and mission-wise. Love that it split off and that it basically created one main bracket and then three sub brackets with different people. Plus the writing was fun. This just reminds me how much more I enjoy the PvE missions over pvp, as I'm enjoying the iso build, but am more enjoying the mission variety. Final mission of the third sub mission was a great, funny surprise.

Agree with this. The way the missions branched out to tell the next part of the story was well thought out and moving in more creative directions for these events is definitely a step in the right direction.

I think after Alaska closes, I'm just going to stop worrying about rubberbanding and the updates that change things so often. I'll get my (plentiful) mission rewards and call it a good day. If Punisher is anything like IM40, I still have plenty of opportunity to get him that doesn't require an extra 10 hours of grinding for just the possibility of getting him.
  • By separating the brackets like that, they've assured that people with slow hunt brackets never see rewards from the sub brackets. Food for thought.

The subbrackets will be dominated by new ppl who's rubberbanding will rocket them up .. but only one. You can't rocket all three, for now. I'll tell u how my testing goes to see if it works. Also what happens when all 3 expire? It's a 10 day event and all events will expire. We shall see

My hunt bracket is hovering at around 2k (with me at the top). It's impossible for me to do well in the sub brackets, even one of them. I'm not mad, but it is a notable flaw.

Really funny that you posted the screen of this mission because that's the only mission that gives me exactly 0 points for like 7 hours or so now. I seem to be in a bracket where everything is normal, no crazy values, the top is creeping slowly up with 30 to 40 points steps, rubberbanding sometimes gives me 5 points more for a mission, sometimes 5 less. Makes me wonder why it's not that way for everyone
  • The points dropped pretty steeply after a few completions. It feels pretty much the same as the invisible woman event to me, though I guess it's slightly different due to the subbrackets.

For the record, I didn't even attempt for the 1175 points. My Thor isn't leveled high enough. Any win on my part would have to be pure luck. If only I could use my own Ragnarok... After doing Outta My House a number of times and several of the Florida missions, Last of 'Em is a more "reasonable" 565 points currently.

Also - my main bracket leader is at 5180 points. My Alaska bracket leader is roughly the same, 5186. I currently have 3673 (211th) in main, 2674 (46th) in Alaska, 712 (230th) in Florida (which I only just joined). My Alaska bracket still has 6 hours left. I didn't check, but I think I had only about 1000 points when I started back up tonight. So in less than an hour, I was able to get ~2600 points.
  • As a huge Jack Kirby fan, just wanted to say how the "guest star" in the Savage Land chapter of "The Hunt" gave me a huge grin. icon_e_biggrin.gif
    Awesome stuff.

No idea how people are getting 5k on the sub-competitions, the points are dropping pretty severely for me, the top one went from 350 to 2-something after only 1 clear

I joined in after the iron man tournament ended - got first place finish for the first time! Anyway, I seem to be all hosed up but suspect it will even out over time. My missions are worth 10-40pts. I got in a bracket for Fla as the 45th person and within an hour someone has 3k pts. I have 20 after doing 2 missions. None of the missions are worth much to me. Don't understand how it could be that different. I also got into a new bracket for the main and am in like 15th with only 800 or so points. Suspect that is dragging me down somehow but I would have thought rubber banding would pull me up not push me down. Note that Last of Em in Alaska is worth 110 or so after beating it once. Stopped because I'm afraid to keep on that as it may mess up the other missions.

Liking the story and got an extremely lucky 1star token pull of yellow Spider-Man (also got a blue orig black widow) so I'm not going to complain icon_e_smile.gif. Just confused about how it works. Going to try to take the advice of others on the thread and just enjoy the missions.

EDIT - so I started the missions with my low level account. Somehow I'm getting hundreds of points for missions. I'm around 69th in the main bracket which still seems pretty high. Was lower before but the crazy points climbed me up fast. Now I'm even more confused....

EDIT2 - have not even finished Alaska and have 1200 pts on my low level account. My main has done much more including grinding and is at 800. Really don't like when stuff makes no sense. Could it be based on my overall ranking like the number that is used for match ups?
  • So wanting savage lands guest star as a cover
  • Grinded to 40th place in Alaska, and it's bedtime for bonzo. If I get pushed down to 51-100, so be it.

Surprisingly this has now put me at #1 for my main bracket. And I've only done one mission in Savage Land so far.
  • I haven't played all day. Feel so far behind.

Yup burned up all my health packs doing the hard mission in alaska, and then the easy one once I was out, and it looks like I'm going to fall out of the top ten. Oh well it's only 50 HP
  • hanging onto #1 in alaska, but the last mission with yelena/daken/venom is only worth 110 for me now. 3rd place is 600 points behind me....i might not make it :/
  • also it looks like going #1 in alaska is gonna prevent me from being anywhere near the top for the other events. Oh well, I think this is a good idea to spread the wealth.
