Wait does this confirm selling your roster save 3 is a regrettable idea?0

haha...I will try not to fail you! Seriously...just playing the pvp's as they happen. Not trying to be this high right now.... and well, that just sounded wrong...
Hey, anything you gotta do to win, right?!0 -
Here at Xmen we like to let 5D get all the covers for us and then let us use their accounts when they're sick of the game0

For the moment they're running events with prizes people actually want, so yeah.
We'll see how much people care about their season scores once they eventually revert to running tournaments for characters like Rags and Loki.0 -

ZeiramMR wrote:The rankings in each bracket are based on: your combined score from completed PvP tournaments (Psylocke/Steve Rogers so far) and your current score in both still-running PvPs (currently Black Panther) and SHIELD Training.
Lightning Rounds and the occasional Elite tournaments do not count.
Thanks ZeiramMR, didn't think that lightning rounds were included still just confused about the S4 overall score/ranking.
I do understand that the season overall score is all points combined and there are currently X # of people infront of me right now. It's just the fact that I have ranked considerably higher in every event in S4 than my overall ranking shows
Currently in Season 4 my overall ranking is 842, but every individual event I have ranked considerably higher. In SHIELD I'm rated 543. Currently rated 274 in Starfall (will improve that later today), finished 189 in Panther and Prey, finished 234 in First Avenger and finished 25 in Fresh Cut. I understand than point numbers are different in every event, but how is it possible that my overall is so low?0 -

You have to remember it is total points for all PVP and simulator. You have 5000 people in your season bracket and the scores in each PVP event have had top 10 normally over 900 points. A lot of people are putting up huge numbers. My recommendation for you would be to focus on the progression rewards in the season and then look at the end of season reward as a bonus. If you can hit 10k for the season think of that as winning the season. Everything else is gravy.0 -
locked wrote:Your low finishes in tourneys could have lower points than other people's low placements. For example, you and Joe are in the same season bracket. You place #274 in Starfall with, say, 350 points. Joe finishes #274 in Starfall, too, but his bracket was much stronger and he had to get 500 points. Now you see why he could be higher than you in the season despite you having the same tourney placement? Placement means nothing, it's just the sum of your scores + simulator. Although high placement (top 5, #1) usually means higher season points overall.
Thanks locked, still fairly new to the game so I wasn't aware that there were multiple brackets, that explained my problems with understanding the overall event score. In the case of Starfall I thought my #274 rating was for all players, not just the bracket!wymtime wrote:You have to remember it is total points for all PVP and simulator. Thanks wyntime, been playing for less than a month so this is he first season I've participated in from the beginning. I have, and plan to continue focusing on the progressive rewards. Knowing that my PvP event scores were for a bracket, not overall, explained my overall season score. That said, I was more impressed with my PvP Event scores before I knew this.0 -
@mgood2, if you hang around and become a regular here on the forum you'll see essentially the same question/complaint coming up in PvE event threads as well. People wondering why their top 20 placements in all the subs (which are like 200 people each) leaves them only in the top 100 for their main bracket (which is usually 1000 or sometimes 2000). They fail to do the math that if most of the sub brackets are equivalent then their top 20 exactly correlates to top 100 in 5x as large bracket. Same thing is happening here (as you seem to have caught on to now) except with the added bonus kicker of "gentle nudges" which might allow you to place much higher in your individual PvP brackets while still staying fairly low in your season bracket.0

I think I have good enough idea of of ranking now, to know better than trying to figure it out.
It's interesting that my overall ranking has moved up to 696 (+146) haven't played SHIELD today so that ranking has dropped to 618 (-74) and I've moved up to 81 (+193) with 408 points in Star Fall.
It's also interesting to know that you can also move up (or more likely down) when you are not even playing! My overall ranking has moved up 7 spots during a time I haven't played, or know one else has defeated or lost to me.0 -
Woo-hoo, I just hit the 3K progression reward, which maxes out my Patch at 5/5/3.
Of course, I don't have any ISO to level him because I've spent it all on maxing out Lazy Cap over the last couple of days. So Patch will just have to hang around at level 141 while I earn the 60K ISO I need to max him.0 -
And now I'm apparently bracket buddies with Bugpop, Spoit and locked as well (and I'm pretty sure I saw wymtime earlier)...
I know there must be other brackets out there but I've never seen this many forumites crammed into one spot before0
