I focused on bonusing the few most important ones, getting those to 5* first, then just picked whichever one I had the closest to 5*.

Now it's really fast -- almost everything I pull gives me shards for the bonused support.

blackbird doesn’t do anything super great, it just happened to be highest shard 4; the point of this fav strategy is just to start maximizing my chances of bonus shards per pull. I’m still not relying super heavily on supports in my play - I usually have a Polaris with 3* low level ai equipped, and I don’t really feel like adding tiers to that will meaningfully improve it to a degree I have to chase it, and a 5* power stone on ascended juggernaut for the occasional free column break. I also have RTF on Okoye but I’m not running her as much as I used to.

Something to think about (if you haven't already considered it). Having a R5 Blackbird only helps your chances of bonus shards per pull once every 4 months (the month it is featured). The rest of the months it doesn't help at all. So if you really wanted to maximize your chances of bonus shards you'd figure out which month you have the most 5 star supports in (for example one month I have 4, the other 3 months I have 1) and work on getting that month up to all 5s so that once every 4 months you could open your support tokens hoping for bonus shards on the R5s.

Do people not equip their Supports regardless of whether used or not? I just sort of equip them thematically apart from the handful I switch about for targeted use.

You get extra shards every time you pull one from a token that you already have, it won’t be just from rotation.

Yes, but not all of the supports are in tokens each month. They rotate.

FYI, the support rotation is 3 months, not 4. So a rank 5 gives spillover wildcard shards at that frequency.

Also, I had Blackbird at R5 early. It’s nothing great now, but for me it was pretty good because of the extra ap chance for strongest ap, since it applies to the team’s strongest color.

But the straight-up ap at start ones are much more helpful.

One thing I do with supports I don’t use much is put them on ascended 2s who, who end up being used in ddq pretty often and even a mid support can help speed the match along.

That's neither here nor there to me - I must get <10 basic tokens per month, it's not like this process moves at anything other than continental drift speeds

It does occur to me this morning that I don’t have any Start of Battle free red AP options unlocked yet that can be equipped to may/kang/emma for that turn 1 victory team. Is proxima midnight at 4 or above the best option? Or is swapping kang out for an iron person with arc reactor better?

It further occurs to me that May can equip arc reactor…so disregard I guess lol. What does the percent to create red escalate to as you level that one up?

At Rank 5, Arc Reactor has a 72% chance at 6 AP.

Oh, that’s pretty good. I think it may be worth focusing on that one instead.

Arc reactor is the only +6 for red. Every other color has one (or multiples) except for blue. Tinkerer is the only one for black.

Iron May can use the Arc Reactor, Golden Oldie can not.

I use ascended iron man 40 with arc reactor and it works well for me. Sanctum is on May (80% chance for 6 yellow).

If Arc doesn’t fire, but Sanctum does, you can fire IM40’s yellow turn zero, make a yellow match, and then one of the three recharge tiles will go off next round, giving you enough red AP to fire May red an kill most teams. My May is 550 though.

It’s a good alternative to always bringing two red AP boosts if you’re not in a hurry.

My may is still 3*, so this team has some work to do all the way around I suppose.

From your last few posts I think you’re mixing up the Mays. The turn zero team works with Aunt May (Golden Oldie), the natural 5 star, not Aunt May (Iron May), the natural 3 star.

I use Arc Reactor on RiRi.

Oh maybe so; it does work with 3* May to a point in SCL10 for me though; usually I can do all the “hard” nodes in the main track in 1-2 turns, but the challenge node usually scales past its damage too quickly.

So odd; when I hit this thread specifically from my phone, i get a permissions issue screen, but not from the desktop browser...Anyway, I got my dupe Scarlet Witch to 266, and have a 0/1/1 triplicate started. So really just days from having my first 3a5 character.
