That is nuts. Obviously one can play & never join here, but that is pretty odd to just recently join
He was obviously told about this thread by naz or someone in X-Men and joined just to reply to it, why is that nuts?0 -

Naz, sorted it out for you. no need to thank me. dat wut broz do!
Haha that's funny.. but on a serious note if you need help with your suicide letter I can have my secretary type that up for you.
Not cool. A bunch of lycra's (and others') roster committed suicide in shield training. That's just insensitive0 -

Don't be mad at us be mad at 5DV they feed us All these points.
And with those **** rosters and high scores you become everyone's target. Of course with your 183 IQ i bet you already know this, right?
Yep, in the good old days of 500HP rewards, we were the ones jumping out to early leads and 5DV smartly targeted and sniped us as the highest point targets available. It was not uncommon to get as many as 6-8 attacks after reshielding. Once in a blue moon we'd land a defensive win and it was a nice little 25 pt. windfall here or there (maybe once or twice a tourney) but 100 pts. per shield? That's a ridiculous claim.
I was in Naz's bracket in the last PvP, and saw the shielding/unshielding going on. His score was not rising by 100 points during shielded periods (it rarely rose if ever during these times, just like for every other MPQ player that shield hops). It's ok that you spend a bunch on shields, x-men. We used up a bunch of our earned HP stockpiles during season 1. I respect your decision to do so. But please don't pretend that there's some magic to it. It doesn't take an IQ of Naz's prodigious stature to watch a leaderboard and see how it goes down.
Also, I've spent $100 total on this game since I started late Oct. last year, with perhaps $20 of that on ISO (my biggest MPQ regret, probably) and like Beee I have 12 max 3*s and a max IW to go with them. There's no magic strategy or secret sauce to that either - I played tons of MPQ (I LRs - WHERE ARE YOU I NEED YOU!). I am not better than anyone else in this game for having done so, nor did I pay to get it - I am simply a degenerate ISO farmer.
To my point exactly if they are foolish enough to think we are hacker God's, then I say let them. I don't mind the infamy,0 -

I think we can all answer that one pretty easily lol
Cause umm this was the wrong chat to join for one's first chat & then the quality of replies were intriguing (for better or worse lol)0 -
Can I nominate twysta for thread winner? Seems like he'll run away with it, but gotta get a first vote from somewhere (and not just a lame thumbs up).0

I seriously doubt that. Just look at your roster alone. Lol. If you had been around as long as many of the other players have been, your roster would be much bigger and more leveled. So, keep dreaming.0 -
I am in my own nice little Alliance of one and it has a cool name.
It has it's pros (such as this humorous discussion) but I've never gotten an Alliance cover or any high level bonus anything, which would be nice. I guess that would be a con.0 -

clf02 has provided almost as much hilarity and has also done more to convince me that the X-Men's "DMZ trio" are cheaters than jozier's post and their rosters could0 -

Your point was never proven in this? He said maybe 1 to 2 defensive wins per pvp that's when shield had better rosters than pretty much everyone out there. I've lost to xmen 1 that was sentry tourney to ferraz and hulk went berserk. So he just proved what you said earlier incorrect. Therefore he disproved your they help us jump +100 every shield. Especially since u can't see us in top 10 bc a lot haven't started therefore giving even less pts when we lose to you oh wait i have once in 2 seasons.0 -

This thread has just made me realise how many old schoolers we have lost to this game. The state of it now makes me sad when people believe the game isn't about development of your roster.0

So you admit that you don't get 100 pts. per shield from def wins as you claim above and just shield hop a ton as I personally witnessed? I can't prove you're a cheater, nor am I personally making that claim. Simply debunking your previous statement and the other made about us having to have purchased our rosters with $$$. No judgment, just facts.0 -

Hehe. Call me LIAR then. Polkio LIAR
I am here from day 1. Spent 0.00PL - polish zlotys on this game.
PS: Dude play whatever you want, if you cheat it is your decision, it should be developers which should find cheaters and sandbox them, easy procedure on database
PS2: Oh no... I think I am a LIAR ...I am here from day 2 ...0 -

Silly me, forgot to say I haven't spent a dime on the game. Probably can tell from the roster though0 -

Wow - there's a lot of **** on here. And a lot of people taking the game too seriously....
Like everyone else no-one can prove to the community that they are not cheating, even the upstanding players like wyp, nemek etc (clearly i'm not calling you out for cheating guys quite the opposite )
But I see how all the x-men play and in some cases spend big (usually newer players who want to catch up), and don't suspect any of them of cheating. Plenty of people know how you can score big without a deep roster, or build a roster with deep pockets, so the witch-hunt isn't justified.
Let's face it there are big spenders scattered through the game in most top alliances - it's part of the system and keeps it going. If you're that interested in my spending habits I use about 800hp per PvP on shields on average and get half back in rewards & drops. Happy to pay that for my entertainment, and if I wasn't UK with 5am finishes would spend less. For a bit of context I spend more daily in Starbucks!
I'm far from the first one to say this, but this forum used to be way more friendly0 -

Random data point, I'm on my 193rd day (6 months), and have 8 maxed out 141s having only spent 10 dollars on the game during my first month playing it (for roster slots that I probably didn't need anyways, hah). It turns out that grinding LRs for months will get you the iso necessary to have a ton of maxed out guys. Regarding the topic at hand (sort of), after reading 13 posts bickering about scores and such, I'm just glad that SHIELD isn't trying for top 2 anymore. Random math tidbit that I wanted to post back in some other thread with X-Men flaming us:
Scenario 1
If you want to be in a top 2 alliance, you're expected to put up at least ~1100 every tournament, which isn't comfortably attained unless you shield at least twice (once at ~950, once at 1100). Say you do this optimally and schedule time at the 3/6 hour mark to do this. As a result from doing this, you gain 250 HP + 100 HP from placement + 50HP from the progression - 150 in shield cost on average. = +250HP.
Scenario 2 - Relatively common case if you have the buffed hero and don't care about covers, gets higher as your roster is more developed.
Just grind to 900 and straight up not shield. If you have the buffed character, this would drop you down to ~750, which is probably still good enough for 25 in an average bracket. 100HP from alliances + 100HP from placement + 50 HP in progression = 250HP in profit.
Scenario 3 - Typical case if you want to get top 10 for covers.
Grind up to 900 in the last 3 hours and shield. 100HP from alliances + 100HP from placement + 50 HP in progression - 75HP = 175HP in profit.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that the top 2 alliances only get 150HP more than the top 50, and 75HP at least must be spent on an extra shield that you wouldn't have used otherwise grinding up to the minimum point threshold of ~1000 points. Coupled with the increased burden of actually having to perform in all tournaments and time spent meticulously shield hopping/working your schedule around the final pushes in order to maximize HP gains, I can't see myself ever playing in that way ever again. I think there was a time (last school year), where I had a lot of free time and did so simply because I had nothing else to do, but working 8 hour days at my internship has made me realize that it's pretty crazy to commit yourself to that level and spend a ridiculous amount of extra hours for something like an extra 75HP in prizes every tournament, which amounts to something like under a dollar every 3 days. Likewise, it seems silly to be attacking everyone and challenging others to fight you for the number one spot with this in mind: the top 2 spots just feel really like nothing more than bragging rights for a game that doesn't really take much else besides money and time to do well in.0
