Probably much less often than times his yellow has been a problem. I would prefer to fight more 5/5/3 Sentrys than 3/5/5 ones. It is really rare, when I'm fighting Sentry, that he gets a Supernova off.0 -
I think there is a difference between adressing issues and making the character useless...
You guys addressed issues with C. Mag, those changes to Sentry are as good as making him useless ... You can just delete him0 -

These type of comments always bother me: there is a huge difference between "not top tier" and useless, which almost always someone fails to understand.0 -

My favorite thing about this is thinking about how many people melted down about how useless cMags became after the nerf.

I have a 5/5/3 Sentry and 5/5/3 Hood. It occurred to me last night that I'm Sentry bombing now with a weaker sacrifice tile, 2-turn CDs, and only +3 R/Y +3 G/B, so I have to make two green matches. Basically, I bomb now the way everyone w/ 3/5/5 for both w/ +6boosts will have to in the future. Still works fine most of the time, but green absentia boards are a death knell.
It's really not that bad, or even all that much slower. It's guys like me, where 2 turn CDs are now 3 turns that are gonna get nicked. If only I didn't have 2 black covers that I used to start a 2nd hood rather than respecing when he was just awarded. If only....0 -
I would like to say goodbye to Sentry. You have served my well helping me shield hop and get really strong placements in PVP. As I am close to getting a very usable X-Force you will be retiered soon. Your green has now gotten extremly expensive at 12 green and the fact that your CD tiles will now go to 3. X-force is now close to as fast will regenerate faster, and will not damage your own team so you don't spend the health packs. You have been a good friend, and as we spend these last 2 weeks together I just want you to remember it is not me, it is you. You know do more self damage, and are extremly slow, and I don't really want to spend all the HP on boosts to all. Good by old friend and good luck.0

Wow this is making me really sad.
since season 7 i use SenHood and its def the best way for shield hop.
its quick and makes massive team damage.
well the boosts you always have to use drains your iso-8 but its worth it.
with this ultimate nerf for sentry and the bit smaller nerf for hood i have no suggestions how the game will change now.
i mean its with 3 round CD tiles really hard to take down the enemy team now.
You need more ap to use WR and even if u have enough i dont know how much bombs will be at the end.
intimidation makes it minus 1 but still 2 rounda to go.
so how many will get matched or blasted by cascades?!
have the fear that they wont be enough at the end to blast the hole enemy team away like before.
Final thought that there will be more XForce hood or daken teams now. Maybe some blades dunno0 -
Before the end of Sentry's time in this game, he will have netted me 2 invisible woman covers, 4 nick fury covers and 5 Xforce covers, from either placing first in a PVP or getting 1300 points for the top progression reward.
I now have a 445 IW, I will have either a 544 or 454 Xforce (based on what the Xforce cover at 1300 will be during the next PVP. I suspect it to be a black, since green Xforce is the first place prize this round) and a 333 Nick Fury.
Your sacrifice will not soon be forgotten.

Not surprised by the nerf, we all saw it coming. The question was, was Sentry going to get a Rags nerf or a cMags nerf?
WR seems to got hit hard, but not unusable. Sentry was already a health pack hog, and any teammates you played with him usually needed a health boost too. The biggest disappointment I see is that they didn't reduce the amount of damage the team takes (in Supernova, and WR) along with the opponent damage. It looks like it was actually raised, for both Supernova and WR.
Sentry is NOT a team player.0 -

I think that this nerf i one of the biggest ever.
ok the cmags nerf was also very heavy but he is still a playable char.
while i think that thia sentry nerf will hit all players heavy. Especially those who are f2p.
for those who pay its not such a disappointment. They use any ap boosts cause they got hp everwhere.
for the other it is a huge hit.
Sacrifice deals more damge to sentry and creates a less high att tile.
supa nova was always a bit strange. Massive team damage but sometimes the only choice to end a fight.
BUT the WR nerf is significant.
i mean it costs now 12 and the CD tiles are 3 rounds.
even with intimidation there are 2 rounds to go for your bombs.
i dont think that this will be a one hit insta kill anymore. I think too many bombs will be matched or matched through cascades.
so shield hop will be very aggressiv. Maybe you arent even able to fight 3 battle. The time the fights will take with 3 round CD tiles is higher than before.
i also guess that this will force all SenHood user to switch to XF and hood.
i was gald last season i had my SenHood team maxed and now with this awefull nerf my shield hop goes to zero i think. I got "no" XF so i have to try it with SenHood.
everbody knew a nerf will come but that it will be such a huge one... questionable for me.
Really wonder why the increased the CD tiles AND the WR by it self... not angry but its gross to lvl chars and then they will get a nerf.
and some get such a nerf you dont have a feeling to use him anymore
like cmags....maybe sentry will end up in the back like he did

I thought the cMags nerf was more than acceptable. He is still one of my heavy hitters. His red causes huge damage and good cascades. and his blue does good damage and possible cascades. He is still very playable, just not spammable.
The Rags nerf is terrible. It makes him almost useless. His green is pathetic, and red is now underpowered, and since he has no third power, his only use is a meat tank.
I think Sentry falls in the middle somewhere. Sentry can still pack a punch, but it's less reliable and hurts the team more.0 -
Ive got a question about his Supernova: does the tile destruction also count as separate attacks, each doing increased damage with strike tiles (like the world rupture), or they all count as one 'match' and have the total damage increased? Also, if its the second case (strike tiles count once in the second part), does strike tiles increase the base damage and then the tile destruction damage separately?0
