Character Rebalance Survey for 2024

Onslaught has one job: destroying Team-Up tiles. He does that job well. Please don't change him.

The write in should be Black Bolt. One of the most powerful Marvel characters, needs some updating to hang better with power crept 5s.
I wrote in Green Goblin because I've always wished he were a little better, but I definitely can't argue with Black Bolt getting some love.
I also agree with all the "un-votes" for Onslaught, and the general consensus that this feels like less than what the community challenge implied. I understand why it has to be this way, but not spelling it out in advance creates unnecessary disappointment.

If we do see a revival of special tile teams then his blue is going to rise right back up the power rankings again.

Onslaught only has one use. After that is just dead weight trying to change colors with his blue if there's no better blue power in the team.
Now if he could convert easily tiles to TU, maybe he could destroy everything once more, but still he would be meh and a third wheel in the team for other strong ally capable of finishing battles.
His purple should change, and his blue trying to get cascades or trying to target sap tiles is counterintuitive.1 -
I’m 99% sure this is no different than “vote for the next 4-star”. When we do that we are picking from a list of characters they’ve already decided they are going to release at some point. My guess is that these four 5*s are already on a list to be rebalanced. So you can delay Onslaught’s rework but I’m sure it’s coming eventually along with Havok, Sinister and the likely landslide winner Dr Strange.

Based on this thread, I'm going to assume God Emperor Doom will continue to rule absolutely nothing.

I wrote in Cable.
Voted for the Doc coz have been saying he needs it so yeah.

And funny enough I used Onslaught today with Prof X and he was fine.

I wouldn't say no to Black Bolt - he doesn't need a lot just a number bump. His Green should be devastating or AP for the aoe reduced.

Mine is only 500 or something, but his black hits very hard and the steal/heal passive is pretty effective at feeding his powers and keeping him topped up. The yellow power is also a special class of reshuffle that can cause cascades.
I almost always use him during his boost week and I don't think he's bad at all -- certainly not compared to the dregs.

Doom is above the middle but below the top for me. It’s not that he is aggressively bad, I think we just wanted that character to be actually good.

They keep redoing guys in the middle, and that's fine, but it doesn't really make sense to me, just thinking about the game.

I guess when you have "god" in your name people expect literal miracles. Doom should probably be the top villain we have but neither version really hits the spot although neither are exactly bad either.

Perhaps I notice he needs help to really be competitive because I do use him... And he's not on the level of the meta... Or where I'd like him to be. I'd like to use him more but can't justify it.
But I don't really think about the dregs because... They're just on my roster for when they're essential. Not a comic favorite, not good enough in game, just there.
Yes, there are worse characters... But are they characters I care about?
I'd support a Blackbolt buff, I liked the character once upon a time...I really don't care about Onslaught... But he's also fine as is, in my opinion.
Strange needs help, but he's also on the list... Like many others in this thread... So he's got acknowledgement the devs know he needs a rework.
Doom isn't on the list.
Yes, I use him. Doesn't mean I can't put his name out there hoping he's in the next list. You're welcome to suggest others you think are more in need of help.
I might even agree with some of your suggestions needing help... But, at the moment, Doom seemed a glaring omission from the voting... For me.
If it's a faux pas to talk about him because he's not terrible enough...
... Someone in the thread mentioned 3* Punisher... So I'll just go with him.

I like his blue - it feels like someone took one of those overly situational powers that only comes into play if you're already behind the game (damage if the enemy has managed to get special tiles out) and thought about how to make it useful at any time.

I figured 5* Captain Marvel wasn’t on the list because she’d be getting rebalanced this week for the new movie, but the obviously didn’t happen. I wonder if she’s on the radar
