I am more of the belief they turned the difficulty way down for this challenge. It would look bad if yet another community challenge fail especially during 10th anniversary. 4days in and another 20days to go and already over 50% complete.

It also definitely helps that the progress is tied to quests visible in the game (the red dot) and that those actions have direct personal rewards. People unaware of the community challenge will still be doing the quests and unknowingly helping the community progression. Rewards of 10k to 50k iso are substantial.

I'm okay with that lol, an easy challenge for 10th anniversary. Most of them you can get just by doing the pve/pvp you were going to do anyway, just need to switch up your teams a little for airborne.

Today's challenges. I noticed the ISO reward is 100 times whatever the amount of the challenge you need to complete is:

Remove 20 Black tiles. - 2000 ISO
Remove 100 tiles. - 10000 ISO
Make 45 Black matches. - 4500 ISO
Remove 100 Black tiles. - 10000 ISO
Down an enemy 56 times. - 5600 ISO
Remove 260 Purple tiles. - 26000 ISO

I was trying to figure out how the community was 61.6719% towards the goal of 1,000,000 Quandary points (616,719) if we only have 553.6k Quandary points (553,600):

Then I realized that the 553.6k number was "events", not points - some events are worth two points instead of one, of course:

1-Pointers + 2-Pointers = 616,719
X + 2 * (553,600 - X) = 616,719
X + 1,107,000 - 2X = 616,719
X = 490,000

So roughly 490k / 553.6k (88.5%) of the events were 1-Pointers while the remaining 64k (11.5%) were 2-Pointers. Even though 33.3% of the daily Quandaries are 2-pointers (5 & 6 of 6.)

Given how tedious they become, I'm not sure whether 11.5% is about what I expected or is surprising - and surprisingly low, or surprisingly high?

Anyway, got bored, did math, shared with you lot. My general read of the room is that half of you will be interested and the other half will be mildly infuriated.

Assumptions

Most casual players will only (if at all) complete event 1 or possibly 2 naturally on days that they play.
A majority of those that complete 3 will also complete 4 since they probably have reasonable rosters and/or are in need of the ISO.
Completing the final event is both more difficult and reliant on completing the first 5, so I'd imagine that's the one that drops off more (so about 2 or 3%) with event 5 at roughly 9%.
Only those desperate for ISO or that like to complete everything will attempt to finish all 6 daily.

So maybe of the Quests:

1 - 40%
2 - 25%
3 - 12.5%
4 - 11%
5 - 9%
6 - 2.5%

Possibly more in 1 and less on 2. 3/4 seem high but they have to be higher than 5.

I saw a comment on reddit that you can still complete the quests from previous days after they disappear. One of my alliance said the same. If that is the case then there could be a lot of people completing those more difficult challenges several days after they were originally released.

You definitely can. I've done it multiple times. But other than the individual reward we don't know if it counts toward the community challenge.

Ha you know what? I didn’t even notice that, but you’re right. I went back in my notes and looked and that’s the only one that was 1,000 times instead of 100 times. It must have been a mistake (shocking, I know, lol), but a good mistake for us!

Awful stuff. Won't somebody think of the children? The awful iso starved children who must be fed with 1000x things so they don't have to go fight against Quandary with an empty belly. Make it so!
