    Vulture will replace Gwen, so it's not entirely irrelevant, but it mostly came about through drift.

    I'd definitely say that Vulture will be considerably better than Gwen, so Venomsaurus/Omega Red/Vulture will be a lot better than Gwen/Venomsaurus/Omega Red. We'll have to see how good whomever follows Vulture is - it may cause a great unhoarding...

    So what is the take on how good/useful Vulture actually is?

    If you had a decent hoard would Rex/Omega Red/Vulture be worth pulling for (or Red/Vulture/next 5). I share the view that Gwenom isn’t the greatest - her ceasing to tank with ap gain makes her very difficult to use at the 5 tier.

    I don't really think rex brings anything to the table other than being a mildly strong/generic 5*. One of those that when boosted and required is like "Oh hey that's not bad." I want omega red not just because I think he's pretty damn good, but because I love OR heh. So I'm definitely unhoarding for him, but waiting to see who the 5* after vulture is.

    OR is the real deal. He is better (for me) than iHulk in a pick 2 with Okoye. I am going to try to get as many covers as possible for him. Vulture looks really annoying to face, but not sure if he would ever be a 2nd choice in PVP. Mine is only 3/3/3 so not sure how he is leveled up. And, as others have mentioned, VRex is "meh".

    If she's not tanking she's not having her AP drained by Chasm...

    Mine is one cover away from finished and I think he's pretty solid. He does some very interesting things for AP theft and gain, and has some good damage options. He'll also be a pain in the tinykitty to face in a prolonged fight since he'll go airborne with frequency.

    I think of him about the same as Omega Red - solidly in the "use when boosted" category but probably not otherwise unless someone who is boosted has some absolutely magnificent synergy with them.

    By contrast, Venomsaurus is in the category of "use when boosted but only if there aren't better options" and Gwenom is the same but even lower, I think.

    Vulture can fit into any team and that makes a difference imo. For 7 blue he gains a lot AP and gets rid off an annoying foe for some turns, who doesn't like that?
    Omega is a destructive beast and a must.
    And dinodud is just the excuse in order to not have to wait another month and half, still it could change depending on the next 5* altought it would be the last chance for omega.

    Hmm, I'm not sure I'd call Omega Red a "destructive beast," I don't foresee using him when he's not boosted (though maybe when Okoye is boosted, since she boosts his damage through the stratosphere.) That being said when he is boosted you'll almost find a way to use him, unless Kitty or MThor is boosted the same week. He gets very unreliable with characters who destroy his CD regularly.

    Hmm, add SWitch to the list of "very good against OR." Her Damage Reduction/Revenge damage is much more effective against AoEs. But still, that's only a few of the best characters in the game who are great counters to him -- OR is a pretty well-built character IMHO.

    Omega will be a staple in PVE, unboosted.
    That puts him into S-Tier for me.
    PVP, eh. We'll see if/when his boost ever ends.

    IMHO, OmegaRed is WAY better than "only use when boosted". As bowgentle mentions, he will definitely be a staple in PVE and I think he is a much better partner for Okoye than iHulk in PVP.

    I think his status as a staple in PvP or PvE very much depends on what else you've got, and what else is boosted that week. He's not a Chasm or Okoye.

    We also need to see what Omega Red looks like when not boosted -- he's benefiting quite a bit from a longer-than-normal boost.

    Unless you're rocking 550 Bill Apoc Polaris, he SHOULD be faster with Gorrkoye than iHulk - Assuming a 500+ Okoye.
    I'm not beating the really crazy PVE people, but it's keeping the Shang clown rosters at bay.

    Of course if you're using a turn 0 kill team, this won't move the needle for you.
