I agree with some other posters. Onslaught was leveled too high to really get a feel of his powers. One thing is certain though, he's not a good fit for Okoye.

I fired his purple after a few rounds but the AI never matched the traps so I was invisible match damaging away Juggernaut (ha now you know how that feels!) Then I hit a match 4 and Jean Grey was dead. So it was a bit brief but I appreciate being able to take him for a spin.

Playing on a tablet its posible to read most of the balloons altough its on the limits of its zoom. I hope next time could have more resolution and if it can be clickable for to watch them as character covers, the better.

Anyone else feel like every board suffers from a lack of TU tiles? It also seems like AI prioritizes TU matches over useful AP. Could be confirmation bias, but I think I had one board in the event so far (with a few extra node plays) that seemed to have a decent amount of TU, which the AI then prioritized.

Must say I liked day 3 of this event. Onslaught was decently scaled, and I could really play around a bit. If paired with 5* Prof X, I foresee a lot of cascades. So pairing with 4* Prof was a good choice here.

Enjoyed day 3 as well. They can do the introducing event for a lot of characters, even some already released ones.

I used my 5 star prof X for day 3 this morning. Got a match 4 right away that cascaded into more.  The match was over on turn one.

If you want to win quick, that's the way to go. But I wanted to see some more action from Onslaught so I went for 4* Prof. After all this is a showcase for the new 5*.

Not commenting on the levels, rewards, mechanics, etc. as the event isn’t done yet.

That said, I feel like now is the the time to introduce this as an ongoing event. Onslaught is known to 90’s comics fans and as a Marvel vs. Capcom boss, but has never been in a movie or the 90s X-men cartoon.

My guess is since the game has been so diluted and we have several versions of both A and B-list characters, that many of characters in the pipeline will likely be unknowns to a large amount of players. Just look at the last survey where they polled us on new characters.  I didn’t recognize quite a few of them. So the “Introducing...” series seems timely given where the game is at.

This last wave node showcased how silly this game can be sometimes. Level 100 opposition, hah. Then they proceed to cascade wildly, deny my colors, stun me, go invisible and what not. One moment I thought I'd lose, but the board settled and I could make some match 4 and cast blue and purple and win with under half health.

Hmm, well it could just have been luck but I got a lot of match 4 and 5 opportunities in this latest battle. Like 10 which seems way above average. Makes me wonder if as suspected with Prof $ whether Onslaught gets more than his fair share. Suffice it to say that I destroyed the whole lot without breaking sweat and Onslaught was invisible for 2 waves.

I like the event so far. Short, additional rewards and it doesn't exclude anyone from playing the nodes (unlike when Star-Lord was introduced). Having said that.. there's still one more node to go.
I remember that pay to play node in HAT.  That’s when I knew the game had Really Transitioned.

There was one guy (can't remember the name) who really kicked off about it, even though the prize was iso-8 rather than a cover or anything.

I like the event- I don't think awards are too small compared to how easy the nodes are- I have one gripe; the text bubble on the background are too small and hard to read   but then again I'm old (took a screen shot and enlarged them)

    You mean this thread? https://forums.d3go.com/discussion/63939/whats-up-with-the-pay-to-play-node-in-star-lord-event/

To be fair, I don't think Phumade was entirely wrong. The developers were testing the waters there with iso. Since then we've had a few more examples of how things progress from that small change. 5* essential nodes were introduced and the old SHIELD Training also required people to spend a lot of resources to get the LT (not necessarily money, because some hoarders could use their HPs if they wanted to). ProfX being essential immediately the next event after he was introduced.

I'm not going to comment any further until I see what happens tomorrow, but it's going to be interesting to see what is required to win those additional shards.
I wasn't commenting on right or wrong, just reminiscing.

I actually lost this the first time . Without a strike tile out by the time I got to the last wave , SWitch immediately stun locked me firing a 5 turn stun every 5 or 6 turns . Then Cyke just red and black me to death . Same thing happened 2nd time but I had 1 strike tile surviving so I won while I was stunned .

This was one of the first matches I can remember winning while my only character was stunned. I couldn't slow the witch down, and she was crushing me with reality left and right. I had one beefy attack tile out, and it pretty much did most of the work for me.

Fourth day is a little tough in the sense that there are stunners and invisibility. I had almost the exact same experience as qandols: Getting stunned by Thing, Sue went Invisible, throwing her Force Shield or Force Bubbles.  In the end, Onslaught emerge victorious. This experience reminds me of the scene where Thanos was fighting against the Avengers in Infinity War. He was outnumbered in the beginning and in the end, he emerged victorious.

As for the 5th day node, we had 5* loaner OML, Prof X and Phoenix. All of them are at level 300. I played twice and there are a lot of match-4 happening in both rounds. I don't know if this is a sign, you know, like fighting against Prof Match-4.
