The 3rd, 4th, and 5th Anniversaries included HP sales....... None this year. Not feeling the love.
”Thanks for playing our game every day for YEARS! Here is a heroic token.”Ummmm, thanks... I guess. To be frank, no, they are not generous enough.
Hey! Welcome to the party guys, thanks for sticking with us for all these years, here is your slice of wonder bread!
It costs absolutely nothing to make this “celebration” something to be excited about.Edit: To be completely honest, I’d be happy if the game did cost money, VIP was required, and the return on investment for players who pay was a bit more worthwhile.
They could have a separate version sponsored by their generosity and see how far that goes.
I do agree that anniversary should be more generous than normal times. Like maybe a free item or an increase in rewards while playing. Or maybe a 100 item vault with 16 4*'s instead of the usual 4 from an 80 item vault that stays open longer with more events granting tokens to it so you have higher chances of getting the more valuable prizes from it.
As is, I like the game as well. Just a bit tired of the same stingy celebrations is all.The most generous thing I remember is Growth Industry, and I doubt we will ever see something like that again.0 -

Also, getting 5's directly from completing the first run of Civil War was quite nice....... I didn't get any since my alliance wasn't very good, but that idea is nice. And probably worth revisiting.2 -
I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that Lightning Rounds have double iso properly set on them this time round. It seems like the last few times it was due to be turned on somebody has forgotten to flick the right switch (or feed the right set of hamsters).0

Not to mention they won’t be “limited” aka mostly useless characters.I know you are trying to make a point about generosity, but it just doesn’t compute here...sorry.
This is a marketing opportunity and not even a particularly good one.2 -

Congrats to the D3 team! For the 1st time in 3 or 4 years double Iso has been correctly turned on for the LR events!!!! This is a promising start to anniversary season, and a big surprise to how this is usually handled!!
Keep up with the surprises!1 -

stupid quote box formatting!
it was all looking so promising and then they neglected to fully update the progression rewards in the LRs. Close, but no cigar.0 -
Nice infographic, I really liked it. Hope we all get a very good celebration!0

Unless they reveal something amazing in the next week this will probably be the first anniversary I don't spend any money.

I guess if the majority of players are happy with another cash grab “celebration” things will stay the same and we will continue to receive that.I mean, we get free pastries at our weekly meetings at work. I’d value that higher than the 2* cover they gave out for the annual event here. Obviously, although it would cost them nothing to just give something cool like an LL or Fan favorite token, it must be their prerogative not to.
I play a certain console game, don’t even pay a monthly fee, still get free stuff more than once a year from them. They call it gift marketing. Potential lifetime sales being worth more than what you “gift”. Maybe being in sales I have a different outlook on these choices than others. I’ll admit though, I have no idea about their business model. Perhaps they can’t afford to give a single purple token out one time a year.7 -

But sure, just looking for a handout chief.Similarly though, I just don’t want contribute to the bump in sales they are going to see from this anniversary.
Maybe they are being stealthy and going to surprise us with something fun (like a good feeder), if so I’ll eat my words. Not holding my breath though.1 -

Edit: And the best in class stuff annoys me to see the Taskmaster icons all over it and the final reward be yet another D. Dino cover.
