Incorrect. The Blue is the SOLE problem with Spidey. Because a player with Spidey's blue can defeat a team of 230s with 3 level 15 characters (an exaggeration, perhaps, but a small one). The devs don't want any single character to trivialize content, and Spidey does that currently.0 -
It's not a problem to kill spiderman in pvp, my issue is the person I attack has no fear of returning fire knowing he will walk away with points and 100% health. Literally if you can stun lock my dps, what do you have to fear retaliating? A good patch + spidey stun lock = gg0

I've never noticed the AI using Spiderman's stun effectively, except by sheer accident. And most people haven't levelled their spidey because he's just a walking stun machine (God knows that's all I use my Spidey for... he's about level 40 and 2/4/1 which is just enough to be effective at stunning while leaving me rueing that missing 5th blue cover every time I'm one stun short of winning against a bunch of level 230s).0

Spidey's blue needs an adjustment. Though I think he's going to be a little trickier to balance an update then the other characters that have received recent downgrades since he has no offensive damage dealing abilities and blue is arguable his main offensive contribution.0

In my last pvp match, there were about 3 web tiles created by the AI Spidy.
When I cast my web on the AI, it was stunned for 1 turn only instead of 4 (previously it will take into account the number of web tiles on the board, regardless who cast them)
Is anyone encountering this as well?0 -
Happened to me once or twice a week or so back. Stunlocked 3 characters in a row but instead of increasing, each were only stunned once. Has not crept up again and I hope it's not a preview of what's to come.0

There were probably no available tiles to attach a web so you got the stun for what was already on the board.0

Perhaps a simple "nerf" to Spider-Man is to keep him exactly as is, however, have the webs target Blue tiles. Assuming no boosts to begin with, (and boosts would only delay the inevitable), one would NOT be able to keep chaining ATU - as you fuel on blue, webs are destroyed, reducing the number of turns stunned. Unless you had a cascade of blue off the get go, the likelihood of having all three opponents stunned at the same time is minimal
The kicker? The healing would be similarly capped (ie do you leave the webtile out there to boost healing, or do you match it to fuel ATU?)
Choice to stun becomes strategic, not rote.
Do a thought experiment, or scratch it out pen/paper.
Note - I do have a 5 blue spiderman and use him unrelentingly - and yeah, it is a little unbalanced. fun, but unbalanced.

That's a cool proposal. Even though he has a 2AP ability, he has to sort of charge it up. I think they'll still go with the 5AP minimum, but that's would be interesting twist.0

When spiderman is on defense the high purple counts pretty much. I was screwed over more than once, getting just unable to hurt the team at all, and by the time could summon some strike tiles my team was step from grave.
For prologue healing the max yellow is defnitely a big gain.0 -
Just got perma stunlocked with Spidey in the DD tourney... he was the last one standing and he kept stunlocking my team and healing himself. ****!!!??? Must nerf him! lol0

My hunch is that his purple is going to be untouched. It's also probably going to be his best feature (once they nerf him).
If they don't screw up his stun, you can still go 3/5/5 with him.0 -
So I'm currently sitting at 4/3/4 (Damn that stupid yellow misclick), level 57. I've got one of each cover sitting after the most recent Wolv tourney, but I'm not really sure how to use them. I'm inclined to just say screw it and go 4/4/5 with what I have instead of waiting for the 5th blue just because I have a feeling that by the time I get that last blue, All Tied Up will be nerfed pretty hard. I get the impression that his yellow will likely be changed to heal more based on covers with a set 12 AP cost and purple will probably be relatively unchanged, making 4/4/5 potentially viable post nerf depending on how badly they hit blue. Or do I wait for that blue cover to go 4/5/4 and sell the pink cover?
Thoughts?
Edit: Plus there's the ability to potentially respec down the line that makes me think I might be ok just going 4/4/5 for now.0 -
Hi devs.
My Spidey is sitting at 3/3/3. I have a yellow cover expiring in 29 hours, and a purple and another yellow expiring 77 hours after that. You've given out lots of Spidey covers in the past week, so I am sure there are other forumgoers in the same boat, though the colors and timing may vary. It's been two long weeks since you funbalanced Thor and Wolverine. In theory, you have X Force, M Hawkeye, and C Mags to funbalance before Spidey, but I'm guessing there are way fewer of those covers floating around.
So.
Will you please funbalance Spidey within the next 29, or, at worst, 106 hours? Thanks.

If they follow suit with Spidey like they did with Wolvy/Thor, it might be in your best interest to build a second one (regardless) and sell it for more of a profit.0
