Did you clear all those mission up until they give 1 on EVERY refresh? IE - every 12 hours? ;-P
  • The rubberband is there, but is weak.

The rubberband is strong enough to catch up on one scoring cycle at a time. As this is currently the third scoring cycle of the sub, one full clear is insufficient to regain all of the missed points. If you clear the final scoring cycle of the sub when points refresh, that should be sufficient to place you close to the top of the leaderboard for the sub.
  • I'm quitting the game. The reason I'm posting it here is, if you have decent score in this event and want in a great top 100 alliance, check out Extraordinary. If said terms are met, clear it with Ironman97 and I'm willing to give up my spot before this ends. Otherwise I'll do what scores I can before heading out. They deserve it. Send an application to our alliance chat to be sure

I don't understand this event. It seems like some people have normal rubberbanding, but I don't. In hell's kitchen, I am 3000+ points behind the leader. I started when it opened and only missed 1 refresh, which with these point values should only be 1k max. it is the same idea in the other sub, but to a lesser extent as those point values are even lower. I know rubberbanding is barely noticeable, but I shouldn't be this far behind from 1 missed refresh. Am I missing something?

There's no rubberbanding unless they suddenly switched something. I've had missions stay the same value at the exact moment the event started (but I didn't enter) compared to 10 hours later. The first round started with rubberbanding but not the last 2.
  • after Prodigal Sun events end
should i dump all the 2stars
    for new 3stars
    since my rooster is maxed

how likely is it for me to need this team again

I'm tempted to say go ahead because I'd be interest to see what happens but I'll actually be helpful instead.

Don't ditch 2*s unless you ABSOLUTELY have to for roster space - especially if you've already dumped ISO into them. Chances are actually pretty good that somewhere down the line you'll suddenly find you need them for a particular event with a restricted roster.

The rubberband is there, but it is really weak. Like 1.1 or 1.2x normal points. You can regain some of the points missed on previous refreshes, but players are grinding these nodes hard **still**. The rubberband is insufficient to overcome players who are clearing pins 4/5 or 5/5 times on every pin.

For the postmortem for this event, I would assert that the lack of rubberbanding is causing players to grind more because they are not reaching high placements easily. Which in turn, is causing the leaders (who are hard old-school grinding every refresh) to be uncatchable outside of sustained similar performances. Demiurge likely tweaked the rubberband to not require more play to force scaling higher to prevent the Daken from being achieved. Instead, the lack of an easy rubberband to the top for the leaderboards for the event has caused many players to play harder than normal, which is actually resulting in the final progression reward being achieved rather easily as players will start reaching 45k on this refresh and with 2 full rounds still left to play in the event.

If it's just 1.1X then it might as well not be there. Remember that in its original incarnation it was not unusual to see values at 10X of the original value very quickly. I think there's something weird with missions not giving the points they report to have, but I don't see any rubberbanding on the reported points. Well, the easiest way is to check is just check the data. I got Daken vs Black Widow at 155 points for full stacks (I didn't even touch this mission yet since the beginning due to the 2 Sniper sidekicks). I have 3100 points in the Washington DC sub bracket and #35 in my sub bracket. This is also the value Sumilea reported as the base value for the node. I think it's just these mission have such weird values that you forget the node you thought that was 73 points was actually 77, and maybe there's some bug that causes it to give 82 points on top of that.
  • Weird, I went to check my standings, had the connection time out on the leaderboard, then my score dropped about 200 points (which is about what the last time I looked at the leaderboard). Really hope my points aren't just vanishing into the ether if the servers are on the fritz (again). I'm kinda fearing playing right now since it might not count correctly until it resyncs. Guess this is a head's up for anyone else playing right now.

My missions are all gone and I sure hope they get their servers fixed in time for the last 2 hours of the subs.
I have no idea what it is about Heavy Metal, but apparently it messes up their servers really well.

With a holiday weekend in the US, we probably have to wait for the problems to sort themselves out, though.
  • played like 6-7 missions before realizing the score wasn't updating :S the points for the nodes are still dropping though, hopefully I get those points still.
  • Lol just sit here and wonder if the game will come back up

Me too. Maybe 10 missions. I should still get these points later?

edit: restarted the game and my points were there! Then i looked the leaderboards and they are gone again...

That doesn't seem too surprising since I have yet to be able to see what the leaderboard is since the Heavy Metal event ended.

Happy i did not have this issue, just the one in pve. My points are back now. Will give the servers a break, coming back tomorrow.

Yes after Heavy metal the leader boards been iffy at best. The points in the bars are still going up so with luck anyone whats played anything recently will still get them. It seems the alliance one is working in the subs are people seeing their scores increase on that one?

Also Inhu seems to be running away with the highest score was just under 50K. I just 1400 to go for Daken which is 7 wins in Hell's Kitchen after my last refresh kicks in. After that time to put the old feet up and relax for the final 2.5 days

Still no event available for me.
I wonder what this is going to mean for this event? Are they going to extend the subs? The Main? None? +50% the reward tiers again?

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.
    Actually, I'm also mad.

Debating whether or not I should wake up early tomorrow for the potential end of the subs...
