Ok, can someone explain this ridiculous event for me?!? I joined both subs around 14:30 -14 hours left. (around 7pm my time) Did one of each node plus maybe 2 times of each high point node. then left it till now (3am) because I am not setting up an alarm for 8 am to do all these an hour before the end. How in the hell do these guys have so many more points than me?!?! my highest point missions are only ~120 points each. If the refresh is 12 hours how does this guy have 3000 points? I joined at 14 hours so there is no way he could have gotten an extra refresh in right? I am only 29th in main after making all my pushes before the subs end and I have a feeling when I wake up I will be in even worse shape. It makes no sense. Can someone explain this to me? I recognize a lot of names at the top here, what did you guys do to get so many points? I am going to miss out on sentry because of this ****.

I think they took a **** on rubber banding, Most of those are people who grinded points every point reset

Uff. Read the last 5 or so pages. The people before you grinded, probably for two refreshes. If you want to catch up, put in the same amount of work and grind those nodes down. Man, I'm so tired of people complaining about not getting the same rewards as people who put in more work. More play = higher totals points. It's working as it should, ffs.

Being in place 29 of 1000 after starting later than others is pretty damn good. If you were in 290, I could maybe understand the complaining, but 29? give me a break. They completely spoiled players with that rubber banding **** and I really hope they don't listen to the whining now.

You remember the "slight nudge" that pushes you into death brackets? It also pushes you into PVE brackets that are open for longer time. Rubber banding usually takes care of this, but guess what there is next to none in this subs.

I think that is your punishment for hitting me in yesterday in the fresh cut tourney during my push

I believe the complaint is not so much about how people who grind more are winning but that rubberbanding rules keep changing with each sub within one pve event. If you couple grind every refresh with level 400 scaling, this is a recipe for disaster for many people.

I'm in your Wakanda sub, which was a new bracket at -18hrs. Chimaera only did one refresh too AFAIK. Those are the scores for one refresh if you grind everything to a nub. There seems to be no rubberbanding or more likely some new convoluted rubberbanding rules. The new nodes that opened up seems to have different point values for different people. Mine is 223/223/87 right now

262 for me now, so there's minimal rubberbanding now.
Actually I don't think that they changed rubberbanding for these subs - it still seems to kick in once you're about 3,5K behind.
It's just that with so little points on the board, it's hard to reach that point.

There is some sort of rubberbanding at work, but the points are so low it makes very little difference. I've confirmed that some of the new nodes had different starting values for an alliance mates and me, but we're talking a difference of ~20 points for a 250 point node.

I think that starting page will open up, like suggested earlier, and pts be rubber-banded like last pve. These two subs give a chance for the grinders to make some ground and win some prizes. If so it's a decent compromise...if not the devs have tinyshittyed up again

There seems to be some discrepency between the points claimed by a mission and what you actually get, but the reported points show no rubberbanding and the actual points sure aren't meaningfully more than what the claimed points are.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Like a node showing 149 points but getting 152 after finishing it. Nothing significant but still different.

Let's just go with the more logical, albeit premature answer. The Devs have screwed up again. That's the only thing they are good at doing...sure a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. But comparing the Devs to squirrels is a disservice to blind squirrels.

I am not going to bet the farm on them doing that and then miss out on the covers. So I am going to stay near the top in my main. I always thought that to allow people to rubber band in from nowhere to get the top rewards was always wrong even if I did it myself to reduce the amount of play time.

I'm trying to stay in top 50 in main and that appears to be most easily accomplished by staying in top 50 in the subs, so that's what I'm doing. Guess I could grind a bit more, but, eh, I'm already worried about scaling. If they allow or encourage grinding, they need to reduce scaling, seriously.

I also really want the purple Daken at 45k, it's always been out of my reach before. Just hit 30k earlier, leaders in my bracket are at 36k. With 4 days left, if should be doable, right?

Depends what happens in the rest of the event. Points could be like the first sub where 15K was scored and then everyone will get one.

People complained that the last subs had low points but I am going to come out with nearly 10K from them combined and with my total just under 35K would nearly put me over the top for Daken if the next ones are similar. So I would assume your safe to get the cover unless the scoring gets MUCH lower
