And I never said it was the "one" time of year players shouldn't play. I'm acknowledging the very real reality that a large number of people may have other obligations that would detract from new content being added to the game.But that's not the point. The point is that no matter how you split it, it IS a huge holiday. And it's on a Tuesday. And almost every release event that's ever happened in this game has started on a Thursday. And if they started it on the 20th OR the 27th, they could run the event and completely miss the holiday in the first place. Hell, the 27th would even let a release event conclude before New Year's, another largely recognized holiday (though arguably not as celebrated outside the countdown itself).The fact of the matter is that they're going out of their way to change their normal release schedule to MAKE it a problem, where sticking to the normal Thursdays would avoid it entirely.And there's the problem of it being a Limited release. That's part of the problem, and you can't just ignore that because you want to argue with me over whether or not Christmas is significant.

They basically feed on knowing that there are people who play this game that must have all the characters rostered so try to make it as inconvenient to everyone as they possibly can. You just get used to it though.

It's too easy to get confused or upset when we try and logic out patterns of dev thinking. It seems we as players put more thought into the timing and usefulness of the game then the devs do. But that's probably just confirmation bias.
