Just right. I want to do more with my weekends that just play this game!

I did not like the extra cards. Are they interesting cards? Yes! But why The heck did I bother carefully crafting my decks if random cards get thrown in and mess up my plans?

I would’ve liked the option to use them in my builds but auto including them meant I was drawing cards I didn’t want to draw.
I was okay with it when you could just exile (discard) the card from your hand if you didn't need it, but it got really annoying with Teferi's "You take 3 damage and your supports lose 1 shield for every card you discard."

I'm still wondering if that's a game glitch Octagon needs to fix :/
I don't think that's a glitch (since manual discard is in fact exiling something).

I really wish that's what Solemnity did as a cycling hate card, since it would actually be useful to play (and it would make the Mindscensor pretty powerful, surprisingly)
Yeah I would be fine if that if it was a (preferably 2-shield) rare support, just not a fan of it as in indestructible one that's in-play on game start

    It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

Good, but I'd like an extra pie of battles.

It was quick and easy for me, very little turbulence as I beat the levels (except I haven't packed a single saga yet so I couldn't complete that objective).

For future reference, I was able to complete that objective despite also not having opened any sagas, by running a Nicol Bolas deck that used Mastermind's Acquisition, Etali and Unesh to fish for sagas from his deck to put into play. Slows the battle down a lot to fish for them (he only runs 1 saga) but it made it kind of entertaining and I was able to complete the objective. Make sure to bring some healing though, you'll end up stealing a lot of garbage from his deck that you then need to exile...
That actually sounds like a ton of fun.  I love the Mr. Steal Yo Deck variants that are possible now, its a really fun mechanic to play around with.

that sounds like a fun deck!  I don't have Etali or I'd have run him too for sagas...eh who am I kidding he'd be in all my red decks lol.

I've only packed the green and white legendary dino, followed by a green dino dupe and 3 white dino dupes (1 of them from a single card free booster, imagine that!)

I absolutely appreciated this event. It was new, so it was interesting right from the start after a certain strategy had been taken from us, the one that had made it possible to win in a low number of turns and (therefore) also with a low amount of damage taken. But there were only two nodes, so we didn't need to waste an awful lot of our free time. :)

Oh yeah, Etali is always in consideration for any red deck that isn't super tribal.  And apparently they fixed the bug, so he's even better.

Yeah, that's a cool picture to use for your profile image indeed.

That Teferi support only really annoys me because it hits Planeswalker ability supports, and you can't protect them with extra targets without losing out on the objectives. Well, not consistently anyway. Kinjalli's Sunwing, some healing, and using the Weatherlight to get out my sagas made it easier than some of the other nodes for me. Admittedly Gaea's Revenge made it go much quicker than otherwise.

Keeping up didn't feel like a chore like the 5 node nightmares, have a job that goes for a day on the weekend, and the objectives didn't seem like a punishment. Each battle had a nice tribal feel to it without the need for endless rules that you had to keep track of (and ultimately abandon for whatever actually works, ruining the tribal concept) to make a deck. If only five extra nodes weren't tacked onto it near the end...

It seems to me that PVEs are hard to get right, since they don't have the (albeit poorly implemented) Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum bracketing, and therefore all the nodes have to be somewhat achievable for all levels.
The good thing about this event, though, is that rather than be both super-easy for experienced players (and therefore boring) AND time intensive (like BOFT and most previous 3-5 node PVEs), it's just the former. That way, I can get the prizes, not let my coalition down, and still have somewhat of a life outside of MTGPQ.

Personally, I would like it if they got rid of the "can't progress if you don't beat the previous node" mechanic, make the third encounters interesting and difficult, and make progression beatable if you play all charges on nodes 1 and 2.

Kudos for getting rid of the silly "boss" mechanic though!

I did it both on my Platinum main and my (just) Silver alt and it was fun on both and the strategies from each were different but increased my understanding and helped the next fight on each, it worked really well at both levels.

that's a sweet new pic!!  I've always been a fan of Karn because he created one my favorite mtg worlds (Mirrodin), but then he let it die, which was lame, still a bit salty about that. lol

It wasn't totally his fault Mirrodin died (ok, maybe it is, but it certainly wasn't intentional).  And its still there!  Just....different

Weatherlight made it too easy to get that Mythic. Nobody complained but me. I'm a bit of an oddball.

Reminds me of the multi door portal scene in Dr. Strange. That said. Pretty slick. Mine is the new Icy Manipulator... A future MP I hope that gets made.

that's about the most politically-correct version of the demise of Mirrodin that I've ever heard :D

This event should not be held over the weekend. It doesn't have enough content to warrant taking up the weekend spot.

It's fewer nodes makes it an excellent midweek event that wouldn't interfere with day-to-day activities such as work, school, sleep, etc.
