Thanks. My question was semi sarcastic, saying she was not so memorable. But glad i did, as i hadnt recognized her as Michonne without the hair. So thanks for that too.

Nonetheless, picking her over Killmonger is just wrong...
Or she must be vital in Infinity War (lets not discuss though, spoiler wise), but i think i would be pretty dissapointed if Okoye would steal the show, right?
The simple answer is probably that heroes sell better than villains.  I'm sure they've got statistics to back this up.

While people play villains with awesome power sets (e.g. Vulture), I suspect mediocre heroes see more play than mediocre villains.
Could be right, but personally (and from friends) I think the bad guys always make the story/movie good or bad, moreso than the heroes..

But ok, than maybe they oughta give us the bad guys as opponents to kill? Solo nodes in FFW would have been quite nice for that, but guess thats wasting money for such a little component..

This game has never been about Villains, Heroes, or the characters themselves when it comes to who we choose for battle in any aspect of the game. It's all about powers and who we are lucky enough through RNG to fully cover and champ. You think everyone in 5* land loves Gambit, Thor, Thanos, or Dare Devil all the time. Even in 4* land where the Meta is Rocket & Groot, Gamora, and Medusa. We choose who will win the fight faster in PVE and who will counter the other team better in PVP. If those powers of the people that are chosen the most in PVP or PVE were given to a villain then that person will be chosen. Same goes for boosted 4*'s in PVP. Most people choose those teams because they are boosted and give them a better chance of winning not because they are villains or heroes. Villains and Heroes sell the same in this game according to what powers the Devs give them. If Gambit's powers were given to a villain then everyone will still spend on it when he was in the Latest. Preference is gone in this game in exchange for function.

Overall i agree with you, when it comes to competitive play.

Yet i have played with Howard just for laughs, just imagining the face of the opponent, seeing a retal with The Duck in it..

Also, not interesting money wise, but levelled my 1* Spidey, without needing him really, just because he has the original cover.. No real logic besides being a fan there.

Another thing. Havent we all had to pick which 3* or 4* to champ next. Not because we gonna use it, as the best have been champed already, but just as all need to be done sometime. Didnt you pick favourite first? (If no covers in queue)

Also, if your premise that its solely about powers and function, the hero/villain discussion would be moot as well, yet here we are.. ;-)

Yay for Webbed Wonder! May everyone's howard be the color they need, though realisticly too many of us will just get another junk purple.

I'm definitely not arguing that people ignore powerful characters because they're villains.  I already mentioned that lots of people use Vulture.  Instead, I'm arguing that all else being equal people want to collect hero characters more.

Imagine that there were two characters in development with functionally identical powers and other stats.  The only difference was that one is a hero and the other a villain.  Now imagine that they release just one of the characters: which one is likely to generate more revenue?

We can't know the answer for certain, but I suspect if we could take the per-character revenue figures and normalise them based on the character rankings people have put together, I suspect there would be some correlation with heroes and villains.

I doubt the villains ever had a fair shot though..

Anyway, Okoye being a woman of mpq, she at least has a better chance of being great toon than Killmonger would have had... ;-)

    @Brigby
Why Webbed Wonder again?  Both Simulator and Webbed Wonder ran on 3/26 & 3/19 respectively.  Normally there's like 3 months between the same events and a full cycle through active events.  What gives?

Just take the Howard. We want the duck!

Events used to rotate more when we had Heroics PvE events.. still don't understand why they can't re-run these every now and then

We haven't had a weeklong in a while either. You cut those 2 out and things get repetitive in a hurry.

I do too. I’m just annoyed that every time this event runs I have bigger ISO priorities. My Howard was at 13 covers when they started giving the Webbed Wonder covers and so far I’ve still sold them all. Last time I was expecting that I would be my last sell because 2 months from now I’ll be done with 4*s, but alas I have 3 4*s with outstanding covers and Howard trying to pile on... again.... joy...

Also I’m glad Heroics are gone. They were too broken to new players and that’s not a good thing. My 3 month rotation is based on after they left.

i agree that old heroics were broken for new players as they had a fixed roster that you could use, however if you remember before they did away with them completely  they removed the fixed roster and you could use any character you wanted.
that being said heroics were boring it was basically just dark avengers and HAMMER enemies , but it would be nice if they threw them in the rotation every once and a while just to dilute the pve pool if nothing else.

I'm fine with having heroic versions of events, but IMO they should run concurrent to the normal version and be something players elect to play for better rewards/more challenge.  Make it a feature of choice rather than a feature of restrictions.

So for example Venom Bomb & Venom Bomb Heroic start at the same time, picking one locks you out to the other.  I alliance points are shared between them.  While it's a neat idea there are a number of technical challenges holes with it too that make it unlikely to happen.
