What a fiasco.  They dangle the next over-the-top OP card that threatens to ruin the game for anyone facing it, and the community clamours for top spot only to have it stripped from them by some random tie breaking rule.

This is not going to go well no matter what happens.

Considering this bug and the issues with matchmaking low level planeswalkers I really think they should run this event again, I don't think people would care if it was just Mechanised again but everyone wants RE for obvious reasons! (i.e. it is broken as...*insert rude word here* )

    I second this.

Also @ridfrenzy I think the word you're looking for is "tinykitty".

Not to mention the fact that Saturday night the server had an issue that required maintenance, causing everyone that was playing in that moment to get the "something went wrong" message of death and auto-lose their games.
This event needs to be fixed and re-run with the same rewards. Period.

I see no reason why we shouldn't run this again.  It was done for Saheeli Rai.

    (Cynical part):

The players that win Rishkar this time will stuff it in their decks with the usual suspects and end up winning the second round as well.

    Photo evidence:
    5 minutes after finishing event @ 05:19 EST: 13th

    35 minutes after finishing: 31st

    65 minutes after finishing: 35th

I believe these illustrate my point enough. They're darkened, yes, but I wanted the time visible.

    @Brigby

I’m preemptively posting this. I’ve finished all my nodes at 272 pts (max pts-1), 26 mins after the last refresh. Only one other player is at 272 before I finished my nodes.

There were about 20 players at maximum pts.

Unless there are 49 players at maximum score, I should finish in the top 50 and get my reward.

Because of the leader boards bug though, there seems to be a hidden number/factor which determines who finish where in case of ties, regardless of who finish first.

For instance, these three players finishes with the exact same score:

Player A (with a hidden number of let’s say 3) finishes his nodes right away.
Player B (with a hidden number of 1) finishes 2 hours later.
Player C (with a hidden number of 2) finished 1 minutes before the end of the event.

Logically, it should be like this, first come, first served:

    Rank 1: Player A
    Rank 2: Player B
    Rank 3: Player C

But because of the bug, instead the rankings will look like this:

    Rank 1: Player B
    Rank 2: Player C
    Rank 3: Player A

If only Top 2 would get the exclusive reward, Player A would be pushed out of it unjustly.

For an unknown reason, my “tiebreaker” seems really bad, and in case of ties, I always end up last among players with the exact same score, despite the fact that I finished my nodes first.

So here’s my proof about where I finished.

I know I won’t be the only who might be unjustly pushed out of his reward.

I would suggest other players to post where they finish too, and if someone can see where the maximum players rank ends, to post it too, in order for us to know how many players at maximum score there is.

Please, we just want to receive our just reward if we got randomly pushed out by this bug.

We worked really hard for it.

    Thank you.

As you can see in @DuskPaladin's post, the top finisher spanargoman is rank 6th, the second finisher, summonghost is 3rd, and third to finish, koolmind is sitting 5th when he took screenshot. There's no logic to it.

I screenshotted my position when I finished (as I was the fastest -1 point score it is easy to work out where I should place, so slow @DuskPaladin :P)  I suggest everyone do the same and be prepared to ticket if you get pushed out the top 50.

That's likely me getting pushed, despite being the first to post a 1-loss campaign. Not bad considering I ran the table after dropping my opening match.

To my knowledge: The user Avacyn, who's been perfect the whole way despite playing late after refreshes always taking the top spot each time, has yet to play.

I'm thinking if ridfrenzy, duskpaladin and phoenixrisen
can post their planeswalker used, level and approximate
deck strength. maybe it might help in locating what is
    causing this.

I used Kiora 60 and Dovin 57. Tezz2 began at 12, but with terrible matchmaking, I had to level him 33 positions to compete (Got matched with PWs 8, 9, 11, 15, & 27 levels higher).
Faced two level 60s at level 45 and won both. Tezz2 is incredibly solid! Only loss was my opening match Tezz2 lvl 12 vs Kiora lvl 13 Dubious Pig deck. No chance!

Currently ranked 15 out of 16 perfect scores at the moment despite completing my matches first. Am glad that I'm safely within the bands for getting Rishkar's Expertise at least.

I'm leaning towards the theory that it's based on the time you joined the event. I joined in the morning local time which was approximately 8.5 hours after the start of the event.

Maybe others can post their joining time to see if it tallies up.

    That could be it.
I joined the event almost as soon as it was announced on the main Events page, roughly 6-hours before the start of BP.
Also, I have not once checked my score on the leaderboard, opting instead to check my rank on the Activity Hub screen instead.

The checking of rank is confirmed not to be the factor as people have witnessed others dropping in rank even when said player is not in the app, for instance my drop from 1st to 7th was noticed by others while I was not in the game.

I guess we will need one or two more people to help verify whether the event joining timing is the definitive factor.

Well, it has you listed first overall currently, but you finished 4th fastest. I clocked the top 5. Actually, I'm tracking the whole thing really.

Sounds accurate as I finished the last set of Nodes in around 20-minutes, so I would assume there would be faster players.

My current theory is that who you are matched against
and who you lose to might be a factor. in phoenixrisen's
case that early lost to a level 13 kiora could have meant
trailing at the end of each group of same ribbons score.
