Ok, the strangeness of Hollowpoint Kiss is now over, first PVP with "true healing", and we will have to see if that was the impetus for the low overall scores. We finished 81st as an alliance with 13659 points, and were rewarded with Daredevil red, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP. Our overall score was higher than the last event, with a lower ranking confusing what most of us saw in our brackets for top scores. We will see what happens in the next PVP. Individual scores as follows:

    Beast1970 - 1025
    Jim1200 - 1011
    PorkBelly - 915
    Ratfink845 - 891

Blind Justice is done, jury is still out on scoring effect of true healing. Most saw lower scores in their brackets, but the top few in mine were still over 1100. We finished 64th as an alliance with 13254 points. We were rewarded with Punisher red, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP for our efforts. Just to put our effort in some perspective, we were 64th out of 22633 alliances all competing in a single bracket, not too shabby. Individual scores as follows:

    Beast1970 - 977
    seanarmstrong - 912
    Jim1200 - 907 (pretty good while camping)
    PorkBelly - 904

Here we go with Trial by Combat results. We finished 72nd as an alliance with 12359 points, better this time. Lower overall score was also affected by solesoulsorrow's broken phone, missing his normal 800-900 point contribution. We were rewarded with Loki purple, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP. Individual scores to follow:

    Beast1970 - 914
    PorkBelly - 908
    Jim1200 - 905
    seanarmstrong - 901
    entrailbucket - 825
    Bobby Digi - 813
    pbrownusmc - 812
    Ratfink845 - 728
    Deatheacher - 675

    Neilorax - 417
    ashish.utd - 315
    solesoulsorrow - 209
    Vizix - 124

For tracking purposes, our Season III rank is 78 right now, which should be pretty accurate as there was no overlap between the PVP's this time. Six more days, we need to hang in there to get the next Nick Fury reward!

Next up is God of Lies, in which the rewards will be Falcon. Good luck out there and see you in the chat!
  • First off Beast1970 is busy with work so I decided to post our results from God of Lies, thankfully this one is finally over.

The alliance finished 81st with a combined team score of 13,491 points, over a thousand points better this time but we were lower in alliance ranking overall. This has to be because the scores jumped much like they did at the end of Season II. We were rewarded with Falcon blue, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP. Individual scores to follow:

    entrailbucket - 953
    Jim1200 - 950
    White1 - 930
    seanarmstrong - 913
    PorkBelly - 907
    pbrownusmc - 840
    Deatheacher - 751
    Beast1970 - 736
    solesoulsorrow - 735
    Kuangster - 690
    Bobby Digi - 682

    Neilorax - 528
    ashish.utd - 357
    Vizix - 336
    seaninut - 70

We are currently 76th for Season III with 3 and a half days to go until the end of the season.

Next up is Top Gun with the "rewards" being Ragnarok.

Top gun has drawn to an end, and shown us the support potential of the Falcon. We finished 97th as an alliance with 12593 points, falling almost 1000 points from the last event. Thanks to those of you that put in the last minute push to put us back in top 100 territory. We were rewarded with Ragnarok red, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP. Individual scores to follow:

seanarmstrong - 1121 (nice job on first in alliance, as well as gaining the 1100 point reward)
    Beast1970 - 934
    Jim1200 - 913
    entrailbucket - 910
PorkBelly - 900 (scraping for that token)
    pbrownusmc - 870
    Bobby Digi - 806
    Deatheacher - 715
    ashish.utd - 638
    Kuangster - 609
    Ads_2013 - 607
    White1 - 601
    Spanntastic12 - 584
    Proximity - 558
    Neilorax - 456
    Ratfink845 - 403
    FOAD - 345
    Vizix - 335
    seaninut - 253
solesoulsorrow - 35 (can't wait until your phone is fixed)

Next up is Krakadoom! featuring Ragnarok, of course. Rewards will be 500 ISO, uh, I mean IM40. This is the last event for Season III, in which we are currently ranked 76th. In addition to this event, please don't forget Shield training. If you haven't maxed out your rewards there, you shouldn't need many skips to find match ups worth 50 points a pop, giving you an easy way to dramatically boost your season score and help the Alliance rank. As an example, I did 5 matches there tonight, adding almost 250 points to my total and boosting my overall season standing from #50 to #41. Expect some movement in Shield, but if you make sure you fight way above your score (which will happen if you choose matches worth close to 50 points), the chance for retaliations is slim, and if they happen, the amount of points you lose is very small. I was hit with one yesterday, I lost 2 points when someone with 1700 points attacked my team with 980 points. Do the math, I'll take that any day.

The Simulator is also over, and I currently don't see a standings tile. If one pops up, I'll throw up another post, in the meantime, we were in the top 100 earning us the Human Torch Johnny Storm green, which will surely be a required cover for an upcoming event. Congrats to those that got all the covers, and for entrailbucket, here is your reason to keep grinding, another incomplete character for your roster! I can't help but notice you are missing some one star cards as well, get hot!

Good luck out there and see you in the chat!

And Krakadoom! is over, last event in Season 3. We finished 95th as an alliance with 12336 points, another drop in points from the last event. Once solesoulsorrow's phone situation is fixed, that should add about 800 more points to the total. We were rewarded with IM40 red, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP. Individual scores to follow:

    Jim1200 - 1046 (damn you, I thought I had you there)
    Beast1970 - 1012
    seanarmstrong - 885
    White1 - 838
    PorkBelly - 818
    entrailbucket - 788

Heavy Metal is now over, and was not part of any season at all, much to the shock of most people. We finished 76th as an alliance with 13319 points, it was obvious that solesoul's phone is all better, and a significant number of our members wanted the rewards, which were Lazy Daken black, 1000 ISO, and 50 HP. Individual scores were as follows:

    PorkBelly - 1077
    Beast1970 - 1007
    Jim1200 - 1007
White1 - 902 (should have gotten 5 more points there)
    Spanntastic12 - 769
    Ratfink845 - 753
    Bobby Digi - 721
    pbrownusmc - 709
    Deatheacher - 677
    seanarmstrong - 670
    FOAD - 667
    ashish.utd - 600
    Kuangster - 568
    Neilorax - 552
    solesoulsorrow - 547
    Ads_2013 - 518
    Vizix - 504
    entrailbucket - 443
    seaninut - 388
    Proximity - 240

Next up is Balance of Power, in which rewards will be Psylocke. Just ask solesoulsorrow how he likes her!

We have some expectations within the alliance to have the ability to rely on finishing in the top 100 routinely. To accomplish this, we need participation from all members, such that we won't need to shield hop at the last minute to maintain that status. We think a reasonable expectation for each member in PVP should be around 600 points on a regular basis. Again, some will occasionally be unable to meet that due to other commitments, and all we ask is a quick note to let us know, or better yet a post here, so we can plan on compensating. Some of you may have noticed a small infux of new members. This was in large part replacing those that gave the appearance of coasting along picking up the alliance rewards without any meaningful contribution to multiple events. Others have been low on a few events and sent PMs to the commanders prior to the lower scores to let us know of real life conflicts, and were easily retained. We don't want to have a rotating membership like some other alliances, and don't want to become participation Nazis, which is why 600 was agreed upon as achievable regularly without superhuman effort, and enough that when added to the heavy hitter scores will easily maintain us in top 100 or better range.

We also desire all to participate in PVE events. Again, we have enough grinders out there that we don't need everyone to hit all nodes every 2.5 hours. What we do want is a clear of the essential nodes maybe twice a day, which coincidentally will more than likely keep you in personal top 100 range as well. Some members may not be able to work into the range to obtain newly released covers on personal scores, but if everyone was to contribute to PVE, that again plus the grinder's scores should enable the alliance to score a cover each PVE. Realize we are mostly talking about completing one attack on three nodes about twice a day, so six fights. Rubberbanding works well to help this along. I've been using that strategy mostly this PVE and have cleared all progression rewards 12 hours prior to the event ending.

Last thing for this rambling post, I'd like to just throw out the reminder that we want this alliance to be friendly and fun. I understand there has been some frustration with the lower scoring members lately, and rightly so. I would just ask that you keep it private in form of PM's to the commanders. Some might have valid reasons they have already spoken to us about, some might just be slackers, but it isn't necessarily good to drop a slamfest in the middle of the chat. Do not misinterpret, I am not saying shut up and color, and we welcome the PM's as some of you have already done. I just want to keep the public areas clean and fun. We will respond to your PMs, and most of the time you will find we are already taking action. When we decide to replace someone, we will always line up the replacement before removing the offender, so it may seem as if we are not acting, but we also want to try to find the best fit for long term membership, not just the first easy person we can get to join. Anyhow, this is too long already. I welcome any discussion here regarding anything other than White1's obvious mismanagement of his event score.

Good luck out there and see you in the chat!

Thanks for the post Beast! I was in a couple of alliances prior to this and hands down this is the best. I appreciate that you guys as commanders care about how we perform as a group. You guys are doing a great job! Keep it up!
