    Still debating whether or not to go for 1100. Having a 23 HT is kind of a liability, and it seems like 5/3/5 is optimal for him anyways. Might just decide to be lazy and save the trouble.

    I hit 1100 for the first time ever in this tournament and it felt pretty nice. Shame this thing has no other rewards worth fighting for.

    So just to make sure, when I attack someone their retal pops up in the same node I attacked them in right? Ie, if I attacked a mstorm in the city the retal won't show up in the desert right?

    I'm officially scared of mstorm. I had dropped all my 1*s but I'm rebuilding her bc she's what all the cool kids are doing. Phrasing

    Muhahaha! Someone retal'd my retal but lost. Defensive wins make me so happy.

    No shield until the final three hours, though. YMMV.

    I think it can show up in an open node. So if you've got the top and bottom left nodes full of retaliations already, and bottom right is just the normal queue, when you get hit again, it should take bottom right regardless of where they fought you.
    Not sure what happens if all of the nodes are just the queue, but that's how it seems to work for me when I keep two loaded with retaliations.

    I'm thinking I'm going to wait until I'm within 8 hours of the event ending, then play and get my score up as high as I can before Shielding. pretty much sticking with teams made up of a 2/0/1 28 (Boosted to 42) HT, 3/5/5 81 MN Thor, 3/5/3 69 OBW, and 5/5/3 50 MStorm.

    For 2* Characters, should I just try to stick to hoping I get the covers I want for them and saving HP, or using the HP to level their powers up?

    Don't know what it is with her. I've thrown away 3 OBW covers just today. I think I get more of her covers than any other 2/3*, easily could have had 3 if not 4 versions of her fully covered.

    Purple and black I'd agree with that on. Today is day 50 for me, and just yesterday I got my 3rd and 4th blue covers for her. I've had enough purples to do 2-3 OBWs with 5 purple.

    I've gotten a few Blue covers lately, but that doesn't help me since my OBW already has 5 Blue. I just need to get 2 Black covers for her and I'll be set.

    Haha, good job locked. He was the only name I recognized on the retals. After rummaging through the muck I've gotten a lot of it back

    Sidenote, I like how EVERY spider man I see, regardless of level, has 5 blue. And yes I realize I see them bc they have more pts and they have more pts bc they have 5 blue yadda yadda yadda. This is more a comment about how I've been playing this game for over 100 days, no spidey blues, no magneto reds.

    me in the middle. as I plan to stay in top5 (ISO! ISO! ISO!) and not buy a shield this tourney, I guess it means 'll need to wake up at 5.30AM again... icon_rolleyes.gif

    my body slowly gets used to waking up so early. still not sure if it's good or just the opposite.

    Same here. I've chosen the wrong time for the final climb -- around when first PVE sub closed, was pummeled pretty hard, decided to drop it completely. Then few hours later came back, just played the retals without agenda and found I'm over 1000 and no incoming attacks. Shielded on 1045 and still no attacks for 2 hours. so made it using 3 shields. Possibly could just play on without the last stop.

    But the game is way unfair, I was hit multiple times by the same guy and on last leg I was hitting a poor bloke with some MNmag/spidey/3k torch army 2 times. There just should be a cooldown period before you can attack the same person again, at least 10 minutes.

    Well, it was worth the experience for later.

    Haha poor you. But maybe not. Spidey is persona non grata. Actually everyone with 5 blue Spidey, myself included, will go to Purgatory instead of getting our Spideys nerfed. And you innocent souls will pray for us and be invited into No Scaling Heaven.
    And anyway I was having fun killing LT/BP teams with the squishy squadron of oBW/Hood/semi-decently leveled 3/x/3 Torch (I just try not to use his black). They were actually pretty easy and the only one dangerous enough was HT (dat red). Or Desert itself, but it's always dangerous. They just never got their mojo back, but I provided easy retals I suppose. Only broke out Spidey when facing other Spideys and cMags everywhere, and funnily enough still wiped on offense one time (yes I am that person that is able to lose with 5 blue Spidey).
