  • Bag-Man also apparently kneecaps Sentry, assuming you keep him from 12 red. http://www.d3pforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15920

Like and player's stash of boosts and HP, lol. icon_lol.gif
  • So much like JCTthe3rd81 my MPQ OCD is pretty bad with regards to character completion - all characters, all covers.
Currently I have 39 slots and am on 350 HP, with Doc Ock to come, Bullseye and Bag-Man in my waiting line-up.
The former 2 can be gotten again, but what with all the stealth changes I fear Bag-Man may mysteriously disappear off to somewhere akin to the Negative Zone and my OCD will never be satisfied. So do I risk not recruiting him and hope he pops up again in PVP battle or do I just bite the bag and take him just in case?

I kinda doubt they'd ever completely remove a character from the game (even one as scorned as Bag-Man)...he might become exceptionally rare but he'll probably always be there.
  • Bag-Man still drops from PVP/LR/SHIELD Simulator matches. He's not impossible to get. I don't think they'll ever make him impossible to get. He's generally considered the worst character in the game (or at least bottom few); if you're going to drop somebody, he makes the most sense.

That being said, Bullseye isn't much better, is still available in tokens, and requires the fewest covers to max of any 2*. If you're that worried about Bag-Man, drop Bullseye.

Doc Ock will almost certainly be an essential character in an upcoming PVE. Even though he isn't a top-tier 3*, he's definitely the most logical to add to your roster of those three characters, especially in the short term.

Well look at that, I got a mention in someone else's post. icon_e_biggrin.gif I feel special now.

An idea I had, (doubt it will ever happen though), was to give free roster slots as a reward with new characters. Say the top 10 in each bracket get 1 of each of the 3 covers, 1k iso and 1 free roster slot instead of 100 Hp. Or the top 10 automatically get to recruit the new character at 0 Hp. Or a reduced cost at least. But only for new character releases.

This way, players don't have to sell one character to make room for another.

P.S. Nick-Thor, +1 for mentioning my name. Of course, my mental instability is not exactly how I want people to remember me icon_e_biggrin.gif .
  • wanted some views on which route is best to go for using Bag-man in pve against goons??

    5/3/5 Edit: Or 4/4/5

but his skills are very expensive so useful might be just the last one....

Use rather OBW for fighting goons - her blue is is pretty helpful

Probably 4/1/5 or 4/2/5 to keep costs down.

Although, I'd highly recommend you just build a 2* Cap or OBW instead to fight goons. Not just because Bagman is kind of useless, but also because the only place his covers drop right now is randomly from pvp fights. It's going to take you ages to get the covers you want.

Being one of the few that actually uses Bagman, (or one of the few that admits it anyway icon_lol.gif ), I'll say the best I've found is 4/4/5.

Best Bag-Man build would be to sell all his covers and level yo oBW, or dupe oBW, but there was that one time when Bag-Man was featured in a Heroic event and oBW wasn't. THE PAIN.
4/1/5 is the cheaper build and the one I have, but I still only mostly used his yellow I think for the cheap cost of 7. He's not worth a slot for a 2* player obviously, barring being featured in a Heroic event, but even then most other characters can do a better job, or just help you win faster unlike him.
  • If you want to level a 2* to fight goons OBW is the obvious choice but Moonstone and 2* Cap are better to have than Bagman.
  • Snarky Remark increased the countdown tile on Colossus' "Immovable Object", actually improving a power

    the new Power Team - Colossus/Bagman/x ....

... or is that remark too snarky ?

I talked about this here http://www.d3pforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19202 and not many agreed.

I call it a bug that needs to be fixed.

Quick question. Bag-Man has sentimental value for me (I used to run this site: http://www.angelfire.com/myband/skacorp ... /smen.html), but has he been powered up since he was taken out of the rotations? I feel like it may be time for me to sell him in exchange for Squirrel Girl. Can anyone confirm the last time he was powered up?

That is a fantastically thorough list of alternate Spider-men!! (Are you reading "Spider-verse", BTW?)

In my year+ of playing, Bag-Man has been powered up exactly once IIRC -- and I believe it may have been during a Heroic, cruelly enough. That said, mine was maxed at the time and did see a lot of play in the goon-battles within. I knew he was a joke character from very early on, but sentimentally still leveled him anyway, as that symbiote storyline -- and F4/Bag-Man issue -- were among my earliest Marvel-reading memories. I personally will never sell him -- in my mind, he's the team-mascot of my ever expanding roster. icon_e_biggrin.gif

He was the only purple user in a Heroic Venom. But I think that at the time, not all allowed characters were buffed in a heroic like they are now. So, he might not have been buffed even that time. icon_e_sad.gif

He definitely was - I remember being so very amused by that, as it only got the Bagster some extra HP, since none of his three abilities scale with level. icon_lol.gif
