Brackets are created based on when you start playing. You could be the newest player in the game and still go head to head with him. If you had a low MMR, you would never, ever see TheLadder in a fight node though.

That's actually technically not true. If TheLadder, or any other high level player, tanked his MMR, you could see him. And you could also see him if you were both playing a lightning round and you both got high enough -- at some point you start getting people in your point range, regardless of MMR (this doesn't normally happen in PvP tournaments because there are so many people at every point value, but for lightning rounds it's pretty sparse at the top).

Earlier I checked my rank and with 666 points I was at rank 6
Just now I checked my alliance rank and we are #66 with 6664 points

This has been a really fun tourney. I've been setting my lineup based on the opponents and have so far used:

Panther & cMags (a lot)
OBW & cMags (a little less)
Panther & Spidey (maybe two or three times)
Hood & cMags (once)

in order from most to least.

And since Patches is tanking red and green I haven't been able to use my favorite suicide, death squad of Hulk-Patch-Fathor but they might come in handy at the end assuming black tiles are plentiful.

Saint Matthew, I left you a nice retaliation surprise, a level 15 Patch (completely by mistake)

Time to play PVE with what seems like the gimpiest, buffed version of Patch compared to the Best There Is version.

I give up, I cannot cross the 700 point threshold. Every time I get within 15 points I come out of a match back down around 640. I cannot break through to get into the top 10 in this one, oh well.

I have never lost so many points in such a short time... Holy cow! I dropped over 200 points in less than 30 min of playing. That includes me trying to gain.

Not strictly true, I grinded from 500 to 907 about 20 hours ago. Have been attacked once in the whole tournament... and got a defensive victory. You know who you are

I am barely hanging onto 10th place with 813 points. And watching the player in 9th sit unshielded with 830 points and wondering how they're managing that.

Yeah this tourney has been very competitive. Double level patch is just such a monster on offense that I've been running him with hood and spidey since he can just eat the entire enemy team a few turns after I hit my green and hood helps with the stun lock. Currently winning my bracket hope I hold it to finish off my iw green.

I was in a death bracket too. Top 4 consisted of 2 of our own team mates and 2 other top alliance members. I think I managed to get top 10 even without using shields though. My miserliness will be my undoing one day.

I think I spend around 600 HP on this tourney alone. But was totally worth it. For the sake of covers. For the sake of excitement.
