This tournament was fun. I didn't shield at all so that was nice.0

Entered at the last 20+ minutes. Just a few fights got me into top 150 so it's all good0

That was a super fun tourney! Patch/Mags/Hood were lethal!!!0

Clintman if you see this, sorry for smacking you twice but that got me into first where I shielded giving you two juicy retaliations at least!
God man, I had a retributions at the same time with you and Xman2000, I couldn't keep up with the beatings. Seemed like S.H.I.E.L.D got bunched up a lot in the brackets this time around. Well played though, this was a fun, super high scoring PVP matchup. Glad to hear you locked down 1st. I lost my first place to a very clever player who sat right under at 3rd place then snatched the IW at the last minute, while I played my wifes account to keep her 2* team in top 10, talk about nerve wracking.
Tons of fun, well played.0 -
I knew it would be exciting bc of the new Cap covers but man everyone went nuts on points. Definitely a lot of fun watching leaderboards that last hour. Almost felt like an elite with the strategic shield dropping occuring.0

Spent way too many health packs but I managed to hold top 10 - I guess I should consider myself lucky considering I was running A. Wolvie the whole event0

Seeing a baby XWolv get downed by cascading match damage on turn one was hilarious!0 -
This event was super intense, lots of action at the top. Was staring from afar at the top 10 until the last 30 mins, moving up to secure a top 5. The guy i pushed out of the top 10 missed out on a cover which i am sure he won't be happy about as he was shielded a LONG time.
Also noticed that TheLadder was overtaken at the end? Surprising given how far ahead he appeared to be all event long.
All in all a ton of fun! Lots of excitement this time around.0 -

I don't need 1st, the guy up top needed that IW cover. He caught me on one of my charitable days
And... Well played! I saw you sneak in at the very end0 -

Spent a lot of healthpacks, but thankfully didn't need to shield to stay in top 10 (shields, shields everywhere). This event is bad for your health, I think I downed quite a lot of characters in the final push0

Man It looks like everyone had a Close battle for this one! I had an 8 hour shield up and this guy came up with about an hour left and got 1 point ahead of me. I unshielded at 4 min left and did a 25 point node I had stacked up. Thankfully didn't get attacked and took the win! Whew!0 -

I had you sitting in my retaliation queue in case I had to unshield to keep top 10. Wouldn't have been the easiest battle but fat points at the end.
Was one of the weirdest tourneys I've been in for a while. Jozier, clintman and Suay in my bracket, plus multiple other heavy hitters. Lurked in the teens most of the tourney, then had an unexpected real life event delay starting the final push until 2.5 hours left when I'd planned to go earlier. Started grinding the final push from 750 to the 850 or so I expected to lock up top 10.
Get hit by someone I'd skipped over earlier as not being worth the retaliation risk. Five minutes later get hit again by the same guy, and now I'm thinking top 10 is out of reach, so I'm just pissed off and retaliate against him. Come out of the battle to find he'd attacked me a 3rd time, almost certainly before my retaliation win. Now he's at the same points as me so I retaliate again and shield after. Leaving me around 800 and him at 750.
Got a defensive win a couple minutes later and squeaked out a top 10 finish staying shielded.0 -
This was indeed a fun tourney. I had shielded at what was 6th or 7th place (730 ish points) with 3 hours to go, but dropped to 12th with 30 minutes left. I unshielded with 12 minutes to go and managed 2 victories to put me in 10th by a dozen points. Also my alliance members were all in a late push to climb from the 110 range to a not-so-nerve-racking 80th. 3 more cap covers, yay!0

Couldn't wake up for the last hour but I wasn't aiming for IW. To all in the bracket thank you for making it a good challenge.it has been a while since I have had a tough bracket.0

Congrats to four of my fellow scAvengers for getting into top10 of this ridiculous bracket!
I think I spend around 600 HP on this tourney alone. But was totally worth it. For the sake of covers. For the sake of excitement.0 -
I wonder if Phantron got a defensive victory while shielded or quickly unshielded, got a win and shielded again (not many people have the HP to do that, so I assume a defensive win). Sigh... with 100% buffed Patch and Wolverine** being god-like, I think I never got a defensive win in this event. Boo.0

My defensive team ended up going 2-2. I have to assume those two wins were Patches/cMags/Panther, but someone could have got a bad cascade against OBW and cMags.0 -

The funny thing is the bracket looked like that from day one. Those guys really deserve a lot of credit they were serious from the get go. Excel was shielding over 900 from day 1. It was a really fun bracket. I regret selling my maxed 2 star Wolvie but is didn't know they were going to bring respec in so quickly. Patch at 141 however ends matches quickly it was like lighting rounds with seed teams0 -

I was in Twysta's bracket. I don't have Patch or C.Mags at playable levels, but my offensive team of A.Wolvie/OBW/Hood got me to top 5, so I was happy. Picked up a couple of defensive wins here and there too--A.Wolvie's red is ridiculous at double strength, and OBW/Hood make sure that nobody else sees the AP they need.0
