    Great job on finishing top 100 guys. Hope some people got enough covers to finish off their Punisher as he's a pretty solid character.

    I'm not looking forward to the next PvP if it features Dr. Doom. Draining the board of blue tiles makes Daken a sad panda. Speaking of which, if you were considering dumping covers/iso into a Daken I would highly suggest it if possible. His synergy with Patch, GSBW and especially Thor feels almost broken. While I'm a bit sad I will never get to experience the awesomeness of Patch + Magneto, team "Thaken" has been an absolute monster for me the past two events even when running the loaner lvl 23 featured character vs 3x141s.

    Yeah I'm pretty sure that I don't know how to play the game anymore. PVP is nuts for me, and MMR is borked apparently ... I've been having trouble hitting 500. I finally do have a viable 3* though, and I was waiting for 2 ... but I might have to make the leap. mohio, portland was pretty awesome. tons of fun things to do and great food to eat.

    I'm right there with ya, noob... it may be difficult to believe, considering I've consistently underperformed ever since I joined the alliance, but when I was in 2* and 2*-3* transition I almost never finished a PVP event below 700 (and I don't even particularly like PVP). It seemed like the less effort I put into it the better I performed... now I try (work and life permitting) to play with any free time I come across (I'm months behind in comic reading, movies and console games) but unless I spend an entire day tanking I can barely break 400... and even then it seems like my tanking is becoming less and less effective, as I did well last event and now I'm right back up to maxed nodes again in the Punisher PVP. It's disheartening...

    I did a little token experiment over the last month and I decided to share my results here, because . . . why not?

    Concept: I am originally one of the players that opens every token upon receiving it and find myself disappointed way more often than not. My idea to change this up is listed below and I saved my results throughout the month:

    1) To save up to a set amount of tokens before opening any. I settled on 50 primarily because I thought that this number would offer the odds that I wanted in the following step.
    2) Upon obtaining 50 tokens I would begin opening them starting from the left side of the store (Standard tokens, naturally) and work my way right into Heroic and then Event tokens. I would stop only when I opened a 3* or 4* cover of any kind. I know 4* covers aren't that great, but from an odds perspective they are similar to the 3* covers I'm really chasing.
    3) Once I hit a gold cover and stopped I would save up the difference to get to 50 again and rinse/repeat.

    The results:
    • 6/1 – None – 47 Standard and 3 Heroic
    • 6/14 – Black Panther (Blue) – 5 Standard
    • 6/15 – Daredevil (Red) – 32 Standard and 3 Heroic
    • 6/17 – Daredevil (Purple) – 16 Standard
    • 6/18 – Punisher (Red) – 9 Standard
    • 6/19 – X-Force (Yellow) – 17 Standard and 11 Heroic
    • 6/21 – Loki (Black) – 1 Standard
    • 6/21 – IM40 (Yellow) – 14 Standard
    • 6/25 – Black Panther (Yellow) – 6 Standard and 9 Heroic
    • 6/29 – Hood (Blue) – 5 Standard
    • 7/1 – IM40 (Red) – 10 Standard and 1 Heroic
    The first draw went exactly as I expected it, but from there on I was greatly surprised. Despite some of these covers not being the greatest they were all usable to me and I feel like this was an incredibly lucky streak. At no point in time during the entire month-long process did I ever have to dip into the Event tokens* and I now have 33 Event tokens saved up. I don't expect the luck to hold up, but I'm going to continue on with my experiment and see how it goes. At the very least it has left me a lot more satisfied than opening tokens individually.

    *Very special exception to this whole process and statement. I did open up two DA: Heroic tokens outside of the process. I was struggling with the first sub having missed out on obtaining a She Hulk while on vacation. I decided to open these Event tokens separately in the hopes I would land one for the rest of the Event. I lucked out (again) and nabbed a Green cover on my second token. icon_mrgreen.gif The rest will be saved as detailed above.

    Interesting approach. I tend to open in 5s or 10s unless it is the end of the day in which case I open any I have above 50 (40 standard and 10 heroic).

    You are on a lucky streak there! The only good pull I have had in the last week is one She Hulk from one of the event tokens.

    I just don't have the patience to wait until I have 50 tokens. Every time I get any recruit token I always think this is the one that will give me that illustrious 3* that I have always wanted and end using it as soon as I get it. I might try a different approach and open them in bulk batches although I very much doubt I could last to 50 tokens. I might try for 25 tokens and see if I can hold out.

    Amazing luck there xkobaltx. In another bout of madness yesterday, I opened up some ~65 heroics (or better) and pulled pun black, patch green (already maxed), storm black, thor green and cmags purple. LOL. I mean come on. And so I doubled down and opened my 122 regular tokens and pulled a solitary sentry yellow. Alright universe, it's time to be nice now. IT'S TIME.

    With zero MMR management working I've taken the plunge and 141ned punisher. I'll be looking to pair him with some other guys, hulk, hood and cap are close, and I'll have to figure out who synergizes better.

    I really don't get this new change. On the face of it, seems like some of my 3*s that were hovering around 100 are a bit more scary.. but so are the maxed 2*s to balance that.

    Also, I now have enough to almost max Hood, but it seems like his HP scaling really hurts him as even when buffed it is laughably low. I imagine GSBW has the same problem.

    I really, really wish they would fix the issue with SwiftKeyboard on android. They broke it in R49. I keep seeing your chat but to respond I would have to exit the game, change my keyboard settings, open the game, type, and then change it back when I want to send emails.

    I'll be avoiding spoilers for now! Done with trade 2 and man there is a lot going on. I'm pretty sure that I'll have to go back and reread parts to make sure I have all the plot threads together. Will have to hunt down the 4th trade. I do like that first run enough that I'll put it on the list for getting as individual issues ... you know cos collecting and stuff.

    It'll take a bit for people to adjust to the change. It helps a touch with PVE but once the game scaling hits, it's going to be exactly the same thing. So really it nerfs 1*s, and buffs 3*s. Hence the chasm between 2* and 3* gets wider ... as if it wasn't already.

    As for typing just misspell man, it's all good.

    I am disappointed that we didn't manage to make top 100 on this one with Sentry being a new and pretty powerful character. Well done to Mohio on getting the She-Hulk progression award.
