    Thanks for that HawkeyeSucks.

So for 319K iso you get:

    HP +2806

Green +6 damage per tile match and +264 damage
Black +5 damage per tile match and +33 damage per tile
Yellow +5 damage per tile match and +330 per heal

Not worth it in my opinion on the damage end. Maybe worth it for the HP, or WOW factor, but 319K of ISO can go a looooong way
  • The 10000 hero points i just spent on black covers does not seem worth it now that they ninja nerfed the ap gain

What nerf are you referring to? The in-game description hasn't changed. Once upgraded to five covers the description doesn't specify that it generates AP, but it now lacks the note saying it does not generate AP.

Edit: I just tested the skill in-game, it still generates AP at five covers.

Remember, the ap gain is based on how many tiles of the color you destoryed (not your enemy ap pool)
  • The text change and I guess randomly not having the enemies strongest color on the board scared me.

I'm in the same boat for L270 = scarecrow.

Plus any non-maxed character means shorter time per match especially in shield-hopping territory.
  • I got mine to 166 and just stopped. I'm at the point now though where I'm planning on slowly driving him to 270 to scare people off. I mean on the flipside, at 166 I get a good number of people who think he's not covered (5/5/3)...so I can disappear for a while, come back unshielded and even though I lost maybe 60 from climbers, I've gained 140+ (80+ gain - true story) from people who fell for the trap.

But his health right now is HORRIBLE...so while it's expensive to work up to 270, that 3k+ I'd get will help take care of those times I get caught by a random as hell cascade that leads to 6k+ damage.

My X-Force is currently 5/4/4 and I'm waiting on a Black card to get him to 5/5/3.

I have him at lvl 203 and he is still highly devastating. He does tank all his colors when I'm not using a powered up character or my 166 Hulk as you've mentioned. My experience is that he's always out in the front dishing out pain, but taking it as well. I've had multiple matches where the board goes dry for green (or yellow) and he gets mutilated with no chance to heal or end the barrage. I've recently begun to drop healing tiles regardless of his health level for this reason. If anything, it becomes a board disruptor and a quick 1K+ attack.

I'm sure that will change as I get stronger people on the roster. I see why people hate XF. A well planned Surgical Strike or a lvl 5 X-Force ruins lives.
  • What teams are good to take against xforce? I don't have one covered well enough to play (1/1/4 I think), but even when I'm trying to deny black and green I just end up shocked at how even a 100 xforce can wipe out my pair of soft-capped @ 153 team of Hulk & BP. I mean, heck, even if I reach up to a fully leveled 3* team I can usually take one of the characters down, but xforce is starting to give me a nervous tick when I see him in nodes... which incidentally are almost all of them.

You should check those X Forces first to see if they're indeed 5/5/3. 5/4 or 4/5 is roughly on par with a strong 3*, and 4/4 is only an average 3*. There are a lot of X Forces that are missing a cover somewhere.

    Top choices are:
    1) CMag. They work so well like PB&J that the pairing is dubbed Sexmagnet.
    2) LCap. Works very well in PvE.
    3) Fury. A bit slow, but when you get there, it's deadly.
    4) Goddess Thor. Most destructive pairing at the moment.
    5) Hood. Accelerates XForce and Surgical Strikes. Works even better when the 3rd character has two or more of active skills in Red/Blue/Purple colours.

So for PvP specifically, it seems consensus that X-Force & LadyThor are the top-tier pairing.

Assuming no 4* Thor, what would be next-best? CMags? Hood? Maybe Hood for defense, CMags for offense? Fury perhaps?

With no LadyThor, CMags is by far the best, cost efficient offensive pairing you can go with him. You can get away with boosting +2 gb, +2 ry in order to get off their abilities. With fury you really need +3 blurple, +2 gb, +3 ry in order to make Fury's yellow deal damage, so it gets twice as expensive. (Fury also basically needs boosts or else he's slow as hell, while a boostless cmags can still function relatively well). Hood is necessary vs other XHood teams, but is generally ridiculously slow compared to CMags or Fury unless surgical hits yellow.

Is XMags > XHood for general defensive purposes (assuming 1 required loaner is a non-factor)? Otherwise, would deciding XMags vs. XHood as defense depend mostly on featured?

xMags is mediocre on defense from my experience, that team relies more on being able to speed push its way to high point totals. XHood > everyone except XLadyThor for defense.

Fury can be problematic on defense as well, just because if you go after X-Force first and the featured character is fairly tanky and strong, like say Black Panther or 3* Thor, Fury can get those colors like blue and purple that you aren't chasing right away and smack you upside the head, its' why I thnk 4hor is so good on defense right now, everyone chases green and black and all of a sudden she has 9 blue.

Cmags is good, as is deadpool - which one I used depended a lot on the featured character. Daredevil isn't a bad option either.

I usually don't advocate buying covers but if you are at 10+ covers and have the hp, buying covers for x-force is a good idea. I did something similar for T4or - once I was at 11 covers I didn't see the point in waiting for the covers I was missing to be winnable when I had an hp stockpile.

    I have a 4/5/4 X-force at level 220. I use him a lot. I'll take it as a "yes".
  • At what point is a **** Xforce worth leveling/playing? I have 10 covers, but they fell pretty sub-optimally at 4/2/4. Do I go now? Wait for a 5th green? Wait to get a couple more black?
