Despite the fact that D3 screwed up the next anniversary event by eliminating alliance progress, I had a good time using SW, X-Wolvie and IF in the boss waves.0
-
Can someone please explain how the round scoring is working? Are the scores needed to pass each round just sufficiently low that a single player could reach them with enough effort? Or can each player only apply points against their own personal score?
If the latter, are round scores significantly lower than in previous boss fights? Ideal play in earlier boss fights meant that 20 dedicated players could beat round 8 in about 5 full 8 hour cycles. Will it take individual players the same amount of time for boss rush?0 -
That the rewards are now for individual rather than alliance effort is good, because I have a better chance of beating round 8 than the alliance as a whole has. But it's also bad, because I can't use my efforts to help my alliance-mates gain Peggy covers.
Round 3 ramps up the damage considerably. Ultron doing 15k damage per bomb, after already facing Banner and Goblin? And the match damage alone is not trivial. Played it once, failed it once.0 -
Round 3 is Banner/Goblin/Ultron. You need 36k points to advance to R4.0
-
To complete round 2 requires 23,000 on top of the 15,000 from round 1 (so 38,000 total).
To complete round 3 requires 36,000 (so 74,000 total)0 -
Round 3 is tough as nails. Especially when you consider no bosses are able to be stunned and the boosted list isn't the greatest.
I made it through a clear of it, but only because I got lucky and my IM recharge tiles lived long enough.
32k health on a boss is pretty hardcore, luckily Banner is easy pickings. If he had 32k hp as well things would get crazy.
Best team I've found is IM40, Red Hulk, and Elektra. Red Hulk keeps Banner in check, IM40 fuels the big hits which lets Red Hulk almost one-shot Green's phase, and Elektra cheeses out Ultron's beefy explosions.0 -

This Anniversary season has been so messed up. None of the new changes, like CL or three CP goals, that anyone liked. BFF Scaling was broken because the team that designed it didn't figure out the very basic math problem they were dealing with and just copy-pasta'ed the normal MMR scaling. Venom Bomb couldn't reach CP progression without all three Featured Characters, one of which was just introduced, the whole TAH mess. And now the Boss Rush event won't be act like a boss event.
You have a whole year to plan these things, you decide to introduce new changes to the system right before the Anniversary without giving yourself enough time to change the Anniversary events too (or not bothering to even try), and the changes you do make for special Anniversary events negatively effect players. Way to , MPQ. Good job.0 -
If anyone has the exact Hit point numbers, let me know and I'll update. I've got pieces put together from various posts.0
-
Just found out that when the game crashes right when the fight starts on the Main Boss Wave fight, you don't get a chance to repeat it. You lose out on the rewards and the 6000 points. Not good at all.0

The constant bugs have ruined this entirely over-hyped anniversary.0

Round 3,Green Goblin wave 2...25K health.
Welp, that's me done.
I wish I was surprised, I really do. Why does everything have to be so **** hard.0 -
Round 4:
Green Goblin 41k health
Iron Man 43k health
OML 30 or 40k health (not sure)
Good luck, this is a super nasty round.0 -
unlike other boss events, the bosses themselves are subject to personal scaling, since basically this is an individual event. i just finished round 4 and my round 5 boss fight is worth 24,000 and the levels for me are 449-456, just a notch above round 4. round 5 progression 110,000.0
-
Round 4 is capped out for me at about 386. Kinda weird, anyways.
GG is first with 35600 hp, Goblin King now reduces by 2 instead of by 1.
278 in every color for match damage.
IM 5* is second with 35600 hp, standard set.
Last is 5* OML, 35600 hp,
Green - lashing out (7ap) - deal 6532 damage to a random enemy, destroy 8 random tiles, cannot be stunned/air
Red - berserker rage (10ap) - deals 5478 damage and an additional 3418 if OML is under 60% health
Yellow - pushed to the limit (passive) - If OML is under 55%, heal him for 1877 hp. If enemy team is under 50%, create 1 strength 395 strike tiles instead (more tiles on later levels based on wording).
278 on all match damage across all 3 characters, and of course damage numbers are subject to change based on levels0 -
Round 4:
Goblin (lvl 373 : 32,191 health : all matches 252??)
Iron Man (lvl 373 : 33,801 health : 340)
OML (lvl 373 : 32,191 health : all matches 252??)
Right now I'm trying 4 , 3 , .
Dammit! Too slow by one minute. Strange my numbers were slightly lower and IM didn't have across the board match strength. Good news is my team actually made it . . . but it was hard. I don't know how I will be able to compete in Round 6, 7, 8 (assuming I can get luck through Round 5).
Recap: I did it three times with that team. All three are champed, and the last time I used a 40% all boost, +2 B/U and +2 All Colors. It was easy.0 -

Great...that would explain why the bosses in Round 3 are LVL 265-279 for me while the other fights are still in the LVL 40 range. My top three characters for this fight are X-Force Wolverine (LVL 375), Kingpin (3/3/5 and LVL 320) and 3-star Storm (287). All three use Black and Yellow, with complete overlap for Wolverine and Storm.
I got really lucky on the Ultron round the first time through. I was using X23, 3-star Daken and Mr Fantastic. I was able to kill Ultron before any of his bombs hit the bottom thanks to two Holding Back (9K damage total) and two matched Hunting Prey tiles (15K damage) Goblin and Banner weren't any problem, and Hulk was actually helpful in letting my stock up on green, giving me extra strike tiles from Daken, and storing up for the Holding Back to take out the other bosses.0 -
Seems to me that unless you have self healing or massive damage reduction it simply cant be done. I made it to OML with 4 wolverine Red hulk and Hood but was almost dead by then0
-
And here's another fun bug. Green Goblin fortified a Pyro Flamethrower tile. I took Goblin out in Round two with X-23's Berserker Fury, bringing on Ultron in Round 3. The Fortified Flamethrower tile stayed on, even though the Pyro and Goblin were both long gone. The timer was at one, and on the next turn the tile blew up for about 2400 pts of damage to the entire team.0
-
Just to note, Jean Grey is a great person to bring for round 4. Her removal bypasses fortify and the AoE damage works wonders on the drones/goons.
Another smart pick (if you have her covered this early) is Spider Woman. Her black basically no-sells 90% of the damage you'll find until you get OML below 60% and she can remove countdowns as well.0 -
Made the huge mistake of bringing 4Thor for round 4. All bosses immune to stun and then iron man did like 19,000 damage in one shot because of all the charged tiles0
