SKYNET alliance chat

Also agree all around. New covers are a good indicator. As far as competiveness, I feel like the player profile of our group is top 50 individual finishes almost always, a decent amount of top 10s, and a top 5/win here and there. Maybe I'm just projecting because that's my profile, but 15 of 20 people doing that every tourney and we shoukd never have to worry about the alliance cover and HP to open slots. As far as the approval process I think it's safe to take a committee approach on the in game chat. Propose a new member and open it up for objections for a 24 hour period. If there are multiple candidates we can have a 24 hour vote.0

In terms of other prospective member requirements, I'd say someone who has a good understanding of the mechanics of the game such as MMR, scaling, tanking, refreshes, rubberbanding, etc. would be essential for a candidate. Also a frequent forum goer/poster would be a plus. It gets lonely in here talking to myself...
All solid ideas, but how do we easily determine? Do we try to "interview" candidates? We could step up efforts to do our best to educate everyone in the forum chat for the refreshes, etc. New covers and highly leveled guys is a good signal that we can easily review. That being said, I'm up for personal recommendations as well, especially if you can shame your buddy should they not participate.0 -
I love the banner, Knock3r. It's less goofy than the one I made.
I like the other one too. Maybe I'll rotate sigs every once in a while.
Hex; Personal recommendations carry some weight, and it helps if someone's willing to spend money. How long has he been playing?0 -

No wins for me yet, but quite a few top 5's.
You did a much better job of conveying what my thoughts are in a concise manner. Wish reputation points still counted on this subforum.0 -
I vote we let this Ailixe guy in - 5 141s (Spidey, Hood, Hulk, Punisher, Wolverine) and a solid load of new covers. As the experience with the other people who've found new homes in a matter of hours shows, a 24 hour waiting/voting period probably isn't going to net us top candidates because people are trying to find an alliance quickly0

Hi all .. I am Gustav3 ... Hex put in a good word for me in terms of joining ... I am slowly getting built up .. I just recently placed 17th in the black widow tourney ... I do play everyday ... so I will do whatever I can to help out the alliance .. thanks!0

and don't worry, I will be plenty active on the forum lol.0

Yea I agree, people are too eager to find a new home so 24 hours won't work. Since us non-commanders can't see potential candidates' rosters (unless they chat), we can only give you our selection criteria preferences and let you commanders make the decision as a group of what's best for our Alliance.0 -
Wow, left MPQ for only a few hours and now it seems I missed a lot.
I think you should be active enough to reach minimum 300 points, better top 50 (around 500). These goals are reachable with ease each tournament. You can't expect from everyone to invest the time which is needed for top 10 when you don't need the covers or when the event ends at a bad time. You should also say hello from time to time here or ingame.
About recruiting criterias was told here a lot already. Two things i have to add. First: @C. Kid don't make it too democratic. You asked us and heard some opinions and that's good. Now make a decision. Second: I don't like the idea of inviting friends into an alliance which wanna be competitive. too much trouble when something goes wrong, when you know what I mean.0 -

I think I intro'd him to the game roughly a month after I started playing, so he's probably around day 90ish. He's the only fb friend I share rewards with. He said he plays daily and participates in most events. I'm not sure exactly how high he finishes regularly, think he got 17th in Hollowpoint Kiss. I think he probably has room to optimize his play some.
I won't be upset if there's a better candidate, nor will he. If you set expectations as far as participation/results, he'll be up front about whether he can commit to that or not. I told him the original alliance just formed quickly and now that we have an opening, we're trying to figure it out.
edit: i see he posted in the thread while i stopped to catch the seed teams in heroic LR before submitting0 -
I agree with hex, I am fine if you guys find a better candidate etc ... I am currently 284 in the hotshot tourney .. and I was in the 500+ range as he stated in the black widow kiss ... thanks guys!0

Final selection criteria requirement:
Must be blood Type O+. Blood sample submission vials will be set to applicants*.
* Applicant must pay for shipping.0 -
Well, I got a couple votes for Ailixe, and a vote for "Shut up and pick someone."
I think the consensus has been that we want our alliance to have strong rosters, so based on that criteria and the applicants that we've had:
I'd like to introduce Ailixe to SKYNET.0 -
To anyone else who was hoping to join, I apologize that we couldn't accommodate.0

Welcome Ailixe!0

Thanks for making the call. I am enjoying the benevolent dictator setup.
And welcome Ailixe, we're looking forward to having you0 -

Heads up, guys. IceIX posted the rough details about the Heroic launching tomorrow:IceIX wrote:As with the above, the Heroic isn't out yet and we can flip switches up until it is. Current required roster is:
Iron Man (Model 35)
Storm (Modern)
Wolverine (Astonishing)
Hawkeye (Modern)
Spider-Man (Bag-Man)
Black Panther
Psylocke
Human Torch - Powered UpIceIX wrote:Posted this in the another thread, here for posterity (and more on-topicness):
Unless someone decides to ninja in a new hero without me looking, you get an Event off from a new one this time around. Current plans are for Captain America (Steve Rogers)/Thor (Modern) for the 3* and Hawkeye (Modern)/Storm (Classic) for the 2*.
I'm not going to lie, guys, I might bow out of this one for sanity sake. I don't really have those characters powered up nor do I really have the ambition to fight a Heroic for those rewards. The last two Heroics were painful enough.0
