  • You're fine. I've got 89429 overall, 15116/19242 in the current run. I do most of my grinding at night.

Makes me want to open that slot now to try to get someone else in who can bump us back up into the prize category. Decisions... icon_e_biggrin.gif

I'm fixin to buy some HP early next week. So, if you add another slot, I promise to buy one or two at that time. What's the cost these days?
  • I think they are 100 per member, so the 12th will be 1200 HP, the 13th 1300 HP, and so on. It gets steep, so buy your contribution early! icon_e_biggrin.gif

Ouch. That's pretty steep, but it'll be a good ROI. I'll probably only get one slot.
  • If I open one now, should we advertise it and put any requirements on it, or just let anyone join in?

PS: Dayv - congrats on the max Hulk!

That's a tough call. We're spending the HP to get more players on the team. It would be nice if we could ensure that they are productive. But, everyone seems pretty happy with keeping this relatively casual. Maybe we could recruit from the forums and just ask for someone that is a regular player.

Whatever the group wants to go with in terms of that kind of recruiting is cool with me. One of the reasons I made everyone a Commander in the beginning... if you want to recruit, awesome, go ahead. I'm addicted to this thing, so I'm going to play regardless.

I think we should recruit on the forum very gently when someone is ready to open a slot. I can't afford another slot myself right now, as I opened one recently and am going to need a new roster position for Steve Rogers if things go well. We want a regular player, but we don't want to get hardcore about it.

One possible downside to making everyone a commander is that we have no way to remove even idle players. It might be worth asking support if there's a way to have people idle out of their alliances if they don't play for a month… On the other hand, we also have no way to know who is idle and who isn't.

Thanks! He's my first maxed three-star. I know some people say he's more of a defense than offense character, but I just love his black and green skills, and knowing that even if he takes a few thousand points of damage I can take him into another fight before I even need to think about a health pack. I may work on GSBW next, as I often use Hulk to feed her green for Sniper Rifle (or as I like to call it, "Murder").

I managed to take 1st in my second round hard bracket for The Simulator. Still no alliance rewards, though. Looking at out points for the bracket last night, I was in first place with about 100,000 points while our 10-person alliance had about 800,000 overall and was still below rank 100. I don't think we have too much of a problem with idle players, I think we're just not big enough yet.

Good job! I finished 6 in easy (ran out of time for a push at 5) and somewhere in the 20's on the hard. I've got 115k and as a group we are around 900k. That's about 82k per person. If we had a 20 man alliance with these types of numbers, we'd currently have about 1.6 mill. I don't know where that falls but number 10 has 2.0 mill at the moment. I'd think that would put us top 50, but without a scrollable leaderboard, it's just a guess. That's not bad at all if we can get there someday.

I fairly certain we have 1 "idle" player right now, but I'm certainly not going to point fingers for awhile yet. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    I'm recruiting #12 now!
  • I did not score well at all in round 2, I got hit by the scaling pretty bad. Was looking at all 180+ teams in hard, and not much better in easy which was way too tough for my roster. I managed to snag a few wins from the character required nodes but only ended up netting about 20k between both easy and hard, and lots of trips to the hospital for my poor characters. Round 3 is looking a lot better for me though so I should contribute more this round.

A lot of the scoring depends on having the powered up 3 stars. I've been lucky so far, but I think Lazy Thor is next. He's the least powerful of the rotation that I have. I'm sitting at #20 in my bracket and hope to end up with those two Lazy Cap covers. Plus, we'll get a third cover if we can stay above 250 for the alliance reward. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied.

Round 3 is rough on me, I'm busier at work and I don't have enough BP covers to make him impressive, plus my round 2 performance seems to have scaled me a bit roughly.

Same for me too. Just going to hammer out one or two matches today on breaks. I've cleared all the easy nodes at least once, but only a couple of the hard nodes. Scaling has also kicked in high gear for me and I can't get past the Juggy/Thor/Moon on the main line.

I think the goal now is just to stay in positions to win all 3 covers. I think we're in good shape there.

Hi. I'm still looking for a credible Alliance.
Would you consider accepting me as Alliance member?
I have a decent line up, daily player, been doing okay for PVE, Nick unimatrix.

I can't send pm yet in the forum, but I somehow can reply to pm.
Appreciate if anyone from Pax Romana commander can contact me.

    Thanks.
  • All,
Do we want to turn the Alliance private? Some people have said they will apply to our alliance so we can view their rosters, but I don't think that's possible unless you are private.

I don't know if it's possible to go back public once your're private, but it might be nice during periods of recruiting to see this.

I think we should go private. Let's make sure we're getting players that are actually playing. I don't really care if they have amazing rosters, but we should get some bang for our HP buck.

Also, does anyone know if we immediately get the benefit of the new player? Do their scores apply to the alliance score right away?

I'm 99% sure they do. I saw our scores drop when some left.

I just set the alliance to Private and it looks like you can change it back to Public. So I will start the recruitment again. I agree, if I'm parting with over 1000 HP per slot now, we should get active players.

I'll open a new slot right now. I just got an Apple store code that gave me ~$20 for an e-book lawsuit settlement in Minnesota. Good timing.
