That sounds pretty reasonable to me. I usually hit 900-1100. But, with the new MMR and brackets, I'm struggling to get much higher than 900. So, with the decrease in points, it would be great if others could pick that slack up. I just got over 500 in the current PvP without shielding. 600 should be attainable for most of us.

Conversation on in-game chat was pretty supportive of this idea as well, so why don't we call it a thing: we will now make 600 points the new minimum goal for PvP.

I think we should implement this starting with the first PvP of season 9, so people have a few days to get used to it.

Of course, if someone can't meet the goals for a little while due to real life, we'll still try to be as accommodating as always.

I mentioned this in chat as well, but to repeat it:

I think we may consider bringing the PVP target back down from 600, with shield codlins in effect. We need to see what happens to average scores, but I think it's a likely change.

Was wondering if it would be ok to try and rejoin you guys or whether you wanted to recruit someone new as I don't know how much I will be able to play over the next coming months. I'm hoping now I'll be able to play most nights but can't guarantee that tho. Where did the alliance finish in Sticks and Stones?

If you still think you can hit 600+ for pvp and keep scores up enough to help us hit top 100 in most pve, we'd be glad to have you back in. If you think that's going to be too much to commit to, you might want to join a more casual alliance for a while. Our retirement alliance Pax Bromana is an option, but you might be better off finding a more active group.

Since I removed you to make room for a merc last night, you should be able to re-apply 24 hours after that, probably coming up real soon now if not already past.

Let us know if you decide you can't make the alliance targets, so we can start recruiting.

As far as Sticks and Stones, we fell just outside top 100, as the merc we brought in wanted to stay for the PvE only. With only an hour in between the two, I didn't have time (or, you know, awake-ness) to bring someone else in.

I'll do my best if I find I can't keep up and not getting enough time to play I'll remove myself from the alliance like I said last night don't want you all to miss out on covers because I can't put up big enough scores.
600+ shouldn't be a problem for PVP although I fell just short of that by 6 points for sticks and stones. I forgot it was nearly over till the last two hours so managed to get 594 points to climb from 450 odd to 61st.
Already got 5759 in the current PVE so I think that's already about what I scored on the whole of the last one. I had been so busy with work I never got much chance to play much.

So after a couple weeks thinking about this, I've decided to stop being a hardcore MPQ player. I've been considering this since some time in season IX, and the announcement of Heroic Oscorp seems like as good a time as any to push back from the buffet and announce that I'm full.

I've left the main alliance and applied to Pax Bromana, but I'll probably be off the game completely for a few weeks at least. I might come back casually later, or I might go full hardcore and re-apply to Pax Romana at some point in the future, but right now there are no guarantees.

I miss reading. I have a stack of comic book trades about 8" high on my nightstand waiting for me to catch up on them, and that's before we even consider real books.

I'll still be around the forums a bit, at least until they find a new moderator.

By the way, I'm not sure if it's actually useful, but I updated our alliance info in mischiefmaker's spreadsheet. Tredo and siebenvier are listed as forum contacts, and it shows Pax Romana as having an opening at this time.

Big changes in Pax Romana's forturnes over the last week or two. Several key members left due to burnout and then everyone else jumped ship.

Razuya (me), DrT, and swongch are the new commanders and we are looking to rebuild the alliance. I've posted the following in the alliance seeking members thread.


Can you post 400 points per PVP? If yes, then Pax Romana wants you.
Pax Romana is a PVP focused alliance with a target of 400 per PVP event.
That's it! No roster requirements, Team Up expectations, or PVE requirements.
We are currently Public so simply Join. We will move to private once we've a stable group of performing players.
