    Yep. For almost 14 years.

And your roster spot isn't going anywhere.
  • Marc,
I hope you don't mind, but I started a thread on the main forum for you.

Leaving a note here for Spadini - he's showing up for me in simulator repeatedly with the same score. if he's shielded, something funny is going on - if not, sorry for the number of times I'm hitting you but no one else worth anything is showing up on my nodes.

    How's it going, everyone??
  • Excellent bump Tredo. We've gotten so used to the in game chat that we've neglected this.
  • This forum page shall never die!!!

Well, at one point it will. Not sure when or how, but I'm pretty sure in a few hundred years no one will remember it.
  • Alright, so we've had some shakeup over the past 2 weeks. We've lost an original member and we've fallen short of our unwritten alliance goals. The general burnout and frustration with the game has many on edge, and not winning expected awards can easily push one over. We had a very successful season 1 (#23!), and it seems as though we aren't alone in scaling back for season 2.

So we'd like to all agree on what we want for the alliance going forward. We've been semi-casual since our origin and have been able to achieve great results without really trying for it. Now, it seems as though the competition has gotten fiercer and the number of 20 man alliances have grown. What might have worked before may not work the same for the near future. We want everyone to have a good balance with this game, but let's be real, we all want to be a top 100 alliance for those covers.

With that, what does everyone feel about the following?

    1. Being active. This doesn't necessarily mean be a daily player, but it means putting up your fair share of points in each event. We recognize that it may not be possible to play or place well in every event - life happens and the scale wall is real. But I think we want to avoid having players consistently placing low. I think we should have every member try for at least 500 points. This should ensure we place in the top 100 (but I'm not positive anymore!). We hate booting members, and we will make every effort to avoid this, but we still need to reserve the right if someone is not pulling weight on a consistent basis.

    2. Chatting once in a while. It's nice to hear from everyone, either on the forum, or in the in-game-chat. It shows us you are still interested in the game and its nice to be social with the group.

    3. Taking breaks. We understand. We have an exceptional circumstance right now (we're still with you Marc!). If the game is getting to you, let us know. Maybe we can replace you temporarily with another active mercenary and let you back in when you're ready to pick up the game again. I dunno how this would work with season points totals, but we can figure it out.

We know this game has become a chore now, and the grumbling all over the forums is a testament to the state of the game. Your sanity counts for a lot!

    Any other points to add?
  • Well said... and I agree with the points. Active player is pretty easy to keep up based on most of our performance so far with a few exceptions (dirty cancer and over watchful nurses are such a bar to high pvp scores!).

That said, for me, the biggest thing you can do is keep in communication. Speak up... this whole thing was started on a goof and has ended up being a good social group, so keep in touch. Cause we love your iso... er you. We love you. It has nothing to do with the iso... nothing...

Agreed on all three points, and I'd like to add a little about how I view some of these:

    1. I like that you said "try" for 500. I don't want anyone thinking they're going to get kicked out the first time they end up with only 486 points. My Black Panther is so weak that it's going to be really hard for me to make 500 in the current event myself. I don't expect (or want) us to start performance spreadsheets, but it's the overall trend we should be concerned with.

    2. (nothing to add here)

    3. If you have to take a break, please post here in the thread in addition to any mention of it in game chat. Chat history rolls off pretty fast, so something you say there may not be seen or remembered a day or three later.

(4?) And just a reiteration of something we've discussed before, Facebook sharing. Some alliance members have friended each other on Facebook to keep most of the FB reward sharing in the alliance. This is not required of alliance members. Not everyone plays on mobile, and not everyone uses Facebook. But if you want to do so, you can share your Facebook info here or in the game.

    edit to add:

    (5) You should probably subscribe to this thread on the forum, so you don't miss updates.
