  • I am currently still running a 3/5/5 build even though 5/3/5 is better if you have cMags with 5 blue. If cMags finally gets nerfed, 3/5/5 may be the way to go so you can better control the damage.

Depends on who you are going to run him with I guess, because for BTI to do good damage, you have to pair him with characters that don't cover Patch's tiles, which usually means you have to keep them lower level. If you are going to use spidey, might as well go 4/4/5.

Really depends on how you plan to use hi4-5

3 green is easier to mitigate damage to your own team when you're on offense. The 5 red can be the second best damage ability in the game behind translocation. Especially if an opposing Spidey lends a hand. Or web.

5 green doubles the tiles of 3 green and on defense maximum damage to your opponent is the order of the day. At 14 ap, red is very slow

I would never do a 4-4 split. Green strike tile progression is 3-4-6. Red damage increases by over 50% going 4-5.
  • If the choice is 4/4/5 vs 3/5/5, then it's probably true that 3/5/5 is superior. 4 in green only gives you 1 more strike tile, which is like 150ish damage per match at 141. It might let you kill things maybe 30 seconds faster, if even that. Most of the time by the time I use Berserker Rage the match is pretty much decided, because I don't want to use it mid-match and take tons of extra damage. Even with 3 enemy strike tiles sometimes when I'm forced to BR early (pesky OBW has enough to recon next turn...) I end up taking a bunch of damage and might possibly even wipe.

I guess the question is whether you think shaving off a few seconds per match is worth the increased risk of wiping your team. BTI at 5 is a total monster that just erases any character, including Lazy Thor, and 14 red is surprisingly easy to come by when you consider it just totally kills off the biggest character on the other team.

If you're talking 5/3/5 then that would be another story, personally I wouldn't do it but it's actually easier to clear the enemy strike tiles when you plonk down 6 rather than 3 since they are more likely to be clustered together.

    Whoo, back from disneyland!

Man, catching up on this PvE is so harsh. I'm like 4000 points away from the top spots, and all my nodes are in the double digits :[

It feels like I should not waste my time. Missing one day in PvE seems to be a forfeit these days.

Welcome back! Disney is always a fun/annoying time all at once.

As for the PVE catch up, I hear ya there. I missed resets during the Falcon PVE...at least I think that was the one over Easter. Missing a few resets made it get difficult to make up ground. I was shooting for top 50 and couldn't get enough points to get back there.

This is the final week of season 1 as well, so I imagine things are going to heat up. And we have this glorious subplot of the Hatfield's and McCoy's...I mean x-men and 5 deadly whatevers.
  • Welcome back, Katai. You survived the long lines in Disneyland. I've heard that some popular rides have 4 hr queues!

What position are you at for the PVE? As long as you grind more than the guys on top, you can probably still catch up for at least a cover I think. Many people seem to be easing off, either because of the weekday or scaling caught up with them. I'm clearing sort of one refresh a day, though in 2 separate sessions, 3 nodes at night and 3 nodes in the morning and 3 that I do not touch at all because the points are so low. Each node I do 2 times (occasionally 3). Separating into 2 sessions means I can health pack my dead/critically wounded instead of having to prologue heal. I've been creeping into top 10 gradually.

Oh and in case you missed it, brackets of death seems to be the norm now which translates to a big pain though no one is sure how exactly they've changed bracketing.

Lines never hit 4-hours, but a lot of rides kept breaking down or were out of commission. It's a Small World, Pirates of the Carribean, Indiana Jones, Finding Nemo Submarine, and Grizzly Rapids were all down for refurbishment. The others were up and down on a mostly random interval...

Anyway... I was rank 80 as of last night. Really trying to get both Daken Covers, but spending hours grinding doesn't seem to be helping. It's not like I have any trouble killing anything (Maxed Patch, Modern Storm, and a mostly leveled Psylocke helps). They just give me nothing for points.
  • I think it's the same for everyone. There is almost no rubberbanding when you are within 3k pts of your sub leader I think. Most of the time I'm doing base points of 200-300 a piece...I guess it doesn't help if the leader has stopped grinding too. But you never know, when/if the main nodes open up, you might have a better chance since that will rubberband off the main global leader.

You need the sub to close out (at a good time) so you can 'bank' your progress and start moving ahead again. It will be easier for you to make up ground the more subs they run.
  • So what next? I've really got to start building up a 3* A-team here. Out of the high tier 3* chars, this is what I've got. I feel pretty **** with Patch and Hood so uncovered, is it worth it to invest in a cMags cover or two and try a Punisher/cMags team? Or would you try something else?

    Punisher 105 3/5/5
    LazyThor 105 1/5/4
    LazyCap 102 3/5/5
    cMags 102 5/2/3
    Hulk 86 5/3/5
    Panther 69 4/4/2
    Spidey 64 4/2/0
    Patch 30 4/2/2
    Hood 30 4/1/1
    LazyDaken 0 0/0/0 icon_e_wink.gif

Punisher is a good choice to max out. He's not the scariest opponent but he's effective even if he's your only damage dealer.

I'd also keep putting ISO into LazyThor as you get covers for him. A maxed LazyThor on the team will get you some skips.

LazyCap isn't the best for PvP, I think. Hulk is also just so-so, though he might start causing a lot more trouble on defense once Spidey is reworked.

I personally wouldn't buy any covers just yet. You have OBW almost completely covered and she'll work as a support until you can get more covers for Hood or cMags.

Punisher is everybody's surly friend in pvp. He can work well with pretty mch everyone. Not so Lazy Thor is quite fun at maxed covers and levels...I bought what I needed for him, I didn't want to wait to get 5 green. I think Steve! Can be great in pvp, but he himself is slow and needs paired with someone who has low cost attacks.
  • Yeah, Punisher is an obvious choice to invest iso into, but I'd like to give him a buddy as he levels so he doesn't tank 3 colors. My LazyCap and LazyThor are softcapped right now, and Retribution is good enough that I don't feel like bringing along LazyCap who will do nothing for me on defense. I guess I could level Hulk to 120-ish so I can keep his HP as low as possible while tanking green for Punisher at 141?

I have hulk at 120, I'll get back to you on this

Edit: hulk green at 120 is 59, punisher green at 141 is 60

Well, the specific level doesn't matter much - I think Punisher has green at 60 at 141 and Hulk hits green at 61 at level 124 - I'm just wondering if it's worth it since 141 Pun/105 LazyThor or 141 Pun/77 OBW are arguably more threatening than 141 Pun/1xx Hulk in the first place icon_e_smile.gif

edit: Why can't Anger activate at 1% health loss? For me that is, just me, not for anybody else

All of my events have been disappearing/reappearing all morning. Right now I only see the results for the Heroic and Loki events.

Still no client update available for Android...

I can't see Loki results now.

Dont worry we have a secret strategy for the next pvp. Its called the 13 Thor timing push. You build 13 thors then attack.

    Remember tanks beats no tanks.
