I shielded at 847 with a 25 point lead on 2nd. Hoping to win a couple defenses before it ends to widen the lead but just need to keep an eye on it. I'll try to skip some nodes to have a few fall back fights just in case its needed. Hoping to get my first 1st place in a tourney but we will see.

Not bad at all, I normally break 900 but I don't think I will this event. You may end up with more points than me...Cap is just so unimpressive without max covers. Good luck. Ill push in a bit, have several retals ready, probably need about a 700 to be clear so about standard.

I've been hovering at 505 for a few hours now. That's 21st place right now. Don't need the GSBW covers but I'll play some more rounds later on for points & ISO.

Damn, the person who was in second must have broke his shield and added 100 points to his score then shielded back up. Don't know if I should try and pass him and shield up or wait till the end and hope that I win enough defenses. So far I have won 2 defensive fights but they only gave me 1 point each. Currently at 849 and 1st is at 926. My nodes can give 26, 24, and 19. Probably can get 75 points from those 3 but that will only put me at 924-926 and then I have to hope for a good 4th and 5th node if I want to keep first and all without getting attacked while I am unshielded. What should I do???

Well, I'm not sure what to tell you, really -- I haven't really tried to go for first very much. But you may want to try and squeak by him towards the end of the event at this point. Can you queue up any higher point battles? The 26 and 24 are ok, but you should be able to do better than 19 -- even if you have to spend ISO to skip, if you can find a 30 point battle it'll be worth it.

If you are going to do it I would in the last 10-15 minutes and boost heavily to make sure you can win. Depends on how heavy hitting your team is, if you can kill fast with boosts then you can do it with less time. I believe your roster is pretty modest so 15 is probably what you'd need to work with. And at that point even if you are attacked you should still be top 10 so there's nothing to lose.

Saw you in my queue mags one of the scarier teams, I shielded up anyways even though I probably could have gone for 800+. 720 is fine don't care enough, in 3rd currently. Team is too vulnerable without a strong buffed char, people are bold.

Got up to 907 then thru up a shield ahead of 2nd by 70 points. Do not really need the wolvie cover but will sell it for ISO.

One of the only covers of any color that I am missing. I would have got it in this bracket if it wasn't for walkyourpath again, 2nd is a low 850. Not worth passing that guy when 3rd is the same reward as second. Keep ending up in his bracket and he keeps doing this push to 1.1k for the progression award. Going to be a while before I can do a good run for first again, my GSBW is pretty trash tier, going to be 2/2/3. Better than the 0/1/1 a week ago though.

So pushed to first and am sitting at 948 right now with my last shield up. Not as much of a lead as I want to take but I took to many hits while pushing past. Hopefully he tries to pass me and gets knocked back down or tries to late or what not. Wish me luck.

Also when you win first do you get the 2 covers for 2-5 and the same 2 covers for 6-10 and so on or do you only get 2 covers 2-50 and 1 cover from 51-200?

If I would have shielded in this event at the start I'd most likely be in first. I had reached closer to 600 the first night of the event, but I don't need any of the GSBW covers. The red X-Force cover is needed, but it's ok. I'd rather just collect the ISO and let the people that need those covers get them.

This was a very relaxing weekend of MPQ, and honestly, it was quite nice. But now it's time to pump ISO into GSBW and snipe teams.

Ehhhh...Well ill put ISO into GSBW for defensive purposes (At level 30 right now) but I don't know about sniping teams. Breaching 160k ISO.

Probably just run max cMag and Punisher again and I can use her abilities as much as I used Shieldbro's.

GL Alucard, earlier than I would have pushed because it is very likely your opponent who passed you recently is monitoring his status but maybe the zombies will get em if he decides to go for it. Regardless very respectable finish, thats my usual average point end total. Refresh the standings like an insane person in the last 10 minutes to see if he pushes, be prepared to react.

You just get the 2-5 prize and the #1 prize, so in the cap event your total prize (not counting alliance rewards) would be 3000 iso, 100 hp, Green BW, Red BW, and Red Wolvie

That's the plan Chimaera. I figured if I waited till the last 30 minutes that I would get pounded on even more. I will keep refreshing every few minutes just to see if anyone tries to come from one of the other spots but I don't have enough HP to shield up again so I have to make it count if I do take off my shields in the last few minutes

Congrats, Alcuard, but Chimaera's right, don't let your guard down. Also, hen you win you get the prizes for 1st and the prizes for 2-5, so you'd get one X-Force cover, one Green GSBW cover, and one Red GSBW cover.

Out of curiosity, do you remember which team you saw? I've been playing around with a few different combinations, trying Patch out instead of Punisher as my main damage dealer. I'm still not quite sure about Patch. When things go right, you can win very quickly. When things go wrong, they go really, really wrong. But it's kind of boring essentially playing with a 2-person team. Every once in a while I was able to use Cap's blue to good effect. Otherwise, he's just sat there.

I have a maxed GSBW so I should be able to have some fun in that tourney. She was one of the first 3*s I got covers for and I like her; her purple is great for making crit tiles and green is a great finisher.

I've been so bad about stockpiling ISO lately. There's always someone I want to level up and it takes a lot of ISO at the high levels.

I think it was a hood + x team, maybe punisher. Everyone was game at that point as I was using x3 blue boosts and just killing people with mags abilities, one guy didn't even get a turn. I only avoided teams with spidey as they will always retal against you and win, not that they are hard. At least I think it was your hood team, I scan team > name > fight or skip and was going very fast. Coulda been someone else.

I was running patch two days ago but switched to Punisher, he is much much better on defense. Hampered my ability to push today though. I had to use blue boosts to make sure I could kill fast without taking too much extraneous damage which means health packs. Could have done OBW+Punisher/Patch but those are the teams I always hit 100% of the time. I look for them in my queue so If i am looking to hit them, other top dogs obviously are.

Moral

Looks like Bacon Pants and I were in the same MMR again. Skipped you about 90 minutes from the end. The top 10 jumped 100 points into the 700s at the time I'm used to people getting stuck in quicksand. Jumped back in for one more fight and just made top 10.

My Psylocke is 2/2/5 so the black isn't needed but the rest is. One of my higher leveled 3* as well, at 89 from the simulator. Going to pump up GSBW as much as I can, I think about 66 maybe when the purple arrives. Just need a bracket that doesn't contain any hardcores, kind of want that blue IW.

So 2nd broke his shield with 6 minutes to go and won his/her first match to put him/her a couple points under me so I broke my shield with 4 minutes to go and won a fight checked the score and he/she was again just a few points behind me so I fought a second fight and waited to see what happened with the prizes. A few minutes later I got my first X-force red cover and 2 of the covers for GSBW.

Wife was getting cranky so I had to put the game down and go to bed so I didn't get to post the win. Ended the tourney with 987 or something like that.

At first tanking in shield training seemed to help but the last day or so I didn't see any difference even when I lost like 12-24 matches in a row with all the chars I wasn't using.
