  • Whew top 5 in First Avenger. Didn't feel like pushing for first so shielded with 8 hours left and managed to stay up there.

    This freaking red Iso event sucks balls. I'm so tired of fighting dark avengers. We really need some new villains.

    You could've hit me if you wanted. I was just collecting ISO in the event. I'll hop into the GSBW event after work. I'm hoping I have enough ISO to move her from 115 to 130.

    That got me thinking too...is there a page that details the ISO required per level?

    My GSBW has 10 covers which makes her pretty good as far as my 3*s go, but she's so hobbled with only 4 in green icon_cry.gif
  • I Google the ISO level wiki for MPQ when I want to know the appropriate ISO it takes to level. I think there's a thread on here somewhere that had the per level breakdown.

    Primed at 48k right above lazy hex.

    Brought GSBW to 64 even though I know she will be awful. More of a hp deterrent. Flush with ISO anyways.

    There's an ISO level calculator that someone created in google docs that I've been using:

    Iso/Level Calculator (Iso it takes to level a character to level X)

    Go to the "Copy of Calculators 1" sheet and enter your characters level and desired level and it'll tell you how much ISO you need to get there. Alternately, enter the iso you have and your character's current level and it'll tell you how high you can level them.

    Edit: Busy morning at work so aside from a couple of quick battles, I missed the window for the refresh in the ISO-8 tournament. I'm hoping rubberbanding will still catch me up tonight...

    Whoo, finished my grey widow and also picked up a black psylocke from a standard token.

    I have no idea where I'm gonna land in this PvE event, though. One or two battles take me from #200 to #20. If anyone else is slingshotting as hard as I am, then it's basically throwing a dice for who makes it into the top 50.

    Thanks for the info on the ISO calculator, that will help me out.

    I had training so I missed getting battles in before the refresh...I'll hit the nodes tonight and hope they rocket me back to a decent placement. This event has been incredibly strange.

    I think the nodes that are going to give me the most points might be to hard and I will probably get crushed trying them. But no pain no gain I guess.
  • I was able to push hard in the PvP yesterday and land top 5 placement again to get 2 more GSBW covers, plus 1 from our alliance, so my GSBW is now 4/3/4. Thanks a lot everyone. Good luck in the final stretch of the Human Torch Sweepstakes.

    What does everyone think of my signature? Too big? I'm experimenting. I just figured out how to use one today, so I'm sure it needs a bit of revision. Thanks!

    I like it.

    Red ISO will come down to how hard and well I can grind the Daken-Bullseye node. A number of times I had characters survive with under 100 health.

  • I'm in 210th place less than 3000 points behind first place. Pretty confident in a top fifty based on the ups and downs I've seen so far in the event but placings beyond that are going to be the biggest dice roll ever icon_question.gif
  • Ya I'm about there as well, we shall see. 74th atm and falling. Good to know almost every one of those people will not be in contention but there's still like another 500 possibles going to make a push in the last hour.

    I'm in 232nd place and about 5000 points back. Judging by the points on the nodes I should be able to catch up, though.
  • Should be fairly easy. In fact I believe if everyone pushes we could still make the top reward but not sure we can get there. Stupid tourney but thats how it is.

    Looks good max, bit big for me, but I think my sig is big so take what you want from that. It is a very attractive picture when I looked up the name. I like the font.

    I was going to check what place I am in but I see there is an update to download. I'm interested in seeing how everything work with this new update.

    Chimaera, I had been messing around with different sigs...animated, not animated, just words no logo ect ect. I got tired of messing around with them and settled with yours, it's simple, too the point, and not too big.

    And that ISO calculator is awesome!! Thank you for the link. It's going to cost me 61610 ISO to max out GSBW.

  • Ya I read that, it actually has almost zero effect on my play style. I usually hammer the blues and spam Mags red and rank purple very low on the match priority. Most of the time when I use it in the event patches fun tiles are down and someone dies anyways.

    This will affect my GSBW event team though, partially. Still have Punisher fun tiles for that but not always.

    I guess this is in regards to Magneto's purple ability? I don't have any covers for his purple so I've never used it. I know that when I see the opponent use it that I am losing a team member 95% of the time. I assume this is lessening his damage dealt?

    Yeah.

    Mag's purple:
    Magnetic Translocation - Purple 10 AP
    Exploiting metals buried in the earth, Magneto lifts and moves huge sections of the battlefield, dropping them violently. Swaps up to 5 random Blue tiles with Red tiles. Does 38 damage for each swap.
    Level 5: Swaps up to 13 tiles. Max damage 636 per swap.

    Previously, all it counted was the number of blue tiles on the board - so 13 blue tiles and 5 red tiles meant 636x13 damage. Now, it actually counts the swaps - so 13 blue tiles and 5 red tiles means 636x5 damage. You can still potentially deal just as much damage, but most of the time you'll do much less than you used to.

    Like Chimera says, even though it was (maybe still is?) a big-damage ability, it wasn't what makes Mags busted, so it's not THAT big a deal, but it's certainly something that's good to know before you try to kill a lvl 230 goon and whiff icon_razz.gif

    Before the ability might as well have been 10AP to kill the selected character. It's a good tweak to match how the ability read as opposed to how it was implemented.
