Welcome to the new folks.

I just entered the Best There Is tourney, the only word that comes to mind is OMG. My Patch is buffed to Level 280, his green deals 3.5k damage and he heals for over 700 each turn. This will be a massacre. I don't know who else is in my bracket though, knowing my usual luck at least two S.H.I.E.L.D. guys.

I also just won a Hood Lightning Round, geez that was intensive as ****. I had shielded up at 500 15 minutes before the end but I saw someone from FittedKitchens in 3rd closing fast so I had to go on. I was terrified the whole time of retaliations, a single one and I would have kicked out of Top2 with no chance to come back. But luckily people left me alone and I won with less than 10 points lead on 3rd place My Hood is now 3/5/5 and I still have the 130 day reward (yellow) coming up next week. Excellent

LRs are fun. It's all about how fast you can win matches and if you're going for top 2 then you don't want to shield. It's great if you can get one of the other 2 top people as an opponent. Just save that one for the last 2 minutes and ride it to victory.

You'll get a 20% drop in black damage each time when respecing from black to yellow but it's well worth it to have 5 yellow.

Wow! You guys have got some beast decks! I'm completely in no-mans land at the moment. I've ditched covers and realised outside of my top 4 characters my deck is relatively pointless! As soon as OBW is downed I fall to pieces. Thor eventually gets destroyed and Wolverine follows. Storm at best lasts two rounds with my 2* Mag. LR I'm getting matched up against 3* lvl 141's as soon as I hit 100pts so I can't see anyway of achieving doom, Loki, mags or rag covers. I could really do with hood covers but same problem. Now with new covers means less chance of pulling cards I need too. All very frustrating. I'm going to focus on getting ares and storm maxed. I almost feel like ditching my inv. woman and x-wolv! When am I ever going to finish them!!!?! My X-wolv and patch are too weak for tourney. In fact 4* and 3*cards seem relatively pointless until you have the covers. I honestly can't say any I have now are as useful as my Thor/Wolv/Obw. And I've got a roster of 25! This wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't battling the same combination or better again and again.

On a lighter note. We're doing well in the pve! Is this the calm before the storm? I'm top 50 and I've got hardly any pts (16k). Is everyone holding back? I'm wasting time battling for 50-200pts atm

If you see Level141 enemies in PvP you need to tank ASAP. Check out this thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3759

As for scores in PvE being lower than what you are used to, that's because the global Top players aren't that far ahead of you, so there is little rubber-banding. Last I checked we were #11 in global alliance ranking, so we must be doing it right.

As for your roster situation: Ha, even I still don't have a single Invisible Woman cover. It is likely that you'll never get to actually use her, but I still wouldn't trash her, because if you DO after all you'll kill yourself if you sold it.
I'm pretty sure all your problems come from lack of tanking. FOcus on getting OBW and Thor/Storm to 85, then you can get 3* covers from PvP tourneys again. You are correct that the 3* champs are bad until you have all the covers. They get HUGE usatility boosts from having 5 covers of a color. Patch for example always heals every turn with 5 yellow, Punisher's Green makes 3 instead of 2 strike tiles and so on. They also need Level 100 before they are about the same strength as a 2* with Level 85. So for a long time your current 2* chars will still be the most important. There is no use trying to skip right to 3*s, it just doesn't work.

Thx. Great advice! I had literally just read a thread about tanking. I'll check yours out now. I just went to shields and retreated with last 9 characters on roster. LR round got to 200pts fighting lvl 1 characters! Pity team was down. I could have gone for mags!

I agree on 4*. I just can't dump either. However, I'm sure I read somewhere that x-wolv is underpowered. Is that true? Also, with rate they're churning characters out won't these cards become obsolete before anyone (of our lvl) ever build them?

Ha! I can't even manage that. Glad I posted anyway. I was starting to think all I do is moan at my bad luck but turns out it's not bad luck just CPU trying to ruin my win streak.

1st in PvE at time of refresh. This one seems really easy.

You want to keep retreating with whoever you don't use twice a day. I have a maxed 3* team and go up against 1*s early on in tournaments. Above 500 you start seeing maxed 2*s and it gets worse the higher you go but it's still worth it to have an easy start.

Well I have 3 fully decked out 3*s and two close to it, and I only have 1 single 4* cover in total. But fortunately, for now 4* characters are completely irrelevant to the game, you can just ignore them. They are just for collecting purposes and rarity. There was the announcement that X-Wolverine will get buffed, but that was in the same announcement that said Spiderman and Magneto would be nerfed, many months ago. If you just look at X-Wolvie's abilities you'll see that Patch is much better based on his healing alone. Patch with 5 yellow just heals constantly, while 4* needs countdown tiles which the enemies can remove. I mean sure if you put 241 levels into a 4* Wolvie he'll be pretty solid based on level alone, but is it worth the effort? Hell no. And Invisible Woman is commonly called Bag Woman, need I say more...

But I'm sure they'll release an overpowered 4* eventually just to get the Wales to buy 20k HP to be the first to have them maxed out. BUt even if that happens, it doesn't have to concern us normal players. It's not like any battles are unwinnable with the current characters we have.

Hi ^^, I been looking for a good alliance to join and once I saw your alliance was named Batman Inc I knew it was the alliance I'm meant to be in. Ever since I was young from watching the old batman cartoons from WB and then Justice league, Batman has always been my favorite super hero. I wanted to contact you sooner but had problems getting my account activated to use the forums and finally found a way to contact an admin to fix the problem for me. Anyways I guess here is my resume for the game -lol-. Been playing 5months now since the beta came out on steam and I am still hooked and play way too much and spend way too much time in this game, 604 hours under my belt and still counting -lol-. I'm pretty proud of my roster for now even though I know there is still tons of room for improvment. I'm pretty much just collecting all the characters which is part of the fun for me. I have all the 1* and 2*'s for every character and they are maxed out on cards, just don't have enough iso to lvl everything I want since I'm working on maxing all my 3*'s which of course is more important.

Heres a list of my 3*'s of what lvl there at right now and what lvl they can reach for now with more iso.
Punisher: 135-141
Spiderman: 70-115
Thor: 66-66
Hulk: 64-89
Psylocke: 60-92
Magneto: 55-115
Doctor Doom: 46-66
Iron Man: 30-102
and 7 others not worth mentioning for now till I get more lvl's on them, I do good in tournaments on my own to win cards, its just always a constant struggle for more ISO for me

Edited: forgot to write I had started my own alliance for fun when alliances first came out so if you do a search of alliance: power lvl 9000, in game thats where you can see my roster. It will be nice feeling/fun feeling knowing that I have other brothers and sisters on here that all love the game as much as I do and are striving to unlock new cards and get higher lvl in the game to help our alliance. Just the thought of not doing this alone anymore and being apart of a fun group/strong group doing this together, learning new tips and advice from each other and then seeing how high we can rank in tournaments as an alliance is already making me itch with excitement and makes me want to puzzle battle even harder -lol-. Anyways thankyou for your time, I hope I will be able to join you guys ^^.

It will also have a way to check scores. Which means now ppl can look at my scores of zero for extended periods of time, wondering if he is actually planning on playing event, if they should kick him because he stopped playing, and maybe they just dislike the cut of his jib. I am tired and I know there are too many commas back there and I didn't finish my sentence...but the point is that I just haven't started. Aka, I love rubberbanding. I suspect others on the top few ranks do too though, so expect some of those scores to get juiced the last day or two.

As an aside, still haven't started the pve (or the PvP but I always start those pretty late),. So you can expect to see some boosts to the point score at some point therefore. I was planning on tanking that last PvP (been lazy with lr..mmr too high right now for my liking) but noticed we were outside top 100 so I quickly pushed to 700+ In the last hour or two. Glad to see it was enough.

Hey, guys. Thanks for info on tanking. I was tearing my hair out in last pvp against lvl 141 punishers and spiders!. I basically killed my whole roster before I slept. I woke up and hit 450pts on best there is....fighting iron man/storm and 2* black widow! Result. Now to do same before final push and I should be back hitting top 10.

Also- thx for info on wolv and inv. woman. I got lucky (sort of) and pulled them from card packs. Absolutely no skl involved! I say sort of because they left me in a predicament on what to add to my roster. Ultimately sacrificed 50% built moonstone, cap 2* and daken to fit the two of them and new cap for event. Probably going to have same dilemma when Johnny storm gets here! I have hulk on standby and absolutely kicking myself because I could have 4+ covers but I've sacrificed him at various times for other cards and once because no hp

. Is anyone building the new cap or intending on building human torch? I heard a new daken was coming? I'm actually most upset I sold my 2* daken. I really like his green match power. I ultimately sold him because I didn't have him maxed for two strike tile atk. I was thinking how good would he be matched with hulks black power!

I'm not sure whether to dump cap. I never really liked old card and only added him this time for event. So far good choice because were ranking well.

What's everyone's thoughts on him and new card?
