Put up final shield for The Hood @ 712. I could have gone a bit higher but I hope it'll be enough for Top10 (currently 3rd, 10th on 580 something). I need to tank my MMR back down, all my enemies hat 130+ Hoods plus the assorted triple digit 3* stuff, ran out of health packs.

where is everyone total points wise in the pve? i just hit 230K, hoping to reach the 250K mark for the large iso award before the end...really wish i had a lazy thor to tackle those required ones

Only have about 110k in PvE as I've been concentrating on the PvPs. I knew I wasn't getting top 75 and at that point I mostly did each mission once with some repeats of the top missions. Getting lazy cap from alliance reward and I only need him so as not to be locked out of missions.

Done with Hood tournament at 844 and only using a 3 hour shield. Walkyourpath crossed 1000.

How do I chip in the help the alliance if I want to? Can't see a way of transferring assets.

Good efforts on the events so far too. Looks like a decent finish for the alliance. Onwards and upwards.

I'm just shy of 210k for pve but can't see me clearing 250k which is a shame as it's 3am here now haha

Wow, just got torn a new one in that holy outlaw! I'd love to know how many points I earned and subsequently lost to other players. Not seen so many attacks! Think my tactics were all wrong. How do you guys normally approach pvp? I had in excess of 700pts went down to 300 and then messed up 6/7 times when going for final push in last couple of hrs. Obviously everyone wants those covers. Ended up bang on 25 with 600ish pts. Devastated! Feel like I've just wasted 2days of my life...lol.

I don't use shields cos I often need the hp to unlock players. At the moment I have bp, daredevil waiting for spaces. Not forgetting I'll need space for new cap....


Any advice guys?

Right now all you can do is by the whole spot. Hopefully in the next patch they'll add an option to pool resources together.

The only advice really is to
a. tank
b. use shields.

The addition of shields had both positive and negative effects. The positive effect is that you don't have to play at the end of the tournament. Then negative is that you'll get **** if you don't use shields. What happens is that at the end most people in top spots use shields so there are not many targets to hit and matchmaking keeps serving you up to tons of players. Also some people with decent rosters join right at the end and treat the tournament like lightning rounds. The bad part of that is that they hit you for a lot of points.

My suggestions is that you drop some 2*s that you don't use instead of buying roster slots. They are pretty easy to collect again once you get further up the food chain. Aim to finish your run with just under 8 hours left and put up an 8 hour shield. If I'm going for a 1st place finish I usually put up a shield with 16 hours to go and line up some nice targets then hit 2 of them and re-shield with 8 hours to go. That gets expensive though so I don't do it for every event.

Before shields I invested heavily in boosts at the ends of tournaments but I don't know if that's still a viable strategy after they increased the boost costs.

Yeah, I'm trying not to spend real cash on the game! I nearly forked out £13.99 for 3000 (or whatever it is now) hp. But I'm really against it. You do suffer.... but I get enjoyment out of beating the developers. Haha! There is always a way. I actually earned money playing one game. They've got this game pretty sussed though. I wasn't sure I'd like it but I'm completely hooked.

Your advice is good but I can't bear to discard cards either! I still use my 1* for tourneys. I've been doing well going for 3-500pts early for rewards (esp. Hp but they seem to have removed these or put them at higher pts for pvp since alliance rewards came in) then doing what you said, treating it like a lightning rnd when there are loads of pts and going hard late on using revives/boosts/etc. I think I went to early this time and also wasn't concentrating. First 2/3 games this morning I lost my whole team twice! Think I blew 10 revives! How much are revives? I've always had in stock but now only have 6.

With regards to pve question, I'm only on 120k total! Haven't had cards for bonus missions and last rnd started against bots that were lvl145 plus was focusing on pvp. I'm going to aim for top 25 in both sim of lst rnd but doubt I'll make it or stay there come last hrs

You can get away with just using 1 shield per tournament, then you still make a net gain of HP if you score high enough (Top25 or Top10, don't have the game open right now).

My strategy is this: At first, only push to 400 or 500. Depending on your roster you might have to stop sooner or later. With my 141 Patch and 100 Mags I usually only get hit once or twice over night if I stop at 400-500. Now, before the event ends do your final push as high as you can and then immediately afterwards put on a shield that stays until the end. For me most events end in the night, so I have to use the 8 hour shield. So if you are going to use an 8 hour shield, start pushing 9 or 8 hours before the end so that shield is enough! An 8 hour shield costs 150HP, you get 100Hp for a top 25 or top 10, 50HP from reaching 500 points and sometimes a bonus from Alliance rewards. So at the worst you break even. That way you don't have to spend any HP. I make enough to be able to afford a new slot for each new champ while always using 1 shield per tournament. If you can wait until the final 3 hours and use the smallest shield, you'll even make a big net gain. I've only bought the smallest HP pack once when I was starting out to get a bunch of early starting roster slots, never again after that.

But without using a shield at all it's very very hard to stay Top25. You need a maxed out roster that no one wants to attack as a deterrent to get by without shields.

I agree with KaioShin and Iron Batman. I try to get about halfway the first two days, and then make a push at the end where I can shield during the last 8 hours. May depend a little on your timezone. Not sure. But I got tired of losing 300 points while I slept..

Well finished top 75 in simulator. None of the rounds finished at a good time for me. I was hoping to stay top 50 but must have come up short.

I've been looking for an active alliance as a always get into the top 20 and 10 but my recent alliance was not as active as me. I finished at the top ten in the captain America story with out an alliance to support me I believe I can help a lot.

Did he split or did he accidentally leave? I often have to remember the damn LEAVE button is right where it is. The times I almost accidentally pressed it are too numerous to count and I always have to remember to be careful where I press on the Alliance page. It's so easy to press the LEAVE button by accident.

Yeah, I also worry about accidentally leaving the alliance. I'm curious if there is a confirmation dialog.

Thank god another PvE event and lightning rounds! I was so damn bored. I dont like the look of Human Torch much so far, but I could definitely use the iso and I like the look of the progression rewards. I have 11 BP covers atm after that hood tourney and he's currently level 110. I really wanted to max him, even bought two covers for him, but I reeeeally want to see what Gold Daken looks like. If he's amazing im just going to try and max out my psylocke and pair them together. If not I still might go for a BP Daken pairing. Ooh and the event's only 6 days too, that 9 day event really wore me down x.x
