For my team member, i will stay the same. Not so hardcore, not so casual. Happay gaming everyone. icon_e_wink.gif
  • did anyone stay for the post-credit scene?

    EN SABAH NUR!
  • Kc, for me this is the best x-men movie ever. My wife even wants to watch the entire x-men movie because of this.

Of course i would say i want more action sequences, but we know that's not gonna happen. The amount of story telling and action in the movie was just the right amount.

and aeijei, yeah i stayed for post credit scene and i don't know who is that kid???

Heh... here's something for those to recap the X-Men series

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhkJ77mJr28. No spoilers... just the main plot points of all previous films, in a more linear narrative.
  • I just don't know if they'll show how the young En Sabah Nur will turn into modern Apocalypse. It's going to be interesting to see lots of mutants fighting off when X-men encounters Apocalypse + Four Horsemen. Hopefully there will be more.

Hey guys - are you having trouble with Prodigal Sun? Are your points adding up (if you are playing)? Can you access the leaderboard?

Games to play when not playing MPQ:

Last of us: ok I started this when I was bored out of my skull in Jakarta a few weeks back. The PS3 is quite portable and the proliferation of LCD TVs and hence HDMI ports are excellent for console gaming on the go. Seems like quite a decent game - but really ridiculous loading times and the stupid PS3 dualshock controller and control scheme really annoy me. I leant more towards the 360 in the previous gen and till today prefer it to the PS3. Anyway Last of US, does it improve? So far it's been quite a dull stealth em up but all the reviews raved about it when it was released. Should I push on?

I loved TLoS, even though I agree that the DS3 feels like it was designed by people who are unfamiliar with the concept of "hands," whereas the 360 controller was molded by kindly demigods out of divine clay. I'm a big fan of Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed, and I thought TLoS was head-and-shoulders above those two in terms of cinematic feel, yet still had a pretty dialed-in control scheme for the feel that the game was going for. That said, approach TLoS more as a plot-driven game with a strong stealth-action component, instead of a straight-up stealth-action game. The protagonists' lack of Rambo strength is part of the game's ambience.

    P.S. - Yep, I iz teh lurkerrr.

Welcome to the "A-Force Alliance Chat (Full)" thread!

One thing that's detracting from my enjoyment of the game I must admit, is a bad habit I've picked up from being an achievement **** on x360. While I'm not invested in the PS trophy system, I can't stop myself from looking in every single nook and corner for a note/dogtag/comic book or whatever - which is not very survival horror/stealth-em-uppy.

Funny thing about your comment re Rambo, while he may not be able to handle a clicker sans shank and multivits, his kill count 25% through the game is rapidly approaching the killcount in the Rambo trilogy. I quite liked the fact that in a game like deus ex, you could go through the game without killing anyone whereas this is game appears to be suffering from tomb raider rebootitis which makes a comment about the loss of innocence and then Lara Croft goes on to slaughter a whole battalion..

Same. Starting out, I had to consciously not do that in TLoS, but then I got fairly engrossed in the story, but YMMV. I played TLoS well into my transition from FPSes (COD, Battlefield, more COD) to stealth action/action RPGs (Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect), though, so at least I wasn't reflexively trying to shoot everyone in sight. icon_lol.gif

Hehehe, yeah, come to think of it, there is quite a bit of shivving in this game. I guess it feels less Rambo-esque due to the stealth emphasis, the fact that enemies basically give you one-hit KOs, and the weapon crafting.

The original Deux Ex was great, though with the experience of playing 10 years of action RPGs since it came out, it likely would've benefited from third-person perspective. DX:HR was disappointing, even though I was impressed that they used native/semi-native Chinese speakers to voice NPCs in Shanghai.
  • I played TLOS for maybe 10-20 hours? It was great and but then, i got my PS4, 3DS and couple of other gadgets. Never got back to TLOS again. I heard so much about the story that I will go back and play it, I promise... one day...

And I never had any problems with the DS3, I wonder why people always complained about that.

MAYBE YOU HAVE BABY HANDS! [fanboi rant /off]

Another game that I'm really having trouble getting back into is dark souls 2. Look, I'm supposedly a hardcore gamer, 100 percenting the previous game, and after seeing my umpteenth 'you have died' - I decided to go match some gems and never went back to the game.
