I already dumped my ISO winnings into my 2/2/2 Captain America & he's almost level 45. I'm wondering what rewards will be in the BW tournament and if it'll buff all the BW's or only grey suit.

Well I won that fight and didn't get countered to my knowledge. Not sure how they allocate points if a fight was started before event end but finishes afterwards.

Sorry, I didn't check the boards until after the tournament ended. For the future, my rule of thumb is give yourself 4 minutes per match & uses boosts. Quick matches w a favorable board & heavy boosting should be 2-3 min while longer ones take 4-5min. So, take a guess how many wins you think you'll need to jump positions and calculate #games x 4 min/game. Also, you need to pray to Church of Patches that nobody will retaliate against you in this time period

I expect BW be exactly as BTI: same 3 nodes, 100% buff. Will be interesting too as on first run GS was not really widespread (at least at my mmr). Doubled OBW kinda ruled and was quite unkillable with the insane 6k health and 2k heals... Well, times changed since somewhat.

Yep, that's perfect time to put all boosts to use, especially the palette AP that will grow back right in next tournament anyway... With high points it's quite possible someone cached the retal for this same push -- but in this tournament it's really unlikely as it's useless if placed on bad node and good node is needed to play on.

So for this tournament I'd consider last 4 minutes pretty safe and free run -- if there's a problem just stall out past the end, if overtime then such is life.

2 matches/-8min means taking actual risk, but most people will probably play just one from cached pool.

As doubled boss with AP start can eliminate any 1 member by turn 3 usual scares will not work so well, so for this game forget the defense aspect and use the most offensive team and keep playing, may get more points even if got hit.

Well I did manage to win with my 933 had a 31 pt match queued up in case I saw second unshielded but he never did. Just need 3 blue bag lady covers now. I lost about 400 hp on this tourney though but not a bad price for 4 usable covers. Now I just need to grind a little more ISO to finish cap to 51. I spent all my winnings during the tourney on patch. I'm really bad at stockpiling ISO. Too many characters to level.

I kinda messed up myself towards the end there...the 31 point fight I saved was on the X-Force node, which I have only 1 cover for lol.

...I noticed of course when I went to snipe at the end and I switched to a good 21 point fight on the astonishing node, but still didn't know points don't count if a fight is finished after event end. I did put a bunch of boosts on real quick to win the fight. I lived and learned though and next time I will be ready to play it to get where I want to be. Thanks for the tips guys!

Lol same here. My Patch earned 31levels for the past 2-3days. And I can level Cap to 64 (got 1 cover from token), but have no ISO

I'll start FA tourney in 2hrs time though, so I expect the ISO flow will be fast.

Who do You plan to field in FA? I'm thinking OBW and Patch for quick matches, then at more competetive levels I'll switch OBW to Punisher (or Hulk).

In retrospect I might have been able to push a match or two more, maybe even to 900, but I couldn't risk getting dragged down by the zombie hoard and reshielding at the same points or a loss.

All in all, this was the most competitive tournament bracket I've been in in a very long time, if ever. The fact that four of us placed top 10 shows what a kickazz team we have.

I'm on my way for another - 759pts in First Avenger. I'll wait a bit, cos fighting those 8-12pts battles is not worth the nerves. I thought I'll be able to reach 800 then shield, but got hit for -40pts. won next match and called it a day. Shame, as 800pts means +1000 ISO, which would give my Cap +1 level. I'll get there anyway.

So far in first avenger I've been running hood and Thor. Not really sure who to run with at this point after so much high boosted char with dual supports recently. The incredibly ISO poor pve event hasn't made switching in new chars nearly as fun either. I would think about buying some cap covers but there is very little ISO or hp coming in atm.

Well I've swapped over to spidey and pun. Although I might try out the widow patch route too. My patch at 87 just feels like he needs 13-40 more levels though when he isn't buffed. Any thoughts on the red ISO seeming to speed up a bit or is that just me? Guess I'll run through some missions there and see if 20 mins can put me back into the top 10. Would be nice to grab that yellow xforce there but not really sure the best way to do that barring just boosting in the last hour of the event with patch.

I calculated there's a 5.8% chance of pulling 5 Captain covers if the chance to pull Captain is 25% per token like I suspected (previous distribution is something like 15%/5%/5%, but there are no other heroes to share the 3* drop in Shield of Justice).

I'm having a hard time forming a balanced team so I just did Magneto + Patch for the usual buzzsaw attack and not worry about defense. Problem is that since Captain is likely low level and a non contributing member at this point, if you got a support like Spiderman or The Hood you're depending on just one guy for your offense and that can be tricky against Spiderman.
