It's just amazing to me that the same people who designed/playtested early Ragnorak / CMags/ Spiderman etc. would also design Xforce Wolvy. Maybe they just ran out of time and said "screw it, we have months to fix him later".

My only guess would be that as we have seen with Captain America (and especially Thor), removing the cap of 85 and extending it to 141 makes a huge difference. I imagine X-Force is the same except it's from 141 to 230 which is an insane amount of iso! I do wonder if they will ever respec that since I'd much prefer any of the functional 3*s to the 4*s at this point given the AP cost difference. Also, given my highest leveled character is less than 100, I can't imagine leveling all the way to 230! icon_eek.gif

I've wondered that myself is the sweet spot for the 4*'s lvl 161? The answer I think is no because there are some who have these characters at those levels and if they were much better I think we'd know about it by now. The point Toxicadam makes is also a good one if either of the 4*'s was a game breaker it would severely unbalance the game.

Yay, Just added Joseph (NoMistake) back in!

Welcome back. Sorry that happened to you but at least you are home!
  • Thanks. Now i feel much better. Just levelled up The Hood. Very fun to play with spider and patch. I was thinking of making the most annoying defence team. IW + Hulk + Hood/OBW. High def high life and high protect from IW. Each move will be a measely 1 point damage. Ppl will give up against this team?

    NM
  • I'm kind of surprised our team score in the PvE is so low. It seems fairly easy to get 18k-20k points so far.

I think a few people are away on vacation, I remember someone mentioning that in an earlier post. All things considered, it's not that low, I'd be perfectly happy with the cover icon_e_biggrin.gif

Safe to say that would stop most people from attacking you, not worth the rage dealing with high HP and AP being stolen. How is your OBW specced? I think 3/5/5 is the best for annoying defenses.

I find BP/3* Thor/Hood is a good combo that gets me some surprise defensive wins. Generally, any damage dealer/tank + Hood + OBW would be good.

That's no excuse. I'm taking my Ipad to Ireland to sneak in random matches here and there. icon_e_smile.gif

Do the pubs and castles have Wifi?
  • Sorry boys haven't posted in awhile. Work has been busy.

Don't worry still find time to play though.

Sitting at 19k for PVE and around 500 The best there is or now. Not to worked up for a gold cap but what the hell.

But it is good to be back
  • Once again sorry I don't post a lot. I'm at 22k right now in the PvE. I've been wondering if the point value will go up cause it's about halfway through the tournament and not having half the prizes makes me kinda nervous. About to start TBTI PvP. I know it's a late start but I should put up a good amount of points for us though. Let me know if it bothers anyone that I'm not a frequent poster.

Sitting on 21k for PVE event, but only on #14. Looks like if you want to get Top 10, you need to be playing in the last hour.

Shielded at 910 for Best There is, so go ahead and hit me if you want.

    248 Patch/131 BP/125 Hood though, so I might not be a juicy target icon_lol.gif
  • Hi all, what the rule about hitting own alluance member? I think i hit mad thanos a couple of times... LordWill, your take on this?
  • Hi all,

1 question, do anyone of you skip multiple enemies in PVP tournaments? Kept skipping till paying 10 iso per skip?

You son of a B. It was you wasn't it hitting me back after I attacked you. Hahaha. No worries. I don't even look at names when I attack but that is something I might want to start doing. Shielded right now at around 700 since fridays is meetings day so want to at least contribute to our total points.
  • I shielded up at 630. If you see me, hit me. I won't be making another push until 3 hrs left.

Playing with a buffed Patch is great. I was able to grind through 630 points in about 35 minutes. The only downside was having to play in the city environment. icon_neutral.gif

Well I am guilty of not looking at the names either. I mostly just look at the points and skip or play based on that. If I have attacked anyone in out alliance by accident, I'm sorry!

I think we should try and not attack each other unless they are shielded so it doesn't screw anyone over. That being said, accidents happen.

I wish they would make our own members a different color so we could see at a glance it was an alliance member in the matchup screen. Maybe in Patch R51 icon_e_smile.gif

I tend to skip a lot. My thinking is, if I attack a lot of people for 15-19 points, if they retaliate then they are going to win 25-30 points off me which sucks. I don't mind if they do it while I am shielded but I would rather face 4 people at 25 points each. I skip til I find good points so sometimes I might pay 30-40 ISO to get a good one. To me its not a huge deal. I tend to shield a lot during pvp because I look at it like even if I spend 1000 HP on shields and I get 3 covers, that's 333 per cover compared to paying 1250 for a power up, or 3800 on a hero pack, which you may not get any covers you want. So I have found, grinding up and shielding a lot during the way always gets me in the top 10.

    Providing some updates:

    - Unstable ISO-8: #1 with 25000 pts

My strategy: Nodes look to reset at noon. I wait 3hrs to let nodes get some value and hit most of them. I skip the meaningless ones though but hit the high value ones twice. I do the same thing around 11pm to ensure I get a full recharge on the nodes before they go away the next day. Then the same thing at 11am to get them one last time with a full restack in place. I might even wait until 11:30am to ensure the nodes fully reset. And I always hit the highest value node first!

    - Best There Is: #137 with 231 (That's about to change though! icon_e_biggrin.gif )

I've been tanking Best There Is to this point. I'll be shooting for top 5. As far as attacking alliance members, I don't typically look at names. However, my roster is a bit behind most in the group, so if I did see you I'd either skip if it was your A-lineup or hit your tank team. So I figured it would work out naturally. I find best way to do PvP is wait a few hours before joining, rush to get to 300+ pts and tank. Occasionally surge to get back up to 300+ to tank again. Then watch the nodes queue up with people that are 200+ higher which means most matches will be worth ~30pts. Once I clear this then I'll skip around to get valuable matchups. I usually don't have to skip around too much though.'

    Best of luck to everyone!
  • Next question....

If u see an opponent in pvp for 5 points and another for 25 points, who do you go for?

I have develop a couple of theories regarding attacking ppl and not get retaliated (there are 3 reasons why they won't) during me asking these 2 questions. Worked for me during the defender tournament. I read other ppl forum and no one talked about it. Either they know and not talking or no one found out about it yet.

Now here is the $64,000 question, should i reveal it here? Could backfire on me if end up 1 of us ends up in same bracket and both use same strategy. And yes, there is a way to figure out if opponent is online too.

Well I think I'd have to go for 25. If you attack for 5, you're not getting much in return and in addition the person has a higher incentive to retaliate if you have the much more points, thus beginning the infinite retaliation loop which you will be on the losing end if you have more points.

I don't have $64K, but of course you should reveal your thoughts! icon_e_biggrin.gif We can all share our own theories and what we've tried and found to be successful vs failures.

I think I have cracked the code on scaling but I am not going to share it on an open forum. My opinion is if you have something of value wait until we have the R50 update and then you can let us know once that is in place. I plan on sharing what I think I've figured out with the rest of the alliance as soon as alliance chat is functional. Bottom line I don't get a 3X230 fight until the last day of these PvE events and haven't for the last three. Right now all of my missions read as "Easy or Trivial" after three clears. I think you can quite easily manipulate your PvE MMR so it never becomes a slog fest. I'll happily share once we can do it privately.
