Could someone explain to me how are people getting so many points? :S I did both brackets twice now (up to a point where a single node was not worth more then 50 points - so at least 3 replays of every node) and will have a third one before it shuts down, but some people already have absurd number of points and I cannot fathom how is that possible...

How many points do you have? I'm nearly done on my 2nd full run through both brackets, and I'm on around 18k points so far. The timing is bad for me so I can't manage 3 full refreshes, so I'm hoping rubberbanding will keep me in check with the leaders.
Sitting at 19.7 k atm - and am going to do a full cycle - even up to fully depleting nodes if I have the time - starting from 5 PM CET (this bracket ends at ~7 PM CET)
  • Are the sub events ending at a weird time for anyone else? Mine shows that it will end approx. 1:20PM EST.
I thought the PC's clock was messed so I checked online and it's true that the end time is not round. For me it's 8:20pm, but I'm not complaining. I'd take that any time instead of the the 7am.

Ok, I was going to ask about the time as well. That seems like such an odd number but whatever.

So am I correct in reading the announcement that these current tokens do not have the chance to get Hulk covers? It will only be the Gamma Bomb ones that appear when we open the Hulk recruit node. I honestly might just hold on to these and let them turn into heroic tokens if so. My Punisher is cover capped and even though Black Panther is pretty OP I don't really have much interest in playing him.

Scaling on this event seems worse than the last one icon_e_sad.gif
  • Soooo, refresh timer isn't 8 hours? I'm screwed this first round then.

It's been 8 hours for me.

Are you sure it's not 8.5 hours? My first mission is starting to gain points now, 20 minutes after the stack should be full. The original clear probably took 10 mins so would make it 8.5 hours after clearing to 1 point.

I suspect it's the total sub-event time divided by 3. Since these are slightly more than 24 hours, it'll be slightly more than 8 hours.
  • I can't remember how close to the reset I should be grinding down my refreshed stacks. I need to do something about 15 minutes before the end that should keep me busy, but I'm concerned that hitting my missions too early means I'll get leapfrogged for the top tokens hm.

Brilliant, it's amazing how you sometimes overlook the obvious. Also explains perfectly why the Nick Fury rescue section in the last event took 12 hours to refresh. Thanks for sharing, new rule of thumb committed to memory.
  • anyone confirm if you can lower the level of the computer by tanking matches? or is scaling strictly community based...
  • Oh man. I thought these subs ended at 12 PM EST and not 1:20 EST. That screwed up my whole refresh. Oh well.
  • When the mobs I was fighting jumped from 50 to 210(!) (I have one level 85 all are 50 or less....) by throwing the bottom 20 characters of my roster at ONE encounter, THAT ONE encounter dropped in level. All other ones stayed the same level. Kind of a bummer, as having things jump so dramatically ensure that all my characters die if even one Flamethrower goes off.

Wait, Hulk had a hard side and an easy side? I thought Sim was the first hard side easy side event.

People have taken to referring to the sub worth more points as the hard sub ever since the Sim event.

The old hulk opened subs in pairs one going 15->100 and other 70->230 opponents.
  • I'm already sick of grinding...

usually doesn't set in until day 4 or so.

not good for my top1000 chances.

How long did you wait after doing this? I just tried it and it didn't work. But the match was fantastic! It looked like I was using a marshmallow gun vs a nuclear detonation. I tried this on Nevada 1 vs lvl 97 goons.
  • Assuming that this current scoring system is like last time, the scores you can earn per battle increases as time goes on.

E.g Day 1 is 100 per stage, Day 6 is like 1000 per stage.

Along with rubberbanding, one only needs to grind during the last few days. Unless you want the Sub prizes.

I certainly wasn't clamouring for a return of the The Hulk event.

Everyone who's been whining lately about scaling wanted the Hulk. Here it is. The ultimate grind fest.

What's here is not what the whining was about, the very opposite. Infested by the same scaling cancer only few people seem to like.

And when I wanted it I meant with the Hulk prizes, not a new hero -- so it could be taken easy for just harvesting at leisure no problem if fell back somewhere.

The point structure is changed massively too, can't tell for better or worse but it used to be single points at start and mass at the end. For all practical purposes it is NOT the same event, not even similar just title and paint.

(With all that my main problem is the event timing.)
  • What happened to the Subevent rewards? Are they all Standard Recruit Tokens now???

Well, I just logged back into the game and loaded up Nevada, to my surprise, the first node goons jumped from 90L ones to 160L ones now. Confirmed all nodes across both Nevada and Canada did that same type of weird jump up. Definitely no chance. At least these two subs are about over now.
