Missing the new system already on pve

Don't like going back on schedule again. Was fun to play anytime without loss points!!. I bet I will get a lot of aggression from the usual T50 placement people but the remaining 950 are actually really happy if this new system is implemented anytime soon.

That level of scaling in a heroic would be pretty horrid. Especially since the available characters for this one are pretty meh.

6 clears per day instead of 3? Oh yeah, bring the new one back ¬¬
Sarcasm, devs. That was sarcasm. Definitely do not bring the new system back.

I like the new system too. I was top 20 just by getting all of the rewards (7 clears) over each leg of the event. I never had to do 6 clears a day.

Anyone happy with their placement during tests seems to be forgetting that if this is really the new system, the pve players who don't say "forget that" will just adapt to the new system. It's impossible to gauge how well you'd normally place in the new system based upon the tests without full implementation.

Do you undertand that if you play in the old system exactly as you play in the new system you will get the exact same results when not playing for top50 ?!?!? (so be top100, even get the 25 CPs most of the time)

Try in this event if you dont believe me. Play once when the sub starts and 4 or 5 times every node 2h before the end of the sub.

Oh, and now whith three easy nodes, and without the difficulty going up!

Ps: Man, you should think before you write...

....What? Do you mean 7 clears over the 48 hour sub node?

That pretty much summarizes what I do not like about the old (current) system. The timing and the monotony.

In addition, I could have easily been top 10 and without doing 6 clears at the beginning of the event. If I had felt like doing more than 7 clears, there were still plenty of points left without worrying about the timing at all.

Yes, I only did 7 clears each leg, including the 48hr portion. So in total 7 clears for each match over the 3 legs of the event.

at least you have 3 nodes that anyone on your roster can be used, 3 essentials that at least half or more of the roster can be used, and the 3 harder ones sometimes requires a specific team composition to do well. the new system requires the specific team composition on nearly every node, and clears take twice as long because of increased health you have to eat through. new one is much more monotonous to me.

try playing the old system the exact same way as you did the test and let me know how you end up. if you got all the nodes to green checks. do the same for the heroic and I bet you'll be happy with your placement.

I cannot imagine a heroic with the new system. <shudder>

So...you did 7 clears a day except for two days which were 3.5 clears, essentially.
That didn't feel like a lot of work?

I was enjoying the matches on this one, so that usually determines how much effort I will put in, except that I also need a lot of ISO (which is why I stop at 7). If I go to 7x during this one, I will report back though.

    "Only" 7 clears.

2 of the subs were 24hrs.

    24hrs = 1 day.

7 clears per sub to get all rewards = 7 clears per day (on 2 of the 3 subs) > 6 clears per day ... which you never had to do?

    Hmmm.

If a sub went from midnight to midnight I would agree, but normally even 24 hr subs go over two days (you sleep between them).

Edit: forgot to answer the other question, yes, I actually did enjoy it.

I don't like going back to pve on schedule again as well. However, I don't want to have to do 6-7 clears per node for rewards either. But I think the number of clears can be fixed after the scaling and difficulty are in place. I am not really an expert in software developing here but I think the underline problem is the devs were(?) trying to turn too many knobs at the same time.

I think everyone agrees on that one. I think they see all the knobs as interrelated though. because the default points after scaling is done is 20 pts, they didn't want any truly 'trivial' nodes that could just be continuously farmed for pts. all they have to do is make those diminish to 1 pt and let it go. the rest could still go to 20 and be fine with the old scaling. my essentials still made it to the mid-upper 200s and the harder ones made it into the 300s at the end of the grind anyway, but at least they'd start much more reasonable and not climb so fast.

You don't speak for me. I'm not a usual T50 placement and I want the old system to stay.

If you're not playing for T50, you'll get similar results in either system, playing when you want. You're blinded by the no point decay gimmick

I think someone who plays during lunch or sporadically whenever they have free time would do better in the new system. More importantly, they would probably have more fun because they can play the matches they like as many times as they want and still get full points for them.

The people who will definitely do better in the new system are the ones that can only play one time during the day but want to play the same match a few times in that limited time period.

Agree. Although, the "rewards' I mentioned in my original post I meant progression rewards. (Sorry for not making it clear earlier.) I don't remember the details how I did in EotS test, but I ended up with an estimation that I need to clear like 5 times each node to get the 25CP even with all 3 essentials which I don't always have in reality. That probably bumps the number up to 6 clears if I have only 2 essentials. I am aware and include the fact that points available per node increases in later subs and some one time nodes. That number freaked me out and made me dislike that test.

As for the current test, I don't think I can say anything since the rubberband is accidentally on. Plus, I ended up spending most of my time trying to get T50 in the pvp season (I think I am not in a vet bracket since only 6700 points total already give me T50.) and started working on the 25CP very late and I think I benefit from the rubberbanding a lot.
