Reporting folks:

Don't include the new "guaranteed rare" in the rare count; it will throw off the averages.

It IS probably worth mentioning if it was upgraded to a mythic, though, so we could theoretically get an idea of how often that happens - but I'm guessing the odds are so low and reporting so spotty we might never have a good idea. My guess is <1%.

i bought 19 packs since yesterday... a Big box and a fat pack, im really dissapointed in the cards i got (1 mythic, 4 rares, 1 dupe), i cant even try to make a deck with this cards.


And i dont want to be a pessimist, but 3 of those 4 rares i got are BAD which made me think: Have the devs lower the power of rares to increase the power of mythics? and considering that mythics are so hard to get is the idea that we need to work our as$es off to be able to build something decent?

In origin rares were great and mythics were bad. We didnt really CARED that much (besides the fact that we couldnt get them) because mythics were not so good and wanted mostly rare cards, but now if we dont want rares and we actually REALLY want mythics ... WE ARE SCREWED

I've been saving up my Origins packs in hopes I could transfer them to BfZ. Obviously that didn't work out so I opened them all up. These results include one BfZ 5-pack.

The tl;dr version is: in 6 different 5-packs, 2 fat packs, and 1 big box, I got zero rares and one mythic. That's 28 packs with no rares and 1 mythic. The one thing that worked out for me was that the Origins BB did include a bonus rare.

When I get more time I think I will try looking at only results from post 1.32 (i.e the last month). The results truly seem to be very bad in the last few weeks.

Obviously the sample sizes are still relatively small, but the total packs aren't bad: at least 55 of each type. I made no distinction between sources or expansion. Overall, the numbers are much worse than the 3/19 compilation.
