  • Yeah, the 1 am end times are not good for me, except in the sense they've gotten me to stop staying up until midnight. Not that it would have helped me in the last PVP. #5 was at 1321. I would have probably needed a minimum of 4 (probably more like 6) more hops for that, and it would have probably cost me less hp to just buy the cover.

I had a five hour energy for breakfast. Im so tired. Back to the cave for me (assuming someone approves Milkrain and I - LOL can't get in). I'll have to see what these new updates bring. Havent read much of the threads yet. I made the tough choice to sell off my 2* Captain America so that I can have space for the Capt Marvel covers. Hopefully I can bank more covers for him so I can sell her back off after these current events. So her yellow at min level gives red AP when she loses like 250 health, but that goes up with level - sort of like the Hulk. Word to the wise if you planned on putting ISO into leveling her that you can break that ability if leveled too high. Anyway, I hit 1000 last night on an event that I figured certainly was going to be intense- but it wasnt. I only got attacked 5 times total.

@Adam, I feel for ya. Those first few weeks are really nerve wrecking. We actually found that a recording of a vaccum cleaner put our son to sleep (white noise). My son also had a broken leg at birth (that we didnt catch on to until about the 6th day) so it was really exhausting. His first 8 weeks were in a cast.

I reached out to fedlex through, um, secondary means... I expect him to get the message soon. Maybe I should make an alt-account to stay in the Cave... just for the sake of coordination.

Dang, we lost agarber (ai1). Good luck, buddy.

When you wish upon a STARFALL!
It's over! We had a lot more vacations this weekend, but we managed rank 52 after all is said and done. A couple of risky hops toward the end though...
Also, we appreciate Mr. Clintman coming by to offer his merc services. We had an enjoyable evening of high society talk and we even kept the swear words down to a minimum.

Oh dear that is horrible User311.

When my second was born, the nurse kept insisting to the doctors that she heard a "snap". And they would not listen. Was not until another nurse examined her and the 3rd pediatrician checked properly that they noticed she had fractued/broken her clavicle. Apparently it's common and it's apparently common for them to miss it as well (at least here).

Sucked cause all he would do for the 2 days we were in the hospital was cry. All - the - time. We just thought he was hungry but he wouldnt really eat. Then at home I asked my wife why he wasnt kicking his leg and it was a tiny bit swollen. Took to ped. who told us to rush to hospital in case of infection. Took X-ray and there was a crack right below the knee. At least he got a cast. How do they treat a clavicle?

Just claimed my Season 4 Heroic 10 pack. It started out good with a green Johnny Zippo followed by a Green Lazy Thor, only to be followed by a bunch of old 2*s. In the end, one 3* out of the bunch and since I already have green covers maxed out for Johnny the rest went to ISO. Oh well. Maybe season 5's heroic 10 pack will bring me fortune. icon_cry.gif

    They don't...

They recommend Tylenol/Advil for the pain and tell you to wait it out. Usually takes a few weeks and than it heals itself.

Some doctors recommend pinning the arm (pin through Pyjamma arm to pyjamma body) to help ensure it does not move too much and when lifting/picking up the baby, to do so carefully as to not apply pressure in the arm pits thus causing more distress to the poor infant.

So, like you, lots of crying. Poor little guy, broken leg at birth. In french we say: "Il ne souviendra pas le jour de son marriage". I don't know what the equivalent would be in English, so it translates to: "He won't remember on his wedding day".

    Team Ups! Team Ups!
I'm too 'fraid to update just yet. What are y'alls impression?
  • They need to be made removable.

Also, some are going to be very useful without that being obvious, like Captain America abilities that can overwrite strike/CD/etc. tiles. Anything high-cost might be useless.
  • I've not looked at the general discussion yet but I HATE the Team-Up tiles. They look too much like crit tiles. I cannot get used to it.
I've not tried the team ups but I imagine that a one-time aggressive recon can be GOLD or even a well place widow sting on Hulk to prevent anger triggering. A well placed nuke ability could be good too.

I'm back briefly before heading off for another couple of days to Amsterdam. Should be fun.

It's nice to be in the cave and not worry about letting the alliance down.

EDIT: First three standard tokens I open up, since getting back - Wolvie, Blue Daken, Venom. Not a bad catch.

Welcome back. Cave is nice. Some shifting about but were still here. Its nice to use the PVE just to earn a few boosts here any there. Not going to grind it just to earn a **** token. I would really like an additional hood cover though.

Eh - Team Ups. Seemed convoluted in theory - now is convoluted in practice. I never expected to be able to use the prologue again but see that I can farm Rags and Venom TUs there & apparently waste off undersireable TUs. I figured I would have started with no teamups but I had a decent amount on the first battle. Excited I picked Moonstone (So excited - I never get to use her abilities) but I ( icon_twisted.gif ) didnt realize that the AP needed for TUs matched the regular AP needed for abilities. Thats stupid. Should be tiered like 3**s cost 12 AP 2**s cost 10, 1* costs 8.

I agree with you on the appearance being too similar to critical tiles. Personally I like the looks of the new team up tiles and would like to see the critical tiles reworked.

It's really early and time may change my opinion greatly, but so far I really like the team up feature. It adds a whole new layer of strategy to the game making the gameplay much deeper. Even after just 8 or 9 rounds I can already see one thing that people will want added though and that's the ability to see what team-ups your enemy has selected for the round.
  • You can see the team up covers your enemy has.
You just need to kow where to look, on a mobile device, select a toon you are fighting. And than use the arrows to scroll through them, and than TA-DA, oh damn... SuperNova (177), Devour (177), Godlike power (177)... This is going to hurt, really, really bad...

    Swim away, swim away...

    Edit:
You can only see them once the battle has started...

They don't all charge at the same rate. I'm not sure if it's based on the level of your team up, the normal AP cost for that ability, or both but it's not the same for each one.

Yeah, I was referring to before the battle starts.

One thing that bugs the **** out of me is that it doesn't carry over any of the selected team ups from battle to battle. I want them to remain populated unless one isn't available, then remove it. It going to slow down the battle process when you're shield hopping (especially since you can't manage their order or hide the ones you don't want to ever use) and I imagine a lot of the top tier players may skip using them completely due to this.

Edit: And there is a limit to how many you can have yet no way to manage them?!? Am I missing something here? If that's the case then it's only a matter of time before nobody is using team ups because their 20 team up slots are all filled up with Bag Man abilities. icon_lol.gif

They use the same amount of AP as the original ability - except in TUAP.

So, a GSBW sniper rifle will still cost you 19 TUAP.

They don't stack either. I managed to get 2 level 89 Headbutts, and they were side by side.
  • So I am pretty sure that I am over Team Ups already. My shield was expiring so I decided to break and play ONE match. I won 26 points and came out to this...

    FJQk0Rt.png

I am now back down under 600 again and re-shielded. ugh!!!
  • Shielding so early?

I got up to exactly 800 this morning. Collected my HP reward, and watched as I got smacked for more than 200. Shrugged it off and said, more ISO to collect. icon_e_smile.gif

I'll probably climb back to somewhere in the neighbourhood over 900 points tonight. Collect my token and leave it at that.

I expect to get smacked left and right, right back down to about 550 - 600 in the overnight. It's good for MMR apparently.
  • Yeah, I usually don't shield until about 12 hours left in the event.

I like the team-ups so far in general, but like all new major features will need some tweaking to get right. First off you need to be able to delete the **** ones from your inventory instead of being saddled with them forever and/or the option to not accept TUs that you are awarded.
