So here is something I "discovered" today.

I had no interest in the current PvE so I didn't enter it... until today, two days from the end. And for me this is the way to do it!

You get a soft bracket of somewhat lazy players and all the nodes are "super-charged".

Of course most progression rewards are out of my reach, but in one playthrough of the main event and the sub-event I'm close to 30K already. I'm currently 2nd in the sub and 17th in the main.

I'll probably get a hood cover, fingers crossed maybe even that blue. AND I might even reach the 40K progression token.

Most importantly, I only play two days of the event.

I'm holding onto mine for a while at the suggestion of someone else here. Waiting until they release some of the newer characters in packs

Well I hit 60k in the PvE and got the Cpt. Marvel cover. Since I don't need any Hood covers I'll probably putting minimal effort in for the next day and half of this event unless we're close to an alliance reward threshold and we need the points.

Looking forward to the Deadpool event starting Friday. I expect to see some of the strongest competition we've ever seen considering how popular the character is.

Not too terrible, better than my last pack, for sure. All my golds were for fully covered characters already but at least I got some golds.

edit: It was a bad ending. Rank 98 at 13,520. We still got the cover, but even for a mid-day ending, the Bears cut this one too close.

edit2: Special name drop to Fisben, who, despite the being the newest Bear, and already has a level 166 3/5/5 Patch, still rocked 800+ points to help the alliance get over the hump. That's the Stare!

I'd like to give a personal thanks to all of you bears that kept fighting to the very end to keep us in the Top 100. I've been waiting patiently for about a month for Patches to come back around so I could finally get the last 2 covers. And while 2 yellows were preferred so I could get to a 5/3/5, 1 yellow and 1 red would at least let me level him to his hard cap. With the lunch time ending I was only able to finish 14th collecting the red but not the yellow. We've only missed 1 Top 100 finish in either the PvE and PvP events in the 3 1/2 seasons I've been a bear and I really didn't want this one to be the 2nd. Your push at the end made the difference and earned that yellow Patch cover for us all. Thanks!!!

Stare!

Greetings all - even as the game evolves to pack in new features, so our alliance evolves as well. As you all saw in the past several weeks, Milkrain was kind enough to open the BearCave for Bear rest and relaxation. Our team continues to hit the top100 consistently, earning cover, HP, and ISO rewards for everyone. As one commander put it, we haven't really been a casual alliance for a long time. Aside from top100 in PVP/PVE, we secured all three Fury seasons... still without forum drama, score minimums, or roster minimums.

The balance, however, is that we want to continue to stay competitive without becoming absurdly hardcore. This is a call to stay in the top100... though if we slip into top50 (as we have occasionally), that's OK too. There are some Bears who joined, especially early on, under the casual umbrella and if they wish to continue as a casual player - they will be directed to the BearCave. As for the rest of us, let's continue competing and winning.

Good job abody - loving the bearnecesseties! I'm even trying to design a forum signature in CBS style, though my abilities in Paint or MS Word are pretty limited, much prefer spreadsheets!

Now to finish off this PVE high and get Deadpool in the next one!

I was goofing around with a generic one I made awhile back. Personally I like the happy-go-luck feel of the blood splattered one but that's just me. Feel free to take one if you want.
