What build are you running? It seems obvious to go 5/3/5 to me but I'm not sure how others feel.0 -

I'm definitely working towards 5/3/5, got her at 4/3/3 now thanks to three tourneys and a lucky token draw from PvE. Dumped my all my saved ISO into her and have her up to 102. The blue is a nice to have if you're not running Spidey (I wish you could choose the color you stole, then it would be sweet and worth the CD tile protection headache), but the damage increase for the other skills is just too good to pass up.
I run Patch/Spidey/Psy for most of my matches, then swap out Spidey for Hulk for my last match each play session for the defense. The funny thing is that Psylocke tanks black over Hulk while she's boosted, lol.0 -

Yeah that's pretty much my team. My Psylocke is cover capped at 77 right now, I've levelled her to about 70. I plan to put more in shortly. Unfortunately for me I didn't get a top place finish in Elite so I only have the PVE/1*/two token pulls and have her at 3/2/3 so far.
I said in another thread, she's the female Punisher. Really fun to play too. Abilities aren't too expensive which is nice - long delay abilities can be cool but it makes using the character a slow grind.0 -
I'm pretty sure 4/5/4 would be best for Psylocke after factoring in the likely direction the game balance is going to go, but that is likely a very long time down the road and given there's respec, there's really no reason to preemptively account for things that may not be happening for several months. The 5th cover for red/black is nice, but adding initial damage just isn't that much of a game change for a character whose true strength is in her strike tiles. In the current enviornment 5/3/5 is obviously better because as long as there is Spiderman, you probably won't ever use the blue anyway.0

seems strange to me that the large boosted crystal icon (same as the PvE) results in me/my opponents having a weaker psylocke than in the PvE. I'm getting lvl 41 with 2617 hp 34/30/27 primary match damages. the stock psylocke is 1069 hp. is everyone else getting the mini-boost instead of the huge crystal boost?0

I agree with that statement. From pulls, I have her at 2/3/2 at the moment, at around 60th level. The more she levels up, the more she acts like the Punisher, and directly conflicts with his skills. On the other hand, I can see her being a very much capable Punisher substitute at 5 Red and 5 Black. I don't ever cast her blue; there are better uses for it + 3 turn countdown is too slow for it used in a timely manner.
I'm personally thinking 5/3/5 as well. Maybe if the countdown was 2 base, with reduction to 1 at 5 Blue, that might be useful. But as it is now, by the time Bewilder goes off, its likely far too late to be of any real use to the team.0 -

In PvP, the boost adds about 80% to all base stats. In PvE, the boost adds about 100 levels to your stats.
Note that at the high end, getting 80% more stats at level 141 is considerably more useful than adding 100 levels to your stats, but on the lower end, obviously getting the 100 levels is better.0 -

Yep. Not only is the countdown tile an issue for Bewilder, but it's too much of an AP drain for little benefit.
It's rare for enemies to have 19 or whatever crazy number of AP a level 4 Bewilder steals anyway. Most enemies won't have that, and if they do, chances are its in a colour that neither of you really uses/needs hence why it is stockpiled so high.0 -

If the enemy has 19 AP of a color they obviously can't use it, because even Sniper Rifle uses only 19 green.
Looking at the Thor/Wolverine balances, it's intended that a character's 3 skills are all roughly equally useful. Bewilderment isn't necessarily less useful than Psychic Knife or Psi-Katana, especially given the 5th cover bonus is rather small, especailly for Psychic Knife (Psi-Katana is easier to spam than Psychic Knife on a standalone basis). Now, Bewilderment is a lot weaker than comparable AP stealing skills, and it's also weaker than the two defining high end blue skills in the game right now (ATU and Magnetic Field), but that's not going to last forever. Blue is not going to always be a color that ends game when you've 10 of it. AP stealing abilities are not going to be as powerful as they currently are forever.0 -
Man today has been brutal for me, I managed to climb a bit past 400 despite all the OBWs, hulks and Classic Storms to about 3rd place. Suddenly the RNG has not been kind to me and now Teams I was fighting fine before, is murdering me with gem placement, and giving the AI constant cascades(I've had about 3 matches where the AI got 10 cascades in a turn with at and making 2 critical tiles), leaving me pretty much unable to fight back and guarantee the loss. Now Im sitting at 350 unable to move up. I wanted 700 for the wolv cover too0
-
RNG is bein' a lot nicer to me now. Pull my 300 point token, get 4th black Psylocke cover. 2/2/4, and she's actually tough enough now to pose an annoyance on her own if people queue me up.0

Psylocke is basically the best (meaning, most difficult) opponent for a Patch right now.0

The fact that attack tiles continue to function even when your whole team is stunned really messes up Patch. Even with a complete stunlock you can still end up taking grevious damage from a single attack tile punching you for 500-600 each turn from your Berserker Rage.0 -

Yep. Punisher's attack tiles can be mitigated by the fact that you can stun him before the countdown complets and/or destroy the Molotov coutndown. Ain't no stopping Psylocke. It's like Doom's attack tiles, except you can get them off much quicker.0 -
I went to bed in second place, at a little over 600 points, unshielded, 50 or so points behind first. I woke up at about 670 points, in first, 100 points ahead of second. I had won three defensive matches in the night, two to the same guy for +30 and +28 points, and lost one to end up +58 for the night. I had debated throwing up a shield before going to work but now I want to see what happens.
This has been a slightly odd tournament for me. I'm not complaining.0 -
Man, I would love to make a run up to 1200 for that red Psylocke, but there's not enough points in the eco-system right now. I'm at 944, and most matches are giving me 6-8. Can't see making it there before every retaliation is the equivalent of 20 wins to overcome.0

Man that guy must have had revenge on his mind to lose twice to you hahaha.0 -
