I know this may not help too many people unless you have 3* rosters but the combo I used that allowed me to defeat all nodes on the first try was Cage, Deadpool and Switch. This combo is my favorite PvE combo right now. My Switch is not optimally covered as she only has 3 blue but even with that, it was just whales whales whales all the time as I just concentrated on matching purple and her blue power converted tons of tiles into purple while usually providing cascades. The ironic thing was I used deadpool whales to beat the deadpool node fairly easily. I didn't have to use DP points in any nodes. Cage's protect tile really helps against the annoying hand minions and normal matches while you can build up his yellow and black to murder people, especially when tough opponents appear on the extended nodes. Deadpool's red is really effective for taking hp away fast and effectively. I also max out Switch's green because it is a life saver for me in PvE. I plan on replacing her purple covers when I get more blue because I always pair her with deadpool and I always use whales instead of her purple. The Doom node was the most difficult in my opinion.0

As proposed here, I tried with LCap/OBW but really failed (I can't even beat the 1st wave !) probably because LCap is not covered enough.
For info, my opps have level 80-81.
Thanks !
My roster
Would highly recommend trying it with 2* Magneto and 2* Storm. That's far and away been the 2* combo I've seen most people mention.
Could also try combos using OBW- her and Ant-Man alone could probably do it. And of course, make sure you're specifically using the loaner Ant-Man and not your own, as the loaner Ant-Man has a full 13 covers.
Many thanks, it worked on 2nd try ! Got my antman, yes0 -
Bit late in responding but after many many attempts with various different combos (not just ones listed here) I finally managed to beat this with Patch & OBW.
Once I was finally able to get AMs purple off and clog the board with attack tiles (I had awful luck with boards most of my attempts) I fired off Patch's green a couple times and it was pretty much done and dusted. Attack + Strike combos were downing most enemies in 2-3 turns.0
