Really? What level opponents? Mine wiped in the first wave.

    Final node says level 198.

Yeah, got it the second time through. Just a bad board the first go.

Last time this event ran, it was tough but I usually got a wave or two in. Now? Wiping in first wave of last node every time.
LCap, Hood, Falcon, Kamala, Mags, Storm, OBW, doesn't matter.
1k damage per Caltrop, 3k from Flamethrower, my Ant-Man is dying before I can kill a single enemy.

    Just, ugh.

I think the first wave of the last node is the hardest. Depending on if your team is based on AOE or not, Kishu and the Pyro need to go down first, their damage is the nuttiest.

I eventually won with Patch 166, Loki 134 (5/3/3), and loaner Antman. The loaner Antman does quite a bit of damage with his yellow, his blue helps with attack tiles for when Doc Ock cascades all your stuff (that **** got Insult to Injury off like 6 times in the one turn I left him alive...), and his purple I ignored. Standard Patch/Loki strat of Berserker Rage/Best There Is > Illusions > Trickery and putting Patch in front to take hits got me through. If they get a single Flamethrower off in wave 1, quit. Otherwise, after wave 1 you should have enough stuff on the board to push through.
  • Hi
Would appreciate some advice of which team to go for for the final node, my roster is in signature. My Cap and Hood don't have the right covers in place, which seems to be the favoured approach, so looking for other ideas/combos.....

    Cheers
    Whosaninja

Edit: Managed it with Cap and Hood after all, although Cap was the only character alive for the last 2.5 rounds

I did it with Lcap, stock Ant-man and OBW. I used a red/yellow and a blue/purple boost to get Cap up and going. After a while you have enough blue shields to minimize any damage. Take out last goon with red and have a blue ready to stun the tile mover like mentioned earlier. Then it's just chipping away till they're gone. Only had to use OBW heal once, and that was just to prevent a possible damage move cascade or super if my blue happened to run out. After getting 2 Peacemakers cycling it was just building up AP, using OBW purple to siphon off any AP from enemy before doing the red/blue move at the end of the wave.
  • So my last node is level 189. I have a 168 AM

    Now I'd think having a 202 X-Force DP/Wolvie would do me good.

    Nope.

    166 Hulk with Anger?

    Nope.

Ok Falcap and run a defensive game?

    Nope.

Wipe after wave 1 or 2. I do not get it.
  • My advice : ant-Man, kamala khan, Rocket and Groot
    icon_rocket.pngicon_antman.pngicon_kamalakhan.png

I did it with a 2/2/2 Ant-man (lvl 127) and I choose Kamala Khan (LVL 166) in order to heal my team often. The 3rd guy was Rocket and Groot (LVL 166), matching blue, yellow and green for Groot and waiting for revival power. Keep green for KK and using yellow ant-man and blue Grocket for attacking and healing the team at the same time. Use purple when the board promise you a match-5.

Nodes became easier at lvl4, 5 but i have been surprised by the first and the second with an offensive team, no possibilities. icon_mrgreen.gif
  • Tried everything and wiped, oh well I'll see another AM purple in a token so it's not too bad. Just disappointing that my roster isn't good enough.

Same here, I tried everything on my roster.

    KP and OBW
    LCap and OBW
OML and OBW (incidentally the best I did was with this combo and match damage boosting blacktile.pnggreentile.png )
    OBW and Ares

I think a stealer is essential, but I also think that my current roster just isn't equipped

Also still stumped- people talk about using OBW, but mine dies to Caltrops before I can fire a single ability. Tried patch and Loki, but again Loki and Ant-Man are dead to caltrops before I can fire Loki black.

I have 2 purple covers already, think I'll just say screw this event and move on. Nowhere near the headache/health packs I'm spending.

Even with maxed LCap/Hood + my 3/2/2 Ants, I wiped on that last node twice in the first two rounds. Just couldn't get any defense tiles laid down. Finally got it the 3rd time with some stockpiles.

I wiped 1st time on the Doom node too because I stupidly forgot that was really him in there and used LCap/Kamala/Falcon. 10 red tiles infected with demons by the 4th turn was not fun. Came back with IF/Cyke/ and Cage to re-act a classic Luke Cage story from the 70's: "Where's my money, honey!"

use the loaner antman. fully covered, he's much better at level 70 than your 3/2/2, no matter what level yours is.
  • 535 Kamala Khan, 355 Ragnarok, Loaner Ant Man. Just waltzed right through it where my Maxed LCap and Hood failed.

Not a lot of people realize just how potent the KK/Rags team really is. His red is very cheap and feeds his blue which heals him. Both his skills are cheap, plus double heals on his blue. His blue charges green tiles that she can match with her purple, setting up quick and easy embiggened bashes.

Add Ant Mans spammable skills and blue Crooks stealing **** and it's a wrap. Computer can spam skills for Rags to tank all day.

Ants and strike tiles and attack tiles and bashing. God forbid you steal a Sacrifice or two.

For those fielding lower level teams, try bringing a storm (1star or 3star) black teamup. Save it for use after caltrops goes down to basically clear the board of them (or most of them anyway).

God I really hate the 3rd missions and the legion of Deadpools. He gets enough purpleflag.png and whales me to death. I guess I just need to deny him a bunch.

I'm mainly using Patch, MNMag, and CStorm, and I haven't explored too much with other combos yet.

My roster is maxed at 94, so my scaling was generous, with the last node having levels 80-81. Beat last node first day, first attempt, no boosts with:

    94 OBW
    94 2*Thor
    70 AM loaner

Basic strategy was denying ap and healing with OBW, 2*Thor for dmg and some ap generation. Fully covered AM loaner was pretty useful. Didn't get many chances to use his purple as I needed to use OBW purple most times. However, I managed to get his blue tile down and it is an excellent way to deal with special tiles some of the waves pump out. Instead of focusing down special tiles I can steal them!

AM yellow I used occasionally, but thor's yellow is really good board shake and feed for call the storm. My thor was close to dying once, but OBW heals were very helpful.

For those wondering about the scaling on the lower end, my last node was level 62.

Used fully covered level 40 LCap, Hood, loaner AntMan (lvl 70). Had to restart a couple times due to bad board/cascades but otherwise pretty easy going with LCap and AntMan dishing out the damage. Focus on building up the blue initially, then everything else will fall into place.

Thanks DDQ for all those health packs, now I know where to spend it on! icon_e_biggrin.gif

Edit: forgot to add, my roster level is 39.

Hi - could someone explain to me why this is a 6 day event?

I completed all the nodes and received Ant-Man cover in 4 hours.

    So why 6 days?
  • It's looking like our scaling never adjusts, regardless of how many times we lose with our strongest heroes.
