  • Got it on my 5th try with Loaner Ant-Man, Iron Fist, and 3* Thor. Tough fight, but I finally managed to get Small Time Crooks out at times when it would be useful.

After a zillion attempts, finally cleared the last node. (levels 198)

Team was Kamala (3/5/5), loaner Ant-Man, and Human Torch 3* (4/4/5)

I only used Kamala green once on the last node, otherwise I just got Human Torch Green and black rolling, and hit with red several times.

Ant-Man purple blue and yellow just healed with Kamala passive, and stole tiles/ticked damage.

Very helpful was having two sets of countdown damage that triggered on the START of my turn- made it easy to control when I went into the next round. (ants! and torch green.)

The only bummer was that going into Bullseye round he got first shot, and one shot my Ant-Man with his crit tiles. icon_e_confused.gif
But Kamala and Torch were enough to finish the fight.

If I had the luxury of planning for the stage, I'd have probably used a 5/5/3 Kamala, and a 3/5/5 Human Torch, but I used what I had.

The problem this faces is the enemies scale, but Antman doesn't, so Sentry (~180) just blasts him out with Supernova. Meanwhile, players with lower rosters and scaling destroy this with the given Antman.
  • Any hints guys for the last node with a 2* roster ?

As proposed here, I tried with LCap/OBW but really failed (I can't even beat the 1st wave !) probably because LCap is not covered enough.

For info, my opps have level 80-81.

    Thanks !

Would highly recommend trying it with 2* Magneto and 2* Storm. That's far and away been the 2* combo I've seen most people mention.

Could also try combos using OBW- her and Ant-Man alone could probably do it. And of course, make sure you're specifically using the loaner Ant-Man and not your own, as the loaner Ant-Man has a full 13 covers.

Your roster's about close to mine. LCap's just too slow, and you don't have a Kamala with a yellow cover. I'd suggest OBW with either Torch (cheap Red and useable black that can over right trap tiles) or Wolverine/Ares.

Another tip is to make sure have Antman's blue out before you kill the last enemy in wave one so you can steal Sentry's attack tile when he bombs you as his first move in wave 2.
  • I can't even get past the 4 deadpool waves.

I think I just have a bad roster for this event but I'd anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. http://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/Oshalei/

Enemies are 103-117. I tried lcap with hood and OBW but it was too slow with only 1 red for cab and my super low level hood and even though I was surviving okay they just killed me slowly with white damage and a few abilities I couldn't stop.

3rd node (128-140) complete with Cyclop + OBW + Wolverine 2* (could use Fist but he is stealing OBW pink) - done with 89 hp on wolverine (not killing dino first was a mistake)
last node (169-170) complete with hood+lcap (both 140 lvl, don't have ISO to level them more) and loaner antman.
    Now my antman is 2-2-2

Just want to say thanks to the forum for helping me beat this one, probably would have given up without the advice found here.
Long story short managed a win with 135 LCap (max covered), 153 KK, and the loaner Ant Man.

    Background:
I have a roster of several 166's and 1 OML so the game figured a wave of 140+ would be appropriate.
I tried all of my great maxed characters of Patch, Cage, Hulk, CMags, LThor, etc

Came on here frustrated and saw several peoples suggestion of LCap and KK. Under leveled/covered her yellow was only healing for approx 450, but it still added up amazingly. The early rounds were the hardest when health started to drop low and Ant Man almost bit the dust. After getting some blue protection tiles and throwing the shields the healing brought everyone up to full by the end.

    Thanks again.

I was finally able to beat this with a fully covered Ares lvl 82 (5/5/3) and OBW lvl 74 (3/5/5)! Such low levels meant OBW was low on Health but managed to survive all 5 rounds but then enemies were only 80-81. Tried about a dozen times, this time the key was stealing a defense tile in wave 1 which allowed OBW to match some purples and blues to heal up. Followed all the tips before my post.

    - need to survive wave 1 with some Antman tiles placed (I killed ninja, then flamer)
    - match blues whenever you can so that you can heal, or save for small time crooks
    - stealing Sentry's strike tile helps a lot
    - down the Sentry fighter ASAP in wave 3 as he will single handedly ruin this strategy
    - try to finish each round with a skill so you get first move. But sometimes this is hard as when you have a lot of Antman tiles down, enemies die fast!

Just got a few of my 3* guys above 100 and now I'm trying to beat 5 waves of level 111, with a loaner Ant-man.
The lvl 70 Ant-man becomes a liability, no matter what I try, every round I'm weaker than the other team.

While waiting for the next sub to start for the wonderful adventures of the Heroic Juggernaut and friends I decide to have one last go at this. Just for scene setting here's my tools and my nemesis':

    My team:
    LCap (2/4/2 lvl 118), OBW (3/5/5 lvl 94), Loaner - +2 redtile.pngyellowtile.png , +2 bluetile.pngpurpletile.png , TU (Doc Ock)

    The Enemies:

5 waves of lvl 185 villains and goons. (Yep my scaling is stupid)

    How I did it:

First off it's important to get steve up and running so prioritise Blue and Purple, Widow *should* tank these colours with an undercovered Steve and build up your AP quick, as soon as you have enough blue Stun that ninja who uses caltrops and start collecting red and purple instead. Use OBW steal as soon as it's available to help perpetuate your redtile.pngbluetile.png stores and fire Steves redtile.png at the character as soon as you have enough. Alternate your stuns between caltrops ninja and Daken to stop either of them using abilities to quickly and save whatever yellowtile.png you collect for sentinel of Liberty (it will be far more useful than Ant-Man yellow). Rinse and repeat still focussing on redtile.pngbluetile.png to use Steve's stun and shield while picking up stray purpletile.png to steal AP. This should beat round 1 (but will require a little luck from the starting board). **Note: when using steve's shield attack ALWAYS over write a defense tile, if it's covered well enough to overwrite CD tiles then target those instead.

By round 2 you should probably have two stuns out and 2 shields out as well, keep using them targeting whoever you like (I focussed on sentry) and use your sentinel whenever you have enough placing your tiles towards the edges. By this point Steve almost perpetuates himself and barring some sort of **** AI cascade you should breeze through the rest of the challenge.

Believe me when I say I know this challenge is hard (far as I'm aware nobody else had to deal with LVL 185 with a mostly 94 roster) but with a bit of planning it can be done - even undercovered.

I beat the node (123-124 for me) with the loaner, Cage (135 5/4/4) and IF (135 3/5/5), with +2purple blue and daredevil teamup.

Beat first time with this team but tried with a SW/IF team (failed hard)

Farmed purple and black. Used purple exclusively to wipe out main threats and black, ensuring I kept above or close to 12 total. Turned with Antmans blue when I could to steal the attack and strike tiles before they got to much.

Lost Cage due to an opening round slash leaving IF to punch his way though. Allowed the Muscle to produce strike tiles which Antman turned. Spammed ants ants ants on the last turn to have Antman the lone survior! Close but still fun.

Easier than the first time, but my roster is much more developed now.

After wiping hard many times this team got me through - thank you. Once you get HT black and green down and get a number of strength tiles it was fairly straightforward. All characters finished with decent health.

i also used 2 +2 AP boosts and a match damage boost. Had a sniper rifle TU waiting but didn't need it.

    Thanks again! icon_e_biggrin.gif

I gave up on winning this thing, but last night my 3*Thor and 3* Torch combo got through that 3rd node.
I was shocked, so I played the 4th. After I beat that, I figured "why not?" and pushed into the final node.

I lost someone (I was so excited that I forget now) in the 3rd or 4th round, but got the right tiles to push right through.

I was stunned to win this thing. I didn't think it was going to be possible, and played it one more time as a flier with some health packs remaining.

I just won it on my 3rd ttry with the tried and true team of stormneto. Only used Ant Man for his ants ants ants power.

now question, replaying nodes, does it do that 50/50 reward nonsense?

Yes, if you're looking for additional victory prizes, you're in for a grind.

I finally beat this. KK, OBW, and torch.

Just died on the antman level though. My lcap with only 1 red is just too slow.

I realized this morning that I hadn't tried Growth Industry on my alt-account. That roster has 7-10 fully-covered characters but the highest levels were in the 120-128 range. However, since I generally only play DDQ on this account, I have over 100 health packs. icon_e_smile.gif

Ended up having less trouble than my main roster on the Doom node. Limped through the first Survival with Cyclops, Hood, 2* Storm but everyone was dead or less than 1000 by the end. The last node was the bad one. I made it to the end on my first try and died at Gorgon. Did a few experiments and eventually got it with Loaner Ant-Man, *** Magneto, and Hood due to the many Protect tiles.

The one thing I did not realize: Ant-Man's blue power does not steal on the countdown, it literally happens on start of your turn. So using Intimidation will only hasten the countdown and not trigger steals. icon_e_sad.gif
