Over half of the people in the top ten for my current hard mode bracket don't have any characters above level 50. I know the scaling is a little weird but I don't see how it's even possible to beat some of these fights with levels that low.0

Mags is super charged so just level him up with the iso you get, if you don't have mags your screwed. mines at level 41 at the moment and he is doing serious damage0

What kind of points totals do they have?
That X Wolverine and 2 mooks for over 1000 points looks very vulnerable.0 -

6000-8000.
I came in 7th in the first hard mode tournament but I'm getting trounced in this one =p0 -

With every event I see less and less a reason for scaling to even exists. It seems to benefit no one in the end... it might sell more boosts/medpacks though.
If they want to have a fair system, just plan the missions right and don't scale them. Everybody will have the same chance at competing and progress further if they have a better roster or get lucky or are willing to use/buy boosts. As I said earlier, at least this way you get a sense of progression and feel that your team got stronger, seeing that you can progress further and further in the tournaments. Right now with the scaling it's just a grind all the time, you don't really feel any progression since the content just keeps getting harder and harder for you. Also at least scaling on your own progress would seem more fair than cumulative scaling, which is extemly fickle and depends a lot of the people in your bracket (unless it's scaled on a greater spectrum).
I remember Oblivion did the same thing. You went up to level 2, all enemies are now level 2 as well. You went up to level 3, all enemies are level 3 now as well. Even the low level cannon fodder enemies like rats posed a constant threat to you. When you finally gotten some equipment this scaled a lot better though.
In any game that's about building up a roster or a characters, you want to feel stronger and stronger while you progress through the game. In this one, even the first node in a event can feel like a threat, even though it's likely not supposed to be.0 -

^ this. Hard mode netted me 2500 vs the 1k for regs. Good idea. Still stoked to have 500s up for grabs everywhere. No cmag tho0

My Hard tournament was much much easier for me this morning. The 2.5k fight with IW/Punisher/Don started at less than 100, and jumped up to 128 after beating it. Blew threw it 4 times in a row with no problems at all, now just clearing up the rest of the level.
Shame the end rewards aren't 5k any more, though I wonder if the 5k ISO rewards were meant as an unannounced incentive for people to play early, and not to join the tournament later and rely on rubberbanding to get you near the top of your bracket.0 -
just broke the 50'000 barrier in the main. my easy sub is at the same difficulty as my hard sub. There really isn't any worth in doing the easy, apart from extra iso and the points when the hard sub has had a few rotations.0

Since he's boosted I actually like to use Captain America in this event. A few of his AP cost could be reduced, but his abilities are pretty solid against countdown tiles/strike. You can either overwrite them with your blue or red skill or match them with all of them. Thanks to the AP return of the Red/Blue you can use those skills quite frequently too and at least boosted he has a nice pool of hitpoints as well.
Done a few missions with Classic Magneto, Cap and OBW. It's pretty slow, but relatively safe. Can't really use him with my Patch though, since his Red and Yellow have priority over Patch which makes his Red do laughable damage.0 -

I find it mildly amusing that at Lv230 in these events, 4* characters like X-Force Wolverine and Invisible Woman are at their absolute peak and max out at less than 10000 health (i.e. the same peak we can reach). Yet 1* characters like Iron Man and Juggernaut are well in excess of that...0 -
oh man... For the first time i felt so annoyed by Invisible Women lock tile skill... cannot get the necessary ap since most tile got locked down and i cant make any cascade
well as least i know that IW has the potential become one of the best defensive character in the game since it also create protective tile alone with the lock down... and make the lockdown tile explore which allow more cascade... it really work well with some1 like punisher that deal damage and with the current pve the mafia also generate free ap for her to put more lock down and protective tile0 -

Happened to me and a few others in the Support forum. In my case, I should have had a mix of Highly Trained and Standards but they all showed up as Standards. (The reward notifications were correct)0 -

Magneto blue can overwrite locked tiles btw
i prefer use it on spidey lock xD
and also my magneto only 3/2/0... Damn sad no translocation skill to utilize the purple ap i gather
hopefully the next sub event ended and i use the token to get as least a purple skill of magneto >.<0 -
