started out low and play some and i can see why they go up. I gave up when my health packs ran out the last level was 180. I wake up today and my last level is now 240 that is a 60 level jump without even playing

Do you check what level your nodes are after you've beaten them, Slide? Otherwise you just missed the jump you just caused yourself.
  • Yeah I'm noticing the same thing on some nodes, for some reason after completing a pass. I don't see any scaling changes. I log off, and when I return to do my next pass after 8 hours, all the variable difficulty nodes have jumped up several levels! From 130 to 190, 170 to 220!

If community scaling is actually turned off, I cry foul, because it isn't! Personal scaling is still there although there might be a chance for some reason it's delayed! However given the way it is reacting I don't think it is actually turned off or some thing is broken!

I actively check the nodes after I complete them.

After my last clear 4 hours ago, the Bullseye node was at 365. It went up to 371 without me playing anything except ddq.

There's a chance the server was just behind updating your scaling.

Community Scaling is likely still on in some capacity. I noticed the Goon node levels are increasing fast like they use to under Community Scaling (easier nodes for everyone to beat). We had a ton of Goon nodes last PVE and they did not increase this much.
  • My final node went up 4 levels in the time it took me to go to work and I haven't touched any of them in almost 12hrs. So looks like they forgot to turn it off on this one or turned it on to see if we would notice.

Definitely feels like community scaling is on.

Community scaling messed this event up for me last time it ran, now it's messing up for me in a similar fashion with it apparently turned out.

On a similar note, are the harder nodes meant to increase in level if you clear only the lower nodes? My second to last node has gone up all the way to around level 250s when all I've touched is the essential character nodes in the final grind as of now. I've never noticed it before but it might just be my error.

Looks like they might have turned community scaling on. But what I think is also responsible is the goon nodes.

Last event the goons were the hand. So you were taking damage from caltrops and turn to smoke.

These goons you either take a lot of damage or none.

My last node on play 1 I took damage on second last node I didn't. On play 2 the 2nd last node had scaled higher than the last.

The second clear I breezed the last node and it has jumped a lot now the last 2 nodes are equal.

Community scaling is definitely back on. I checked after my last fight last night after beating it and they were all at 205. I've checked again just now and they are 254 without me fighting them at all since last night.

Yes that's why there are 2 grind school of thoughts. Easy to hard or low point to high gets the most points but will scale higher.

Hard to low is worth a bit less but you finish the hard nodes before they max scale.

Pick option 2 if your not able to grind the hard nodes once they scale too high.

That same one was listed as Hard for me this time through, and it was only my second pass. Something strange is afoot at the circle K...

It's on for sure. I've been watching and my levels have gone up twice since my last pass now.
  • Was actually wondering about this this morning.

Decided to take a run at PvE again after not playing for a minute.

Ran two nodes listed as "easy" that wiped out one and then two of my heroes respectively, came back this morning to find that each node had jumped 50+ levels.

Looks like it's my cue to bail on PvE and go back to DDQ only. icon_e_wink.gif

I've only really seen it on the 3 hard goon nodes. Doesn't appear to be on essentials or not as much.

Quit complaining guys and gals, you are likely to be given a moonstone token and 500 ISO for scaling issues!

I can't believe that's not enough compensation for your troubles. All you people do is take and take...

Get with it Devs!!! I wish I could take your surprise community scaling and stab you in your cold black hearts with it!!!

Is it too hard to even make a post informing us of what's to come?

I have seven friends named Richard. If I were to put all seven of them in a sleeping bag, you guys would still be the larger bag of ****.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but wasn't the last run of Unstable Iso-8 also the final event that had community scaling before they turned it off "permanently"? If my memory isn't playing tricks on me, then I'm going to bet that something about how they switched scaling on for the previous run means it wasn't affected by the global "turn off scaling" button they hit afterward.
