  • If it is supposed to be challenging make it fair to everyone. Not this random ****. How is 3 x 74 lvl enemy is comparable to 3 x 230 lvl ? Make fights the same difficulty for everyone. Quit with that stupid fight scaling. Make some fights that are 230 for everyone not just those who play bit longer.

Anyone else find it hilarious that they offered refunds on Wolverine and Thor, got people to sell them, and then basically churn out 3 events in a row with those heroes required? So glad I sold my 70 wolverine and maxed my ares / pumped punisher to 90 only to have them be utterly useless for current events.....

yes. another slap on the face icon_evil.gif

    Seriosuly, what the hell ?

    BW - 40
    C.storm - 35
    Hawk - 30
    Daredevil - 18
    Spidey - 15
Wolvie - 8 ( sold it on skill change ) - he could save the event in some way, for me was 69
Ironman - 5 (he was rerolled - i have all skills lost xp thou)

And thats it ... How should i fight lvl 80 enemies ?
I barelly won 2 fights, lost like 5 by now.

Its a week break or what ? How can you change skills, let ppl sell their chars and now make that char needed ?
To think i lost like 50€ on char slots ...... Why are you ruining the fun ?

I feel you. I also sold my high level Thorverine duo and invested all that ISO to my 3* characters. Obviously a big mistake since this event doesn't support them (Punisher, Hulk, IM40). I don't have any high level 1*s either and leveling those few I still have just for this event seems like a waste of ISO in the long run. I strongly dislike the fact that so few hero characters are playable in this event. It practically denies most of the high damage hitters and tanks and leaves us with just the back-up characters to grind 10 minute long tedious battles. And most of the time your team comes out limping one foot in the grave. Fun? Heck, no. I hate this PvE event. Despite all the expectations it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Since I have no 2* Wolverine or Thor, all current three events are quite a waste for me. Not much to do. It all really seems like a farewell party to Wolverine and Thor where nobody else is invited.

This actually might be a good time to take a week or two break from this game. Who knows... maybe I'll be able to rehab myself from this addiction since the trip has already turned bad. icon_neutral.gif

won a 3rd fight, lost another 3. so thats 3/like 8 or so. I have 84 points in the event, top player "Tyrantvirus" has 1930. His highest lvl is ironman 42, BW 37. I have almost 188h by now in this game (yea i know - kinda addicted). Can any1 tell me how this is happening ? 84 points 59th place atm, and top players has 1930 points !?!?!

And making 2 events, where most ppl sell that 2 chars ?! not cool, really not cool ....
  • after 'their servers churn through the data of play-patterns and looking for players who have fights that are too hard' they'll introduce their newest feature: 'Pay 100hp to instantly win the mission and earn points!' which will of course be doubled in price in the near future if you use it too much.
  • I assume the level of the enemy is based on your roster? But shouldn't it account for the fact that having a level 141 Magneto isn't going to do you much good because he's not allowed to be used?
  • The problem with level scaling is that it SHOULDN'T be equally difficult for everyone.

I didn't work hard and pump iso into my characters just to have to fight as hard as some scrub with a level 30 IM35 to achieve the same result. The game should be harder for the weaker players. When the first PVE events came out I could barely compete, I didn't have the levels or characters. So I did what I could and sucked it up and improved.

Now I'm being penalized for being good at the game. That's stupid and backwards.
  • My secondary account has beginning hammer dudes at level 10. This event seems more for the players that are just starting compared to seasoned players. Looks like I'm playing this event with my other account. Should give my phone a break and allow my other account to get some good stuff.
  • Im out of this tourney. I simply cannot compete with the chars Im allowed to play and I refuse to spend ISO to build up a Hawkeye, or my 1/0/4 GSBW, etc.
  • i loaded up the game again and the dakan and 2 **** mission has now removed the mandatory lvl77 daredevil and replaced him with a mandatory lvl16 wolverine. oh and the mission is still lvl201 for me.

Yeah this is exactly how I see it. When I started playing I couldnt do anything in PvE event. So I started gathering ISO so I can improve my team. Now people who just started playing have it much easier than people who play for a long time.

This. The thing about how it was before was that it set up a clear progression.

People with max *** characters won their bracket and got all three covers of the new *** and had a shot at the ****.
People with max ** characters and maybe some **** characters got 1-3 *** covers.
People who had a few ** characters not maxed could usually get the ** cover prizes
and people who only had * covers got 1-2 ** covers or recruit tokens.

The progression was set up so that you moved up as you played over time.

Now? We should all restart, so we can jump from * to ****.
  • I don't think the scaling is based on roster, I'm guessing it is based on your MMR at the end of Thick as Thieves. I kept mine floored, and my 1st mission is lvl ~20, and the hardest mission showing so far is lvl ~110. I have a decent roster, though nothing over 85.

Also, and very interesting, the difficulty levels don't seem to change. I've played three missions so far, and my first mission is still parked at lvl ~20. That is WAY different than TaT.

Clearly, the leaders in the brackets have crazy-low PvE MMR, so they can cakewalk to all the placement and progression rewards in this event. I'll have a better time than most of you serious players, but I'm sure some of that later missions I haven't unlocked yet are in the mid-100s, which is going to be tough with the allowed characters.

I agree with Jozier, though. It's wholly ridiculous that certain players can breeze through these missions. The dev team is just all over the map the past few weeks (ever since shields came out). It's like a wildly swinging pendulum, except it never seems to be able to swing toward a good end of the spectrum.

Agree, some ppl play, 10h a week, some 10h day. Why is the difficulty the same for all ?
As some1 said, make some mission lvl 10-15, 15-20 ... 50-60.....90-100 and so on.... new players will farm the 1st few missions, rest will go higher.
And as you progress into the game, u can fight into higher lvl missions.
Stop that **** scaling, some of us invested really much time into the game. Make it fair for all according to time invested.

On a more serious note, should I just throw my roster to their death multiple times so they show up as a statistic on the logs?

Just not playing may not be red enough a flag?

Not trying to be sarcastic or anything. But are you very certain that they keep logs?

Well, no but the demiurge rep in this thread said they were monitoring server data and behaviour patterns to detect 'too hard' fights.

I want to know if absence of playing is server data or if they need me to kill off my goon squad for it to register

This times a million. When I first joined the Red ISO event was going on. I could only complete the first few missions, but whatever, I'm a beginner so no reason for me to be able to do the entire event. Later on I learn that events are repeated, giving new players a chance to experience the story.

Now that I'm able to finish entire events, I see no reason why beginners should be able to do the same right from the start. Also with the added feature of viewing player rosters, it seems that cheating is a palpable problem that has been going on for quite awhile now.

There's one thing that you can be sure of, it'll always swing towards whatever makes the most money.

Seriously, the one D3 employee who is responsible for these "improvments" should be dismissed

    I see.

Hell, I wanna know if retreating counts as a loss for dropping MMR too...

    I don't think we'll ever know....

Are you kidding me? He's making them waaaay too much money!

You need proof? Just look at the Avengers Elite tourney.
  • Hilarious that it is WAY more fun to read the forums than play the game...
