Cool I will be sure to include a shout out to you when we post the "how to get a full refund from D3s Puzzle Quest" on you tube tonight. Not sure how having a name that represents my opinion of D3 is acting like a jerk...but you control the mighty forums of D3. Enjoy the power trip.0

Ouch!
Giving a 1 star rating to this app isn't done " to enact change."
It would a way of expressing our dissatisfaction and letting others know our experience.0 -

I still play nearly every day. This game is a lot of fun for me. Every change that's made, regardless of what that change does, gives me a fun new chance to relearn how I should play.
All of these changes of the past week (rebalancing, Thick as Thieves, you name it!) have each added to my level of fun. I have paid money into this game, but purely as a move to support the developers, and nothing else. I don't expect this game to be my main source of entertainment, I expect it to be a diversion. And it does that very very well.
IceIX, you continue to do good work! And your dev buddies too! I hope you continued success. And please keep up the solid efforts to increase diversity in the game. I will continue to enjoy the journey we are on!
P.S. I am experiencing the lag issue others have mentioned though. A fix to that would be nice!

Ahhh I had just assumed you quit! Good to know you're still around.
Nope, i still browse the forums every now and then and I still play quite a lot! But I dont have the time to place highly in most PvP or PvE events now, and I really dont have the time to comment on what goes on in here. But I still appreciate the hard work of the devs and the people who really contribute here. Don't have the time to argue with whiners though.0 -

It's wonderful that you charge people for an avengers tournament and then nerf the two most played avengers in the middle of it.
You paid to enter a tournament featuring characters that had imminent nerfs, knowing characters can be nerfed mid tournament.
Caveat emptor
Also, caveat emptor or no, it's bad game development to make changes like this in the middle of something. The could have easily waited a day and a half to make the changes on Thor and Wolverine. It's not even a client thing because I see the change and haven't had a chance to update my client. Instead they put it out now.
For comparison, League of Legends doesn't make sweeping changes whenever a major tournament is going on. Not only is the chance of creating bugs too high, but the disruption on an the active tournament is too much. Instead, they wait until afterwards to make the changes.0 -
Everyone knows the app rating rules anyway:
1* - It asks for some money at some point/nerd rage
5* - Company shills posting reviews
3* - Golden.
I'm sure there's a meme about it somewhere.0 -

The Thor/Wolvie changes suck to those of us that have no real alternatives, but that's not an issue really, balancing will keep on happening.
The new PvE scaling and the ridiculous stealth increase in boost prices are incredibly ridiculous though. The scaling just forces you to have a bunch of unused chars you can sacrifice to get the enemy levels down to a beatable level, incredibly boring and tedious. The old system was much, much better imo.
The boosts though... What a D*CK move, seriously. It just stinks of greed and feels like a slap in the face. Especially, as others have noted, in conjunction with the PvE scaling. This is the first F2P game I've spent money on and I've really been enjoying it up until this last round of changes.
First it was shields, then you doubled the shield cost, with NO information. And now you've made boosts cost HP? Are you kidding me? You've gotten my last penny, I'll probably still play, but unless this god-awful, greedy move is retracted I won't give you a single dollar more.0 -

Now comments like this make me want to post 0 stars. Just keep up with the arrogance on top of all the shown incompetency.
The last major f-up I recall was around Elemental War of Magic. Packed with CEO flaming the negative commenters on the forum after they pushed out the half-done unplayable tiny kitty and 7 patches in first 7 days just to make it start up and able to get the first moves.
Then shortly later the boss guy recovered his sense and came out apologizing for both the game, the decisions and his arrogance to come out speaking before listening. What probably saved the thing from free fall at least.
They say whoever not study the history is doomed to repeat it with all the mistakes.0 -

You know I try not to be rude or mean here , but damn, after 90+ days of playing, the responses I've seen received personally, in this thread and other threads, my patience with D3 is paper thin. Judging by the reaction of others in this thread , I am not alone.0 -

I don't see what IceIX said here to be arrogant? And what do you want him to say to people threatening bad reviews? Do you want him to apologize for the changes and promise to put it all back to what it was? Because that won't happen either.
I work in Customer service, and guys like IceIX have the difficult job of catering to the players, and promoting the business. They made all of these changes to push their business in a better direction, and they probably made them after a lot of thought and contemplation.
And quite frankly, a week from now, none of these changes will be a big deal. None of them. Cost changes are normal, balancing changes are to be expected, and this game is still too new with too many new features for us to expect everything to be perfectly polished the moment it is released.
If anybody has given up on this game to the point to give it a 1 star review and try to drive other potential customers away, what SHOULD IceIX be saying to them? You guys are asking for the impossible here.0 -
I find it amusing how you say you listen to the forum opinions a lot, yet the vast majority of forum opinion seems to go unheard.
I enjoy this game, I like the challenge and I love most things Marvel related. However, some of the recent changes are seriously destroying my love for the game. The change of the boost price is very close to the last straw for me. I only have characters in the mid 50s or so, and without the +3 AP boost (which I refuse to pay for) there is virtually no way I can complete the current PvE level 230 events.
It seems to me that while recent changes have been done in the name of balance, they come across as in the name of "greed"....
- players are using Rags to blast through matches unharmed - nerf him
- introduce characters (Ares and Patch) that have abilities that hurt themselves or their team
- make matches last longer so players are forced towards buying Health Packs if they want to push high in tournaments
- introduce Shields as a way to make money
- realise players are using shields to get the highest progression rewards, so increase the shield price and make the rewards harder to reach
- change the cost of the most popular boost to 100 HP(!)
And that's just off the top of my head. Virtually all of those changes are hurtful to the players. I understand the Rags nerf (though you went too far and I still want my refund I requested), but the rest just seem greed driven IMO.0 -
Heh, IceIX. thanks for being present during this patch. It helps having you around for comments and such....makes me feel better since AR era (after rags).
I kinda like the changes....makes green feel much more like a power move. Still wish we had a respect option (hint hint)
btw...happy new year. keep up the good work0 -

Maybe if you only have characters in their mid 50s, you SHOULDN'T be able to beat level 230 PvE? Maybe you should have to buy boosts, and maybe they should be priced reasonably so you can't rely on them all the time?0 -
I_Have_A_Snarky_Name wrote:I enjoy the fact that the juvenile moderators changed my name from D3isgreedy to the lame name you see now. I guess the truth hurts. You fellas should contact Cygames about Rage of Bahamut and ask them about the massive refund campaign that hit them. I am sure its going to be heading your way soon. I guess they dont think there membership will rally off forum in Line, KiK or any of the other messenger apps that are out there. What happens when the 1% of your whales stop spending money or quit the game altogether? You would think your plan would be to retain membership...not drive it away. Real cute mods
Wow, "d3isgreedy" was deemed not acceptable???? Kinda funny but pathetic at the same time,0 -

Or maybe I shouldn't be forced into buying the boosts just to compete with the top guys on the leaderboard? Or maybe as I only have mid 50s characters I shouldn't be forced into facing level 230 opponents?0 -

Nobody is forcing you to do any of those things. If you only have mid level 50 characters, you probably shouldnt be competing with the top guys on the leaderboard. I saw another thread where you'd be accused of being a cheater if you accomplished that.0 -

So you're ok with the rising cost of hero points and boosts?0
